Hello, All! I'm a 42yr old from the east coast of Scotland, currently living in the north-east of England in a small country village near Newcastle. I discovered Ayn Rand while a Philosophy undergraduate at the University of Dundee; it was like having access to 'secret knowledge' so different were these ideas to the prevailing collectivist atmosphere of the faculty! Since then, I've made my own, solitary way as an Objectivist in the UK - I'm gratified to discover this online 'community' and to enjoy some company of those with like minds. I'm looking forward to making some new friends and perhaps even to meet that longed-for, highest-valued partner...

Hmmm... Ok, here goes... I have never posted a dating ad nor ever looked at a dating site but I've just discovered Objectivist Living and am thinking 'nothing ventured, nothing gained'... I'm 42, Scottish and live in the North-East of England. I read Philosophy at university and there discovered Ayn Rand ( read 'Atlas' almost without stopping in a veritable 'flurry' of excitement! ). I'm single but looking for Ms Right; however, I profoundly believe that one's partner must reflect one's highest values and trying to find an Objectivist female - or even similar - is like seeking a clichéd needle in a haystack ( especially in the UK where Objectivism is essentially unknown ).
