Awe here is a song to warm your heart Peter!

??

Bitch
There's something about the way we fit
There's something about this psycho trip
There's something about the way we groove
Something's got me and I just can't seem to choose
I want you
I hate you
The one I love I hate
But the sex is great
The one I love I hate
But the sex is great
The one I love I hate
So I contemplate
The one I love I hate
But the sex is great
There's something about the way we slide
There's something about this psycho ride
There's something about the things we do
Something's got me and I just can't seem to choose
I want you
I hate you
The one I love I hate
But the sex is great
The one I love I hate
But the sex is great
The one I love I hate
So I contemplate
The one I love I hate
But the sex is great
One, two, fuck you
Never say no
I'm ready to go
We're out of control
But I can't let you go, let you go
There's something about the way we fit
There's something about this psycho bitch
The one I love I hate
But the sex is great
The one I love I hate
But the sex is great
The one I love I hate
I could suffocate
The one I love I hate
But the sex is great
I love to hate you
She know I love to hate you
She know I love to hate you
She know I love to hate you, hate you, hate you

I never could stand rap, and I dislike cursing, especially the f word. A little repetition, a fugue in classical music, or a repeated chorus is good but repeating the same words mult times signifies stupidity to me. As lyrical poetry it is on about a 4th grade, mental maturity level. I'm just sayin sayin sayin sayin. I have liked a few raps that are incorporated into a good song like the Black Eyed Peas do, and I liked something Tupac did.  I guess "Go and Love yourself" by Justin Bieber doesn't count as rap but that song is catchy.

To anti-Trumpers, especially those who think the Iran deal was a stupendous achievement.

Any questions?

Any ambiguities?

Anything you want to spin?

Very, very satisfied Trump supporter.

I wrote the following for a different thread, but since the title of the thread did not mention Carter Page or anything near Carter Page, I think it's better to have a copy here in the Trump thread, too.

5 hours ago, Michael Stuart Kelly said:

Here is the Carter Page story in a nutshell.

1. During the primaries, retired British spy, Michael Steele, was hired by Jeb Bush to make a fake Dossier on Trump to feed to the press. But Jeb lost and Trump won.

2. Jeb then turned the Steele Dossier project over to Hillary Clinton to use against Trump in the presidential campaign. Clinton, through Fusion GPS (and a twisted trail of others) paid Steele millions of dollars to complete the fake Dossier on Trump. Steele made up a lot of shit (including Trump paying hookers to pee on a bed Obama slept in), mixed it in with some half-truths, compiled the Dossier, turned it in, and pocketed his millions.

3. Steele then supplied--as an "anonymous source"--information on Carter Page (and other matters) from his Dossier to journalist Michael Isikoff.

4. Isikoff wrote an article for Yahoo News based on Steele's info. The article highlighted Carter Page as a cloak-and-dagger Trump advisor who was in bed with the Kremlin to help elect Trump and have Russia later influence US foreign policy. Isikoff was told that by Steele, but he did not know it came from Steele's imagination, not reality. Isikoff did not corroborate it, either, nor did he cite Steele as a source for his article.

5. Parallel to this, the Steele dossier landed at the FBI through several channels, John McCain being one of them.

6. The FBI, under Comey and during the election, used the Steele Dossier to request a FISA warrant to spy on Carter Page. In fact, the FBI relied heavily on the Steele Dossier in the application. At the time, the FBI knew the Steele Dossier was paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign, but did not tell that to the FISA court. And it presented the Isikoff article as independent corroboration of the material in the Dossier, even though the information given in the article was straight out of the Dossier.

7. The FISA court bought this crap and issued the warrant.

8. Rob Rosenstein, who is currently in charge of the Mueller investigation, was one of the people who requested a renewal of the FISA warrant to spy on Carter Page during the election. Either Rosenstein was incompetent when he did that or was in on it.

In other words, the FBI was (and still is) Hillary Clinton's bitch.

President Trump is slowly but surely cleaning this mess up. After it all runs its course, some FBI people and/or FISA court people will probably end up in jail.

Let me add, hopefully some Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama people, too.

I would like to see proof that Jeb Bush abetted the socialist/authoritarian democratic candidate Hillary Clinton over President Trump. Bush would forever be in disgrace. He would be booed and pelted with rotten tomatoes.

Peter,

Jeb Bush handing over the Steele stuff to Hillary Clinton is a commonly known story. They did this through envoys, of course. Cozy meetings in an airplane on an airport tarmac right in front of the whole world is not Jeb's style, but he definitely aided Clinton.

