Frank's Niece!

She also has a memorial on "Find a Grave" where you can leave msges at. Frank and all of them have memorials...and pictures. I go there a lot. You can click on the families names at the end of the pg and go to another family members memorial. Or you can find your own family members.

My family members? Nobody knows where I buried the bodies.

--Brant

You are hilarious.

Maybe Greg should have a seance with Carlos and ask him to share...

Cathy,

Leave it to you to be the one to remind us.

Since you are Christian, I'll meet you halfway:

May Ayn still be somewhere, and be somewhere good...

Michael

Only she knows the secret now...

I always go by the date she was buried, but I've now forgotten it. (The tenth?) I did visit her grave ten years later to that day and left a small bluebell flower picked from my yard, a unique late winter bloomer.

and I was there the day she was buried under a canopy of giant snowflakes and dark sky

I wonder how many of us "original Objectivists [pre 1968]" made personal vows, or, oaths concerning her.

I know that I did.

One had to do with a vow, "by my life and my love for it" that I made when I was sixteen (16).

Another had to do with the first "public showing, on the island of Manhattan," of Atlas Shrugged if it would be made into a movie.

I don't ever see any cardiologists for they want a surcharge

I love your sense of humor Brant. You do so remind me of my father (that's a good thing)!

Wow, she really did impact a lot of people...I still have a hard time understanding it. I remember things she said to me as a young child everyday, but it didn't impact my life...or maybe I just thought it didn't. I wish I could have a do over and not have been so naive :(

Parable of the lost sheep works here, Luke 15:3:

"15 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."

I get it and I appreciate it...and learning new things everyday, with the help of memories. I wonder if all people that come to the last chapter of their lives (no pun intended) review the first of of their life's history to understand the person they have become. Or is it just me....
