"... how does one get hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin if one gets sick?"

The magic word is “telemedicine.”  For example,
Dr. Shelley Cole, M.D.
I used her to get  a prescription for Ivermectin.  She charged me only $45 or $50 for the phone call up front (I forget which it was).  Her secretary will have you fill out three forms.  She can also give you a prescription for HCQ.  (You can get Zinc at any drugstore.)

Her phone number is on her website.

(PSST ... Actually I did this for someone else so that would have immediate treatment on hand.  They were making noises about how they might get vaccinated and I wanted them to have the treatment option to help persuade them not to.)

I don’t know what state Peter lives in but the governor / Führer of mine ended it June 1st.

“The VA is continuing to protect our veterans.”  The point some here are trying make is that, statistically speaking at least, the vaccine is harming your veterans.

“I had no Reaction at all to the first [shot/jab] and have not heard of anyone else who did...and you know how small towns are for gossip.”  My experience differs from caroljane’s.  Though I have heard some people had no reaction, others got from mildly sick to very sick.  Nobody I know of has died and I haven’t been able to follow what happened to those who got very sick.

But his isn’t the time for such stories.  Nobody is saying, “Get a shot and drop dead.”  It's a question of statistics and risk.  The risk of Covid is trivial, the risk of a serious reaction to the vaccine is not.  Again, read the easy to read article "Should you get vaccinated?” by Steve Kirsch.

Champ! Don't die. Please get the shot! Apparently the "variants" are out there and the shot I got also gives protection for them. So, I will keep the "anti-venom" in my body. Not that I know how to get rid of it, Grasshopper. joke.

I have my second Pfizer shot next week, as most of our town has by now. I had no Reaction at all to the first one and have not heard of anyone else who did...and you know how small towns are for gossip.

When we are as old as you and I the risks are negligible. But I chose not for myself. The obscenity is injecting the young and able and statistically invulnerable with a so called vaccine that isn't a vaccine  Babies next? Qua a body a vaccine doesn't modify the body but this does. So what happens 5, 10, 20 or more years from now? And what happens to a fetus?

ThatGuy quoted: "Too much time alone can make your social thermostat feel like it’s on the fritz."

I agree but as Robinson Crusoe said, social media like OL helps you feel “linked in.” Would any subscribers want to meet others in real life? I can’t say I do.

I am not sure why but females seem to be more sociable and worry more too. How do these clothes make them look? Have I put on weight? At the party who should I talk to and who should I avoid? What topics are best left alone?

I would let er’ rip. Who did you vote for? Him? You idiot.

That does not surprise me. When Dr. Navarro is saying things like, 70 percent of my fellow specialists back my considered opinion, signed br Dr. Navarro in his laboratory, I will consider the backlash justified in being brutal.

Antibody tests have nothing to do with vaccines , just get another shot !

Remember when the old movie trope was to declare a character was going to be saved from a dire medical condition because they were  admitted ‘to’ the ‘Mayo Clinic’ the pinnacle of medical expertise, it was synonymous with Dorothy waking up back in the farmhouse.

Fauci is so much better , he doesn’t play a doctor on TV , he is the doctor on TV.

I wonder if he thinks he is going to be used as a fall guy, probably he’s not stupid. Look how he has succeeded in his environment, the guys gotta be killer , yeah ?

Weird Twitter allows that  kind of talk about St Fauci .

Carol,

Any thoughts about the brutality of the CCP? Aren't they the ones who created the virus that is murdering the world?

I actually did think Navarro was a medical doctor, Until I looked him up (I won't say where). If he in not an economist, please correct me. I assume he is a Ph.d. Anyway so I was more satirical thanI meant to be. ( I vaguely thought he was the spokesman for the medical team who announced Trump,s recovery from  covid.

Are there any other economists now who have the eminence that Alan Greenspan did, who advise Trump as Objectivist influencers, in the modern parlance?

2020: A Propaganda Masterpiece

The abridgement makes the video more persuasive as well as shorter.  Sometimes less is more.

His website is amazing -- We can learn a thing or two about smear propaganda from my email correspondence with Mark Dery

Mark Dery's smearish article appeared in The Chronicle of Higher Education: The Professor of Paranoia.

Carol,

That is exactly my beef with your comments. You don't know what the hell you are talking about, yet snark as if you do.

Words and ideas are important. On a philosophy forum, they are supposed to stand for more than mere social signals of tribal alliance.

You've got a good brain. It's a crying shame you refuse to use it to find out minimum information about the topics and people you opine on.

(15) Tucker Carlson Today - Dr. Peter McCullough - May 7, 2021 - YouTube

I briefly checked to see if we had already discussed Tucker's charge that the NSA spied on him. Axios has what passes for a scoop these days ...

Scoop: Tucker Carlson sought Putin interview at time of spying claim.

-- the story is not as brief as Axios gets, which may mean Jonathan Swann did do diligent digging. Carefully parsed denials are so NSA, after all.

Quote

[...]

What's next: Experts say there are several plausible scenarios — including legal scenarios — that could apply.

  • The first — and least likely — scenario is that the U.S. government submitted a request to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to monitor Carlson to protect national security.
  • A more plausible scenario is that one of the people Carlson was talking to as an intermediary to help him get the Putin interview was under surveillance as a foreign agent.
  • In that scenario, Carlson's emails or text messages could have been incidentally collected as part of monitoring this person, but Carlson's identity would have been masked in any intelligence reports.
  • In order to know that the texts and emails were Carlson's, a U.S. government official would likely have to request his identity be unmasked, something that's only permitted if the unmasking is necessary to understand the intelligence.

In a third scenario, interceptions might not have involved Carlson's communications. The U.S. government routinely monitors the communications of people in Putin's orbit, who may have been discussing the details of Carlson's request for an interview.

  • But under this scenario, too, Carlson's identity would have been masked in reports as part of his protections as a U.S. citizen, and unmasking would only be permitted if a U.S. government official requested that his identity be unmasked in order to understand the intelligence. And it's not clear why that would be necessary here.

The intrigue: Two sources familiar with Carlson's communications said his two Kremlin intermediaries live in the United States, but the sources could not confirm whether both are American citizens or whether both were on U.S. soil at the time they communicated with Carlson.

  • This is relevant because if one of them was a foreign national and on foreign soil during the communications, the U.S. government wouldn't necessarily have had to seek approval to monitor their communications.

One would hope Tucker does not burn his source.  What are the chances the middleman was a foreign intelligence asset?

For background:

I used to check those things on Wikipedia but I have stopped doing that since you do not trust its  credibility. I admit I have not found an alternative source for basic facts that does not force me to wade through tons of verbiage, I do assume from the originator,s statements who they are and don't double Che,ck, as in this case.

so I will go back to Wiki and if they are wrong it won't be my fault. Anything to please you. Well, almost.

NSA good. FBI bad. CIA neutral? O'Biden. Not good but not bad. Just go along but don't cater to radical left wing. Just throw them occasional tootsie pop. Kamala, stupid, bad. Send her to border. Make her live in Quonset hut. Signed Phil Hartman playing Tarzan on SNL.
