Carly Fiorina

Turning our backs on our allies and showing weakness and indecisiveness at every turn is the surest route to war. I'm sure Carly will have plenty to say about this and will say it better than anyone else could. It is totally consistent with views she's already expressed.

If someone with a spine were in the White House Putin wouldn't be in Syria bombing our allies in the first place. It would be nice if John Boehner is replaced with someone with something resembling a spine. I wonder what other Christmas presents Obama has in mind for the world this year?

Few men are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality of those who seek to change a world which yields most painfully to change. Ernest Hemingway

It’s October and it’s the same old story, but Carly is in third place. Here are the latest national results from the Pew Research Center: 1. Donald Trump: 25% 2. Ben Carson: 16% 3. Carly Fiorina: 8% 3. Marco Rubio: 8% 5. Ted Cruz: 6% 6. Jeb Bush: 4% 7. Mike Huckabee: 2% 7. Rand Paul: 2%.

Let’s get ready to grumble! The first Democrat, Progressive, Socialist debate, hosted by CNN and Facebook and sanctioned by the DNC, will be held Oct. 13, at 9 pm ET, at the Wynn Las Vegas. Anderson Cooper will moderate. Senator Bernie (Maple Sugar) Sanders of Vermont and former Secretary of State Hillary (Old Hickory) Clinton will go head to stump on the national stage for the first time. Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee, and former US Sen. James Webb of Virginia WILL be expected to create a fuss and take up space. We want Joe! We want Joe! The last I heard Vice President Joe Biden is a no show. He can still show up but gaffs are expected, and propaganda will abound, even without our Veep with foot in mouth syndrome.

From The Christian Science Monitor: "There is nobody better at delivering a message than Bernie," Republican Richard Tarrant, a wealthy businessman who lost a 2006 Senate race to Sanders told Reuters. "His style is a little gruff. You can poke at him and get him angry, but he's good at rolling out of it," Mr. Tarrant said. "He's got numbers, he's got facts, and if he gets caught by surprise, he'll shift really quickly to his stump message. I don't think Hillary stands a chance against him." But next week’s debate in Las Vegas will put Sanders on the biggest political stage to date, though he has drawn massive crowds at rallies and town halls around the country.

Very interesting article. Amazing how Barbara "The Miniature Person" Boxer "loves her country" and that is why she is eviscerating Carly.

This smudge on the surface of history as the Senator from California is a big Evita backer. There is love of country!

“This is yet another issue I have to talk about because I love my country so much,” the senator said. “I need people to know who this woman is and what her pattern is of hurting people, stepping on them, and then rewarding herself.”

And...

Fiorina was, in Boxer’s telling, a monstrously greedy businesswoman who would rather fire American workers and give their jobs to China than take a pay cut, even though she made hundreds of millions of dollars and somehow found extra cash lying around for corporate jets and personal yachts. Worse for Fiorina, many of her public statements—that Americans are not entitled to jobs, for example—confirmed the story Boxer was selling.

I am sure that the little doll house that Boxer lives in is completely green and environmentally correct.

“The heartlessness,” Boxer sighed. “She makes Mitt Romney look like a populist.”

Isn't she cute...like a baby rattlesnake whose venom is more poisonous and has not developed rattles yet.

And of course a complete lowlife.

Does anyone not think Carly is secretly hoping Old Hickory Clinton wins the nomination so that Carly might secure the Veep slot?

You would think Hillary Clinton won the debate, not Sanders or (no show) Joe. She was so danged happy towards the end. One scenario is that the lack of Joe Biden meant Obama is admitting her unbeatable, frontrunner status. Perhaps that also signaled a backing off of the FBI or an eventual Presidential pardon just after the convention . . . IF she should win it.

Webb seemed like someone I could salute if he were POTUS, but he also seemed diminished if not mentally damaged by his Vietnam injuries. Sanders would gleefully add 26 trillion to the debt. The only way out of that is the traditional method of a democratic war. Attack China and then claim a moral and legal right to denounce our debt to them.

