  1. Tonight for the first time I heard a well known voice on a national news program Juan Williams say on "Special Report with Bret Baier" on FOX NEWS that Israel striking Iran to prevent their nuclear weapons program could lead to world war. No one on the panel raised any disagreement with that assessment. Charles Krauthammer gives a 90% chance of a strike before the next American election and agrees the time frame leaked by the Defense Secretary is possible - April-May-June. I know I have been talking on-line about expectations of a financial collapse and world war for some time - you hear a little here and there but I was surprised to hear it so matter-of-a-factly discussed without dissention tonight. Are people in this country really going to be caught by surprise since it is hardly being discussed? Does the public even remotely realize Afghanistan and Iraq and even Korea and Vietnam were tiny conflicts compared to what world war means? I get the feeling that being removed from total war for 2 1/2 generations the general public is clueless. Dennis May
  2. The Palestinians Misjudged the Biden Junta re Israel The Biden junta is for endless war for profit, not against Israel, even though being anti-Israel is the smokescreen. But the Palestinians and the oligarchies behind them screwed up big time. Biden: Here's what happened in a nutshell. A couple of days ago, violence broke out between Israelis and Palestinians in different parts of the world. Then a bunch of rockets were launched by Hamas into Israel. Israel pounded Gaza. Back and forth. Then even more violence broke out in several cities in Israel and around the world. Then a whole big bunch of rockets were launched by Hamas into Israel in several stages. And this happened: Then this happened: Then this happened: Then this happened: Then this happened: Then this happened: Then this happened: Biden said, "Tough shit," (my paraphrase) to the Palestinians. The exact quote is given at the start of this post. More is coming, too. The Palestinians and people who support them thought Biden would be a push-over. He is, but his military commanders are not. The Palestinian side totally misjudged Biden and his love of war profits. And his love of spreading the blood money around to his cronies. I, also, feel Trump's influence in Israel's harsh response. But I feel more the Deep State war machine cranking along (with them big fat Pentagon contracts in view). The pro-Trump people will want to end this flare-up decisively and as soon as possible. (After all, Trump was not alone when his team killed Soleimani. His team people still have military jobs.) The Deep State military will want to get the war ramping up quickly, but then drag it out for as long as possible, preferably with other Arab countries joining in. Who they fight is not important. The important part for all involved is to destroy things and kill people in order to prompt them big fat contracts for their personal interests. For some reason, though, I believe this thing will end soon and end hard. Michael
  3. Peace Breaks Out Between UAE and Israel How are these apples? From the White House site: Joint Statement of the United States, the State of Israel, and the United Arab Emirates Issued on: August 13, 2020 This is a big deal. Foreign policy-wise, it is up there in importance with the USA decoupling from China. Happy, happy day... Michael
  4. Iran Nuclear Deal Blues This just hit Drudge. The link goes here: Netanyahu: Iran Nuclear Deal Is Based on Lies – Here's the Proof This article includes Bibi's presentation on a YouTube video (it's in English except at the very end): There is a massive amount of incriminating material. The full text of the presentation is here. A quote by Bibi from his talk: If this is true, and at this point, I doubt it will turn out to be false, this will make former President Obama, as the leader of a nation, the biggest putz in human history. That dude was preparing the way for nuclear winter. Out of evil? No... I don't believe so. Instead, out of incompetence. Out of sheer incompetence. Michael
  5. Relief I don't agree with everything Bibi says and does, but after the disaster of the Arab Spring, Obama's designs on Israel cannot be trusted, neither through design nor competence. Imagine Israel turning into Libya or northern Iraq. Bibi will not stand for it--loudly. And I believe this is what is needed in the current context. Obama sent over some of his behavioral scientist dudes (and some fine folks from the dirty tricks department) to help dislodge Bibi. It's good to see that not all elections can be covertly engineered through brain hacking. Here's the article from The Times of Israel linked to in the Drudge headline: Netanyahu hails ‘a great victory for our people,’ though Herzog in no hurry to concede As of this post, Netanyahu's victory is only based on exit polls, so there is always an small chance it could be different in the end. Not likely, though. What a relief! Michael
