We’re off to a great start.” said Randy Slaughter of Rocky Mountain Pictures.“Each of these initial markets have huge fan bases for Ayn Rand’s novel, and we’re thrilled to bring our film to them first,” according to Harmon Kaslow, the film’s producer.“Fans will also be very excited to know they will have the opportunity to pre-purchase tickets very soon at our web site.” affirmed Kaslow. [...]At least, for once, something will debut near where I live, east suburban L.A., and not on the film-colony West Side.

After all, it's about half the size of Houston and nearly as big as San Antonio. If we're going to choose a city in Texas, by all means let's try for the third largest one in the state.JR
Selene
Steve:Thanks for the post.Well, I got eight (8) our of ten (10), San Francisco does not count because it is not part of the United States, especially since Jeff left.Seattle !? I should have thought of Denver. I am surprised that St. Louis or Kansas City is not on the list.Adam
Jerry Biggers
Regarding the screenings tomorrow in D.C. and Wednesday in New York: If you are a TAS donor, Ed Hudgins may be able to assist, assuming there are tickets still available (according to The Atlas Society's FACEBOOK page). Send him an email (quickly). Edited March 2, 2011 by Jerry Biggers
Greybird
Reviving a thread that, apparently, almost no one wanted to use, just in case anyone still cares about this film:It appears to have ended its theatrical run, after nine weeks (63 days) of release. As of last week, the theaters displayed were down to five "and counting" (backwards, that is) on its Website. Starting yesterday, the displayed word is that it has finished its theatrical run.Nothing is yet displayed about a distributor or showings outside the U.S., nor about dates or plans for the DVD.Part 2 has been barely announced, with a minimal Website and a vague premiere date of "Fall 2012," and has a thread here for general discussion.... Wouldn't it be appropriate to finally un-sticky some of the multitude of "Atlas Part 1" threads that head up this section?
