The Green $windle

We had a long discussion on OL about global warming a while back and a few sporadic ones since then. Several scandals have erupted around the global warming movement. Some, like the emails from core scientists saying that they were distorting the evidence to control public perception, would bury any scientific enterprise, yet these dudes are still around.

Once I figured out all the yelling was about nothing more than government grants, expanding government control and there was no solid science behind it, I lost interest.

Until Beck.

He gave a show a few weeks ago (and mentioned this a few times since) pointing to one of the biggest swindles in history in the making--all around global warming. I was surprised to see that raw greed was at the core. The scope of this swindle reminds me of a James Bond villain.

Now that Beck is off into his God and American history thing, I think he passed the ball on this issue to Hannity. If Hannity is going to assume the role of political bulldog that Beck had been doing with Acorn, Van Jones, etc., it now makes sense to me why he has not mentioned Beck's Restoring Honor rally.

Here are the videos of Hannity's show over the weekend, The Green $windle. Some of this presentation is already well-known and some of it I recognize from Beck's show (especially the stuff about Maurice Strong and Obama's connection to the Joyce Foundation and the Chicago Climate Exchange). And there are some things I didn't know. All in all, it is a pretty good overview of the movement going all the way from the beginning of Carson's Silent Spring and Ehrlich's Population Bomb on up to the current attempted trillions of dollars cap-and-trade redistribution-of-wealth swindle run by a clique of people, including Obama, Clinton and Gore.

I would say the show was put together pretty well.

Despite its image, Fox News has a number of commentators who are inclined to go easy on the environmental movement, such as Bill O'Reilly. They are actually coming late to the game. Still, the Hannity show is a significant contribution.
