I put this under humor because these people are so completely pitiful that they are hilarious. The amazing part to me is that they had control of the Congress for the last four (4) years!

If You Must Discuss Politics During the Turkey …

By Jess Bravin

For Democrats, the only thing worse than the shellacking the party suffered Nov. 2 might be the brickbats from relatives of the Republican persuasion during the traditional family congress on Thanksgiving Day.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee couldn’t hold the House on Election Day, but it hopes to do a better job keeping dinner-table critics at bay–and perhaps even laying the groundwork for some voter’s remorse.

In an email to the Democratic faithful Wednesday, DCCC Executive Director Jon Vogel envisioned relatives repeating “some ludicrous accusation about President Obama” in between “shouts of ‘please pass the mashed potatoes.’ ”

To combat such doubts, Mr. Vogel sent out a Thanksgiving cheat sheet listing “Democratic Accomplishments from 2009-2010.” The list includes the health overhaul passed in March, the economic-stimulus bill passed last year and a student-aid bill.

Republicans, as it happens, trumpeted their opposition to those very measures in their campaign, and they won more than 60 House seats from Democrats to capture a majority.

For Democrats, employing the cheat sheet could be another thankless exercise. If it fails to persuade, it means more triumphalism from “that Republican relative we all have,” in Mr. Vogel’s words.

But if the cheat sheet actually motivates the base, persuades the undecideds and depresses opposition turnout at the holiday table, it’s Republicans who will be thankful that Mr. Vogel’s talking points took effect three weeks too late.