Why Is Hillary Clinton So Unhappy? Judge Andrew Napolitano | Oct 15, 2015: . . . . Why is Hillary so unhappy? She is unhappy because she realizes that she needs a criminal defense lawyer to deal with the FBI investigation of her while she is running for president. The FBI is looking to see whether she failed to protect national security secrets (espionage), whether she destroyed government emails (obstruction of justice) and whether she lied under oath about all this to a federal judge (perjury).

She is unhappy because she has repeatedly characterized her own behavior as "allowed at the time," which flies in the face of the law and is simply incredible. It was allowed only in the depths of her self-justifying, narcissistic mind.

She is unhappy because the FBI has discovered that it can retrieve the emails she thought she destroyed and that her server was directly connected to the Internet, making it and the secrets she stored and transferred on it vulnerable to attack. She is unhappy because she was hacked -- we do not know whether successfully or not -- by the Russians, the Chinese and even the Israelis.

She is unhappy because she got caught in a scheme of her own creation. I suspect she is about to become even less happy when evidence of why she did this comes to light. I suspect that evidence will soon be made known that will demonstrate conclusively that she and her aides were part of a criminal conspiracy to enrich the Clinton Foundation by unlawful means -- including moving levers of governmental power -- and thus enrich her and her husband. And she is unhappy because the FBI will soon be asked to investigate that.

She is unhappy because only Democratic die-hards believe her. She is unhappy because voters will not elect an unhappy person as president -- and she knows that.

Why is Hillary Clinton so unhappy? According to her, when she and her husband left the White House, they were dead broke. Yet they left with a truckload of valuable furniture, dinnerware and flatware that was the property of the federal government, for which they were never prosecuted.

They also left with contracts for lectures and speeches worth between $20 million and $30 million in the ensuing years. And they have done quite well financially. According to The Washington Post, between the time Bill Clinton left office in 2001 and January 2013, when Hillary Clinton stepped down as secretary of state, Bill alone made $104.9 million for speeches, and Hillary's standard speaking fee is $200,000 a pop.

Why is Hillary so unhappy? We can start with the fact that she is her own worst enemy. No Republican dirty trickster could have put her into the legal and political mess into which she has put herself. Her surreptitious refusal to follow federal law and her congenital lying about it have caught up with her.

By using her own computer server instead of the government's in the four years of her tenure as secretary of state, she knowingly compromised the national security of the United States. She did this by receiving and sending at least 400 emails that contained information that under federal law was confidential, secret or top-secret, which is a felony.

The failure to preserve data of that nature is a federal crime, whether it is stamped with an official secret denomination, whether one has read it and perceived its secret nature, and whether it has fallen into enemy hands or not. Gen. David Petraeus was convicted of retaining the printed versions of secret and top-secret data in a desk drawer in his guarded home. It was alleged -- but not proved -- that he shared this data with one of his subordinates. Even though the subordinate had a security clearance, Petraeus was prosecuted.

In Hillary's case, the data have fallen into enemy hands, as one of the folks to whom she regularly sent her emails -- in utter and reckless disregard for the secrets they contained -- was her political adviser Sid Blumenthal, an employee of the Clinton Foundation at the time. Blumenthal's insecure server was hacked by Romanian intelligence agents, who were convicted and sentenced to prison.

Why is Hillary so unhappy? When the State Department was sued by public interest groups seeking copies of Hillary's emails -- lawsuits permitted and even encouraged by the Freedom of Information Act, a federal statute that presumes that documents and emails in federal custody are available for the public to see -- the State Department answered the litigation truthfully by telling a federal judge that it had none of Hillary's emails.

Then The New York Times blew the lid off this by revealing her exclusive use of her private server, and the same federal judge angrily ordered the State Department to get its hands on Hillary's emails. Then she revealed that she had erased 30,000 of the emails, which she said were personal. After that, she surrendered the printed versions of another 30,000 emails, which she characterized as governmental.

When the judge -- who had been appointed to the federal bench by Hillary's husband -- looked at what the State Department had turned over, it did not seem complete to him; crucial months were missing. So he ordered Hillary to swear under oath -- "under penalty of perjury," as he put it -- that she had surrendered all governmental emails in her possession. She did so swear in a document now made public.

Then the House Benghazi Committee subpoenaed Blumenthal's emails, and its investigators discovered governmental emails Hillary sent to him that she had not surrendered to the State Department, even though she had sworn that she had.

