Backlighting
Lest we forget. Exactly 71 years ago, elements of the 101st Airborne Division and other U.S. troops held off a massive German assault on Bastogne, Belgium. Bastogne was a key town at which many roads and railways converged, making it strategic for both the Germans and the Americans. The fighting was bitter. The German commander sent a delegation to ask for the Americans' surrender in the face of such overwhelming odds.Brig. Gen. Anthony McAuliffe of the 101st sent the Germans a one word reply:"NUTS."https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Bastogne
