Christopher
What are the questions we have not discussed that Objectivism can and should answer? What metaphysical, epistemological, ethical, economic, or interpersonal questions can Objectivism explore that haven't been treaded repeatedly by others through an Objectivist frame? I have gone back to the basics to see if I have any modifications.A philosophy of law and a philosophy of politics is sorely needed as far as I see.Adam
9thdoctor
What are the questions we have not discussed that Objectivism can and should answer? What metaphysical, epistemological, ethical, economic, or interpersonal questions can Objectivism explore that haven't been treaded repeatedly by others through an Objectivist frame?David Kelley talks about some in this lecture:http://www.objectivistliving.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8306&st=0&p=91683&fromsearch=1entry91683But I have one: how do you convince Munchkins to abandon their protective cartel system and start allowing lollipop imports? Beyond that and more generally, how can rational beings put up with Munchkins? Theyre just so damn annoying, I know I want to massacre them. <param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_CAs3q7G48&hl=en_US&fs=1&">PS Adam started with the Wizard of Oz references (another thread), this is his fault. psychoanaleesis
Right... I have this question and I tried searching Rand's lexicon for it but it is not quite connected (just merely mentions). Where do dreams or dreaming fall under Objectivism? What is its definition and does it hold some degree of importance as did other philosophies or systems placed on it?I gather that dreams are tied somehow to the subconscious and the details that falls below our conscious grasp to tackle clearly. However, how come our dreams often not connected to what has happened to us (at least not that we know of)?
