To add to the Joe Rogan thing, the following is awfully fishy.

Misinformation around the COVID-19 and vaccines remains widespread as cases are rising in the US, especially in states like Florida and Texas.

I've tried to look around, but facts per se are very scarce about the illness of these radio hosts and advocates. The one fact that is near impossible to find is whether these people got sick all by themselves or whether others around them got sick, too.

From what I can tell, they got sick all by themselves.

What are the odds?

I mention this since it seems not much attention is paid to the "politicization" of the pandemic, that now with vaccine mandates has been more blatant. Generally called "the middle class", were those who had to take the greatest strain from day one. A small study released in SA showed that the biggest contraction in financial status, by far, was felt by them: the employers/employees of small to mid-sized commercial businesses in light engineering, the service, entertainment, small resorts, travel, farming, stores, eateries and other industries. They are across the racial spectrum, blacks, whites, 'Coloureds' and Asians. Those people, uncoincidentally, are mostly the conservatives who comprise much of the support base of the opposition party to the ANC, the Democrat Alliance, representing reduced Gvt. power, more free enterprise and property rights. They gained no Covid subsidies or unemployment benefits from the Gvt. The lower, poorer and mostly unemployed class continued collecting their regular welfare stipends. On the other end, the numbers of 'elites' who are mostly the ruling ANC 'crats and State connected cronies/nepotists went on collecting their bloated salaries out of the Exchequer and living in luxury through the lock downs. Additionally the big corporations and their staff stayed intact.

Many of the middles eventually liquidated, lost their properties. Seeing the To Let signs on factories and restaurants (etc.) going up, it was them I felt for most and still do. (In my line of work I became familiar with and appreciative of the individual energy, ingenuity, originality and enterprise needed to create and sustain many a business and industry, and the skills of artisans). The owners who out of loyalty to them, struggled to carry their employees' paychecks out of capital, going further into the red every month, until one day painfully facing them to tell them the business that was the livelihood and a shared central purpose to them would close. All of them have gone largely unrecognized as the (unneccessary) sacrificial casualties of the immoral lockdown etc. policy.

"So what? People are dying! They are only ''businessmen'' - others will take their place!". (Particularly Marxist origins - and a concrete bound thinking which can see dying but is blind to life).

This devastation, politically justified as the necessary Covid response, to the world's middle class is quite general, nowhere as pronounced as in the USA, I think. That's class warfare. There (and obviously more apparent to you guys than me) is most noticeable, an ongoing, concerted assault against the conservative middle class by 'the ruling elites' - who had already made their wealth in a free, capitalist system, presently sitting pretty as self-re-invented, new-leftists/socialists, or the many who've not lost a day's income from the state, all can afford to look down their noses at and condemn, not to forget, punish further, the millions of small producers, staff and workers and artisans.

Welcome back, Ellen; hope you've been well.

Thanks.  I've been well except for the usual problems I've been having - increasing eye pain and post-polio difficulties.

I haven’t been gone in the sense of not reading OL, but I won’t be returning to active posting, although sometimes I'm terribly tempted.  (For instance the assessment by Stossel you quoted that "Vaccines work."  No.)

I just found that line from Adams ("an off-switch for children") too hard to resist interjecting. The line was whimsically funny in the original context, but in the current context it's like a sinister summary of what’s being done to children.

Ellen,

This reminds me of a quote by Oscar Wilde.

The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself...

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who misses you.

Vaccines--but they are not actual vaccines--seem to be making everything worse qua Covid. Also, some young people are being killed through heart inflammation.

This. Is. Just. Awesome.

That's the only way to talk to the blockheads pushing the vaccine while ignoring the medicine.

And even then, I doubt many of the blockheads will understand.

But I'll put the item here as a redundancy for those who want to bask in the sunshine of truth.

From Rush Limbaugh speaking to “The On-Air, Washington Post.” The covid endgame: Is the pandemic over already? Or are there years to go? Thank you Snerdley. I didn’t get the shot and I am just fine in spite of reports coming out of Rio Linda and I am not worried. Other smug sorts are boasting, I got the shots so I am not worried about covid. Those blockheads. I don’t know about you folks, cough, cough, it’s not as if smoking cigars causes lung cancer. And NOT getting the shot is NOT going to bring on dire consequences. Cough.

The following has been mentioned but it is still being reported and this time in the Deseret News.