I'll try to find a link.

Meanwhile, why don't we start with Jeb's daddy? After all, daddy's sons know what daddy does, right?

George H W Bush voted for Hillary Clinton and called Donald Trump a 'blowhard'

This was Ronald Reagan's Vice President! And he was proud to do it! He told the whole world, too!

How's that for standing on principle?

Elitists band together and they suck, Republican and Democrat.

Thanks Michael. I did not know that about George H. W. Bush.

Peter,

I did some more digging just to get some of the nuance straight.

The person who actually funded the original Steele stuff was billionaire Paul Singer, owner of The Washington Free Beacon (a neocon journal). He backed Jeb at first during the primaries and during that time (around June 2015) hired Fusion GPS (who hired Steele) to dig up dirt on Trump. After Trump won the primaries, Singer bowed out, but handed the ball off to Clinton in disgust. But it had to be hidden. Enter the law firm Perkins Coie, Obama's and Clinton's lawyer pals. Singer and Perkins Coie did their thing, then Clinton and Perkins Coie did their thing. Then surprise surprise, Perkins Coie hired Fusions GPS (thus Steele) for getting dirt on Trump for Clinton. What a coincidence! :) And everybody has plausible deniability.

Since then, both Singer and The Washington Free Beacon have sworn on a stack of Bibles that the dirt they paid Steele to get for them was not the same dirt Steel got for Clinton. So, according to them, nothing Singer paid Fusion GPS (thus Steele) for went into the Steele Dossier (paid for by Clinton to Fusion GPS, thus Steele). Yeah, right... Neocons and spooks would never lie... We can trust them... :)

Now get this. Around October 2015, to Jeb's chagrin, Singer switched his support over to Rubio and kept the Fusion GPS contract running in overdrive. This is probably when the Dossier started taking shape for real rather than just earlier stuff about women, Trump University, and so on. That only stopped when Trump won the primaries. But that explains the following from yesterday:

Rubio: Carter Page FISA Surveillance Was Justified By More Than Steele Dossier

TaDaa!

Can't let a big-ass donor like Singer look like the fool he is...

:)

But don't think Jeb and Steele aren't friends and this was all Rubio. They are all close neocon buds. So this move by Singer of sending Fusion GPS and Steele through Perkins Coie to Clinton was sanctioned by Jeb and all the Bushes. And by Rubio, for that matter...

Singer would not have done it otherwise.

I can get you links if you like, but you have to dig through a lot of extra stuff before this gets clear. It's all there, though...

So maybe you're right.

Maybe he isn't a cheerleader or fanboy.

What the hell was Caroljane talking about?  I thought we had almost finished taking her to the woodshed, and now this.

Oh, right, it was a comment on "The Best Days of the Trump Presidency" ... still, fun to have excited OL's leader's curiosity or awe.

Apropos of nothing relevant except tangentially, Mueller is now trying to get immunity for 5 witnesses in the Manafort investigation. I wonder if one of those is Tony Podesta...

Looks like I got my wish.

[Added by WSS: I separately embed the tweet MSK remarked upon. I don't know what gives that account a baseline credibility, but here the anonymous account almost quotes Fox.]

Well, sometimes speculation is right on, and sometimes speculation is not. I forgive the anonymous Twitter account, since their bias is strong, and since they passed the ball to Fox News ...

Anyhow ... the speculation appears to be short of the mark, if you credit the fact claimed in this piece:

Quote

Mueller was tapped last year to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election and whether any Trump associates helped, but he can pursue crimes he discovers in the course of that probe. His case against Manafort has been his most attention-grabbing so far, even though it doesn't directly relate to the 2016 campaign.

Ellis on Monday ordered Mueller to release his entire roster of potential witnesses, including the identities of five people that his prosecutors have granted immunity in exchange for their testimony against Manafort.

A short time later, the lead Russia investigator named the immunized witnesses: Donna Duggan, Conor O'Brien, James Brennan, Cindy Laporta and Dennis Raico. All had indicated plans to invoke their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination had they been forced to take the witness stand.

One person who is not on Mueller’s list is Tony Podesta, the founder of the Podesta Group lobbying shop and brother of Hillary Clinton 2016 campaign chairman John Podesta. Fox News host Tucker Carlson cited two unnamed sources last week to report that Tony Podesta would be called in the Manafort trial, but that has not proven to be the case.

