I didn't think that. [Truncation restored: And even if I don't think that the Special Master is chickenshit or that his legal opinion is worth chickenshit, the full set of Trump concerns are still being looked at very closely.] [Link to: "chickenshit"]

So why keep harping on the details of what is ultimately a frivolous lawsuit by the DoJ?

I don't know what is meant by "what is ultimately a frivolous lawsuit by the DOJ".  The DOJ search and seizure warrant was executed at Mar-a-Lago -- and the FBI carted away documents that fell under the warrant. The warrant was signed by the Magistrate Judge Reinhart.

Two weeks later Movant/Plaintiff asked for "judicial oversight and relief" before the District Court that procedurally has jurisdiction over magistrates. That's Judge Aileen Cannon's court.

I could not identify what lawsuit you were talking about.

Analogy Warfare!

My remit here is to note and link to stages of the "three-pronged" legal encounters underway -- borrowing the term from Styx.  I wonder if you found time to listen to the Styx episodes above or not.

I'm not sure you will ever know what is meant by that.

By analogy, your intelligence-gathering is from a higher plane than mine.  You are in the AWAC far above the ground.  I am in the cohort of one who links to stages of the war on the streets/in the courts.

I believe that you are informed by the links and details. When and if you care to answer a question like "What happened in the first quarter," you can click on a link to the legal filings and update or augment your priors.

But, framing it in language you might understand (but I'm not sure), I suppose I could have said this is a frivolous sports match. If you don't believe me, watch what happens.

At least you aren't looking down your nose at anyone.

A criminal investigation is one thing.  A lawsuit brought against the government by a former president is another thing. They are related of course, because one thing let to another.

Perhaps "framing" as a story or narrative or timeline-with-unpredictable-outcome would help. Forgive the passive voice.

I say we here are all watching with interest "what happens." Not least because the happening is still happening. The ultimate happenings haven't happened, while our predictive abilities are in play.

Or maybe I could have tried this: It's a big fucking waste of money, taxpayer and otherwise.

I understand your opinion.

[...] Or maybe I could have said lawfare in the place of neutral justice informed by the constitution. And incompetent lawfare at that.

Yes, I agree you could have been clearer that you are taking the 35,000 foot AWACs approach. I'd be wrong to suggest that you don't give a shit about the details of the ongoing happenings.  I think that your opinion doesn't rest on the details -- not that you don't give a rap about them.

If you don't get it, that's fine.

Hey, you are a very busy guy.  As far as I remember, you don't generally like to read over legal filings.

Moreover, I believe you are fairly well-acquainted with the strategy of Trump-side legal honchos, although you haven't yet articulated it within a narrative or three-act structure.

‘Surface think wondering.” What will clue you in that former President Trump is running and possibly going to win in 2024? The number of negative stories? Of course. The possible number of Republican contenders like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis? Well maybe, if DeSantis stops sneaking in an extra capital letter in his name.

Peter, regardless how President Trump gets there, he will be there

Will it be pre 2024 as I strongly believe, or will it be in 2024 which would be a certaintly, he will be President.

Don't worry.

The negative stories are in places that are really irrelevant.

Look on the street, that is where President Trump is still the President and where he will be re instated as President or will win the Presidency.

I love DeSantis but he is not going to beat out Trump.

I know it, and he knows it.

Thank God that DeSantis exists but his time right now is for Florida!

President Trump and MAGA!

Ironically, this already being used on Twitter to paint the Q/Anon folks as projecting their own "Pizza Gate"-type crimes onto the left (the irony is that those on the right would be denying/disavowing/hide such, while those on the left are currently championing "MAPS" and such...)

"On September 28 2022, an Imgur screenshot of a contemporaneous tweet claimed that a youth coordinator for right-wing campus activist group Turning Point USA, Adam Hageman, was sentenced to 66 months in prison in connection with a “child pornography case."

I don't think they wanted his sanction, I think at this stage they want any statement, hoping it will have a mistake in it, something missing or something extra... then they go after him on bogus grounds of trying to mislead, obstruct... you get the picture.

You forgot we took X also.. HA! or oops we didnt take Y but you said, you "confirmed" we did .. HA!  Liar!

So long Loretta.

One last tribute post? She was ahead of the times though the pill had been around since 1960 if I ain’t mistaken. Can you believe it? Loretta Lynn wrote this in 1975! And she was banned from a lot of stations.

“The Pill” or “The power of the Pill” by Loretta Lynn.

You wined me and dined me
When I was your girl
Promised if I'd be your wife
You'd show me the world
But all I've seen of this old world
Is a bed and a doctor bill
I'm tearin' down your brooder house
'Cause now I've got the pill

All these years I've stayed at home
While you had all your fun
And every year that’s gone by
Another baby’s come
There's a gonna be some changes made
Right here on nursery hill
You've set this chicken your last time
'Cause now I've got the pill . . . .

Here's a guy, John McEntee, who was trusted with huge responsibilities in the last year of Trump's term -- preparing for the second term and doing his level best to implement Trump's wishes as Director of the Office of Presidential Personnel.

In this Breitbart interview he answers questions on lessons learned, general plans in place for staffing in 2025, insights and tips for activists, enthusiasts and general MAGA stalwarts.

It looks like McEntee will be back for a second interview. I hope he gets prodded for more details of the plan to "radically reshape the federal government," as reported by Axios upthread.

Via Tom Fitton's tweet:

-- added context from the Axios article; Kash Patel and McEntee are both likely to regain tops spots in a second Trump administration; more names here:

Quote

No operation of this scale is possible without the machinery to implement it. To that end, Trump has blessed a string of conservative organizations linked to advisers he currently trusts and calls on. Most of these conservative groups host senior figures from the Trump administration on their payroll, including former chief of staff Mark Meadows.

The names are a mix of familiar and new. They include Jeffrey Clark, the controversial lawyer Trump had wanted to install as attorney general in the end days of his presidency. Clark, who advocated a plan to contest the 2020 election results, is now in the crosshairs of the Jan. 6 committee and the FBI. Clark is working at the Center for Renewing America (CRA), the group founded by Russ Vought, the former head of Trump’s Office of Management and Budget.

Former Trump administration and transition officials working on personnel, legal or policy projects for a potential 2025 government include names like Vought, Meadows, Stephen Miller, Ed Corrigan, Wesley Denton, Brooke Rollins, James Sherk, Andrew Kloster and Troup Hemenway.

Others, who remain close to Trump and would be in contention for the most senior roles in a second-term administration, include Dan Scavino, John McEntee, Richard Grenell, Kash Patel, Robert O’Brien, David Bernhardt, John Ratcliffe, Peter Navarro and Pam Bondi.

Bonus!

TG,

Here's the Gab version. And it embeds just as quickly as Twitter does.

GAB.COM

Disclose.tv on Gab: 'JUST IN - Trump files an emergency request asking the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene in the Mar-a-Lago documents...

Notice there is more info?

I don't know if this will hold, but it's working like that now.

btw - On the substance, this looks to me like a trap Trump set of the Deep State. I wondered what in hell he was doing by suggesting a Bushite (who had signed FISA warrants to spy on Carter Page) along with 2 other nominees guaranteed to be rejected.

Now that Dearie is shitting all over himself, Trump can ask for SCOTUS to get involved. And I bet it doesn't stop there.

:)

296 pages of harping.

My 'substance' take is delayed, but my initial impression is that the proximate goal is to vacate the partial stay granted by the 11th Circuit against Cannon's process. Although the initial yelps of horror and pain from "Leftoids" is expected, a few less-deranged reactors note a kind of "Let's call the whole thing off" theme running through ...

"L'état, c'est moi!"