Let's stick up a little for Carly, shall we?

For example, we could follow the example of the ladies on The View early last month:

That showed Trump.

Stay away from Carly's looks.

That's sexist and demeaning to women. As the lady said, talk about her brains...

Let's see what The View folks have to say now:

Oops...

(PS - I really do wish Carly were doing better in the polls.)

Thank God Carly answered back.

I wish she would get more harsh with The View, though.

The one thing the left-wing "shame everybody into compliance" crowd cannot withstand--and they crumble like babies--is a public  attack on their own actions when those very actions make them feel ashamed. Especially when they are caught sniggering from "oppressor perspective" at an "oppressed victim" they normally defend.

I wish Carly would stop lecturing everybody--too often in a condescending manner--and start swinging...

I favor Trump, but I don't want to see her tank.

Agreed.

The tilt of her head is the equal of "rolling your eyes" which I have worked very hard at eliminating from my kinesics.

She closes her eyes and looks imperceptively down and right as she gets into what you refer to as her "lecturing" persona.

I also am somewhat surprised at her lack of her hands being employed. I have to look at some of her standing speechs/talks.

Trump is extremely demonstrative with his hand gestures.

This kind of press drives me nuts...

If you've been following Fiorina's New Hampshire campaign over the past few months, you can see the crowds are getting bigger and enthusiastic. What’s the appeal? Her supporters say she talks clearly, she answers the questions, and she never stumbles.

This is NPR's Adlai Stevenson meme:

"Carly Fiorina doesn’t go to the lengths that Donald Trump does," Hoffman said. "She’s a little more measured, she still has a quality about her I think in terms of her communication style that makes her different."

Forthcoming, but rarely off message. Aggressive, but not out of control. It’s a style that plays well on TV. In Wentworth earlier this month, Dick Paquin said he decided on Fiorina over his previous favorite, Rand Paul, while watching TV.

"We saw the interview that Carly had with Chris Matthews and she just cleaned his clock," Paquin said.

Well here is her opportunity because the idiots excluded Carly from the Saturday night debate...

The former Hewlett-Packard CEO has lagged her GOP rivals in national and state-level polls, but she complained in an open letter to the Republican National Committee on Wednesday that the debate process is "broken" and urged the RNC to intervene on her behalf.

“Networks are making up these debate rules as they go along — not to be able to fit candidates on the stage — but arbitrarily to decide which candidates make for the best TV in their opinion," she wrote. "Now it is time for the RNC to act in the best interest of the Party that it represents.”

All the remaining Republican candidates could show

They could refuse to participate in this media "war on women."

Romney, Gingrich Call For Carly Fiorina to Be in Saturday's GOP Debate

Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich both took to Twitter on Thursday to demand that ABC News include presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina in Saturday's Republican debate in New Hampshire.

Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO, risks not being admitted to Saturday's debate, which is co-sponsored by ABC and the Republican National Committee and will be held in Manchester.

ABC announced the criteria last week, saying also that no undercard debate would be held.

I was in a restaurant recently during the last 'kiddie table" debate and a TV was showing that debate with the sound off.

I like Carly Fiorna generally, but it really is pretty jarring to see her body language and facial expressions without hearing her voice.

There is a lot of rage in Carly Fiorna. Lots and lots. Unlike Trump, hers ain't fake...

Precisely.

One of the ways that I taught my students about delivery was watching "film," it was the "60's, with the sound off.

Try that with The Donald, his hand control is right out of the Dale Carnegie school.

Let me see tonight when I have the time.

I will pick a clip and give it a shot.

I have been thinking of doing something on this anyway.

I hate to see what's happening to Carly.

Way early in the primary season when that matter of Trump's comment about her face came up, she got a lot of sudden support from the establishment. And she got snotty about it.

Now she is learning what I said back then, that when her use as an attack dog against Trump was no longer effective, they would spit her out like a watermelon seed or fishbone and go on to the next attack dog. And they wouldn't think about her again.

It didn't take too long for them to start spitting. But I think they kept her dangling a bit just in case they needed her again. But now she is learning that they don't care about her, they really, really, really don't care about her. She got punked big-time.

And I think that realization is making her bitter.
