It's not NEARLY as easy as the ininformed "think" it is, especially while you are dodging blows, being shot at, trying to not hit the innocent, if you are already hurt, in bad light, etc. You can learn a very high percentage of what you need to know with the plastic ball AirSoft "guns", whose projectiles "sting" a bit when they hit you. Wear throat and face protecton. You can learn a lot with AS that you can never learn with live ammo, too, cause you can't shoot at each other with the lead projectiles! :-) Many, many shooters kid themselves about how they will do when it's "for real", because they fire only at stationary targets, without moving themselves, in good light, and with ear protection. Gunfire is EXTREMELY loud, and it WILL make you jerk the trigger, causing many misses of the torso, even at 6 ft and less of distance.