Manafort sat upright at the defense table during the Monday morning hearing before Ellis, wearing a green jail jumpsuit.

William,

Oh... you wild thing, you...

You epitome of humanness in a sea of metaphysical despair...

You very essence of the free and mature brain in a skull...

You complete me...

:)

Well, almost...

Let's see...

Hmmmmmm...

Let's take a gander at the implication...

Podesta didn't get immunity and that means Fox News is the worst of the worst of the horriblest fake news that ever existed?... Right?...

Well...

I would love to be wrong about Tony Podesta, nay, ecstatic, and bow before the terror of the wilds of the unharvested from Fox Farms...

(sigh...)

But it's off to the tweet wars...

Trial, what trial?

Aren't all trials the same?

:)

Anyway, there's an old story about a man about to be executed and said he could make a horse laugh. He asked the Sultan for one year to prove it. The Sultan granted his wish. Then he friends told him he was crazy. How could he make a horse laugh? He said, "A lot can happen in a year. I might die. The Sultan might die. Who know? The horse may laugh..."

So I think on Tony Podesta, who according to anonymous sources, still has an offer of immunity on the table. (And what liberal progressive could possibly object to anonymous sources in the news these days? )

A lot can happen in between different trials.

The sources might be wrong. The judge might not grant Podesta's immunity if requested. Or, hell, Podesta himself might refuse... You know, the horse may laugh..."

But worse, far worse for shattering the illusions and dreams of a realm inhabited by perdurable paragons of perspicacity, could it be?, dare I say it?, oh the horror, the horror... be silent my beating heart... a rare thing of cyberworld and human natureworld itself, despite wondrous mental and spiritual heights and depths impossible for mere mortals to attain, might be wrong...

:)

Michael, I saw that! It was just mean of you, just because my unrequited passion for William sometimes overflows the levee until it is dry, etc., you do not need to mock me for it, especially when I   would not not  know a Podesta if I had to ascend one

Carol,

Like I said, I'm damaged goods...

:)

But if William wants to lead his posts with this stuff, he's off archetype so he takes the response he gets. And, frankly, you were off archetype, too, when you worshipped him.

Since when is the trickster ever worshipped? Isn't the trickster supposed to take it at times, not just dish it out? And what better chance appears to nail his ass than when he gets worshipped? But I feel his and pain. And yours.

I mean, come on. Doesn't the jester ever get a serious moment? Hath not a jester hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions; fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, healed by the same means, warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer as everyone else? If you prick him, does he not bleed? If you tickle him, does he not laugh? So should not a solid reason be for the tears of the clown?

(Oops, there I go again...)

Anyway, at least you didn't offer up a child sacrifice to William as part of the worship ritual.

  :)

And anyway, anyway, the person to worship on an O-Land forum is supposed to be Ayn Rand...

I wrote that one particular speculation appeared to be short of the mark -- if one credited the report I linked to. In other words, writing "Mueller is now trying to get immunity for 5 witnesses in the Manafort investigation." was true, and five people's names were unveiled.  That you wondered if or wished that I "one of those is Tony Podesta... " is shown to not fit this particular trial and Gang of Five.

The reporting from Fox News is updated.

The horse doesn't laugh. It doesn't even drink the water it was led to. It's a story horse.

That's fine.  Qanon says they are all going down.  All of them.  Including the horses they rode in on.  Do details really matter?

Quote

Sincere flattery always works.  Verbose or not.  Caroljane's commentary was in response to my blog entry about the President's Best Days, so I give her credit: "Your meditation shows again that you are that rare thing in the cyberworld, indeed in human natureworld itself, a genuinely free mind, a developed mature brain and conscience and dare I say it, soul."

Anyhow, the Podesta Group and its work with Manafort will probably come out in the Virginia trial.  In the meantime, one can dig back over the ground of their work for the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine, and figure out just why the Group failed to properly report as a Foreign Agent.  FARA, bitches!

Given the update on my soul, the Fox New clarification, one can now wonder if Roger Stone will amend his confident assertion that among the Five unveiled by Ellis yesterday would be Tony Podesta.

Why do you keep citing Qanon to me? I've already said--several time--I think that persona was infiltrated by God knows how many actors on all sides, so it's unreliable. Not credible anymore.

Why would you insist? Qanaon is anything goes in the news...

Er...

Actually, you're right to throw Qanon at me.

Sometimes I quote CNN to you and CNN is much less reliable for news and predictions.