How many COVID-19 vaccine shots do you need? Fauci said Thursday that there’s good reason to believe a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine “will actually be durable, and if it is durable, then you’re going to have very likely a three-dose regimen being the routine regimen.” To support this, Fauci has kept his eye on data from Israel, which has been giving third doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to its people over the last two months. Two studies — like this one and this one — based in Israel show, so far, that the third dose — a booster shot — is providing protection against COVID-19.

Mandating vaccines for people who essentially don't need them is in the process of creating a superbug called an "Escape Mutant Virus." This virus will be immune to all vaccines.

There are two approaches for using the COVID-19 vaccines. The first is "one size fits all" and means universal vaccination of the entire population.

The second approach is to vaccinate only the people most vulnerable to infection and flood the market with therapeutics and treatments for the illness.

The Biden people are opting for the first and even waging a war against the different kinds of medicine.

Vaccinating the entire population irrespective of their metabolism comes with serious dangers, one of them being the creation of a superbug. The process is similar to people who take too many antibiotics and the infectious bacteria become immune to them.

As the virus mutates, it needs to be whittled down in effectiveness through natural immunity, which is 20 time more effective than any vaccine. Since over 99% of people who get infected with COVID-19 recover, the natural immunity route is the best. Unfortunately, there is no way to get rid of this virus. It will now come seasonally like the common cold or flu.

Implementing a massive universal vaccination policy makes this virus stronger.

All of this is explained in the following video by Peter Navarro, the man who kicked off Operation Warp Speed, and Dr. Robert Malone, the man who invented the technology used in the vaccines produced in Operation Warp Speed (the vaccines Biden is distributing).

Dr. Malone reads ALL the science papers, having written many himself. When he speaks, he has the chops to speak. And he says what is in the science papers and what is in the press and the policies being promoted by the pro-universal-vaccine people are vastly different.

Two of the FDA’s most senior vaccine leaders are exiting from their positions, raising fresh questions about the Biden administration and the way that it’s sidelined the FDA.

Marion Gruber, director of the FDA’s Office of Vaccines Research & Review and 32-year veteran of the agency, will leave at the end of October, and OVRR deputy director Phil Krause, who’s been at FDA for more than a decade, will leave in November. The news, first reported by BioCentury, is a massive blow to confidence in the agency’s ability to regulate vaccines.

The bombshell announcement comes at a particularly crucial moment, as boosters and children’s shots are being weighed by the regulator. The departures also come as the administration has recently jumped ahead of the FDA’s reviews of booster shots, announcing that they might be available by the week of Sept. 20.

A former senior FDA leader told Endpoints that they’re departing because they’re frustrated that CDC and their ACIP committee are involved in decisions that they think should be up to the FDA. The former FDAer also said he’s heard they’re upset with CBER director Peter Marks for not insisting that those decisions should be kept inside FDA. What finally did it for them was the White House getting ahead of FDA on booster shots.

FDA’s former acting chief scientist Luciana Borio added on Twitter, “FDA is losing two giants who helped bring us many safe and effective vaccines over decades of public service.”

“These two are the leaders for Biologic (vaccine) review in the US. They have a great team, but these two are the true leaders of CBER. A huge global loss if they both leave,” Former BARDA director Rick Bright wrote, weighing in on the news. “Dr. Gruber is much more than the Director. She is a global leader. Visionary mastermind behind global clinical regulatory science for flu, Ebola, Mers, Zika, Sars-cov-2, many others.”

Two of the government's top scientists who make and enforce the rules aren't sticking around. They know what is coming from unleashing vaccines on the public in such an amateurish and political manner.

Note: The problem is not that the FDA "approved" this or that. It's that the Biden people are unhappy the FDA is demanding proper science, so they are not even seeking FDA approval to release vaccines and vaccine-related policies on the public.

The drive for "Children's shots" (where not indicated and needed by a child's health) is an obscenity. "Trust the science", more than trust the potent immune system of a youngster, naturally resistant to Covid, thankfully - I think not.

"Trust the science" really means: put your complete faith in the pharmaceutical method. Good enough for ageing adults at higher risk, certainly. With the best intent and expertise in the world, those bio-chemists and public health officials can't anticipate what the longer term dangers could be on the grown-up child. Let alone, the likely weakened immune system from having regular vaccinations for multiple mutations of CV, since his/her youth.

The poor parents today, having to weigh all this up needing to decide what to do.

We all got jabs as kids - for one's OWN safety foremost. Measles, chicken pox, etc. To be pressured to give these unrequired jabs to one's children, only, to 'stop the spread' - i.e. only for the presumed mass safety of all others - is too much sacrifice to contemplate.

The euphemistic niceties of framing this as good old-fashioned "children's shots".