  6. Burson-Marsteller Rejects Israel as a Client; Accepts Muslim Brotherhood ( written by a Burson-Marsteller competitor [1] published by New York Observer [2] ) In the public relations world, Burson-Marsteller is a giant—one of the largest and most successful communications companies. The WPP-owned conglomerate operates 67 wholly owned offices and 71 affiliate offices in 98 countries across six continents. The top-notch firm became legendary for its masterful work during the Tylenol tampering case. They do not shy away from controversy. And they currently represent The Washington Redskins to rally support for the team to keep its nickname, are engaged in an anti-Google smear campaign on behalf of Facebook, handled the Bhopal disaster in India in which over 2,000 people were killed, and represented Blackwater USA in 2007 after it was revealed that some of its employees were involved in the shooting deaths of 13 Iraqis in Baghdad. Despite this appetite for controversy—and the juicy retainers that companies in trouble will pay—apparently even Burson-Marsteller has its limits. They refused to work with the democratic nation of Israel to help the tiny Jewish state improve its image. In turning down a potential $3.5 million engagement, Sigurd Grytten, Burson-Marsteller’s Managing Director said, “We will not deliver tender to such a project… we are running a commercial venture. If we accept this project, this will create a great amount of negative reactions … Israel is a particularly controversial project.” Representing Israel, apparently is worse than offending American Indians, anonymous smears, and shady defense contractors involved in extra-curricular killing... ---------- Burson-Marsteller replies: The opinion piece written by Ronn Torossian was not accurate. He creates the false impression that Burson-Marsteller currently has or has ever had a policy about whether or not to represent Israel. He writes as if he recently contacted a member of the firm and received confirmation about such a policy. Here are the facts. This firm has no policy about whether or not to represent Israel. The statement Torossian refers to was not made recently but in 2011. Further, the employee he refers to no longer works at Burson-Marsteller and has not worked at the firm since 2012. He was never a member of the firm’s global leadership. His sole role was to head our office in Norway. That employee, in fact, was responding to a hypothetical question from a journalist in 2011 about representing Israel in Norway. He answered hypothetically on his own without consulting anyone in the leadership of the firm, and his answer does not reflect the policy of this firm. Again, unequivocally, Burson-Marsteller has no policy about whether or not to represent Israel. Burson-Marsteller works with the Ennahdha (Renaissance) Party. The party, which won the first democratic elections in Tunisia, helped to establish Tunisia’s constitution, which is widely regarded as one of the most progressive in the Arab world. For further understanding of the role the party has played in Tunisia’s democratic development, we refer you to an editorial from January 10, 2014 in The Washington Post entitled, ‘Tunisia’s democratic compromises should serve as a regional model.’ ------------ [1] Bizarre item indeed, an extremely savage hit piece written by Ross Torossian, CEO of 5WPR who represents fundamentalist Christian ACLJ, evangelical Trinity Broadcasting and Inspiration Ministries, American Friends of Magen David and Zionist Organization of America. [2] New York Observer is owned by Harvard-educated Jared Kushner, age 33, son of Charles Kushner (New York slumlord convicted of tax evasion and witness tampering, who donated $25 million to Harvard and funded construction of private Orthodox K-8 and high school named after Holocaust survivors). Jared Kushner is married to Tel Aviv investor and pro-Israel billionaire Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka. Matt Drudge screams: PR giant dumps Israel, signs Muslim Brotherhood... Read more at
  7. The topic title is a quote from another thread. Is this true? How true and in what respect? If true is this desirable? Was it ever true of any other country--that is, Great Britain? How would the truth of this proposition reflect the role of morality in foreign affairs? The role of Judeo-Christianity. Why would a true individualist even care? Etc. --Brant
