Folks:

This is beyond incompetence, or naivete. Since he brought back Plouffe, he has re- idealogued himself. Several of his inner group believe he is a transformative messianic figure. Gibbs for one. He must be stopped.

OBAMA FLASHBACK: DEMS SHOULD NOT PASS HEALTCARE WITH 50-PLUS-1...

'WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO HAVE A 60% MAJORITY IN SENATE AND HOUSE TO GET A BILL TO MY DESK'...

This excuse for a Presidential persona is, frankly, as dangerous as I thought.

Well we have crossed the Rubicon. My changes or comments are in red. The environmental green are the lies. Blue is a questionable statement.

THE WHITE HOUSE

Office of the Press Secretary

EMBARGOED FOR DELIVERY March 3, 2010

EMBARGOED: Remarks of President Barack Obama on Health Insurance Reform

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

Washington, DC

Please find below President Obama’s remark as prepared for delivery in the East

Room this afternoon. The remarks are embargoed for delivery:

"Good afternoon. We began our
push
putsch
to reform health insurance last March
with the doctors and nurses who know the system best
, and
so it is fitting to be joined by all of you
as we bring this journey to a close.

Last Thursday, I spent seven hours at
a summit
where Democrats and Republicans engaged in a public and
substantive discussion
about health care
.
This meeting capped off a debate
that
began with a similar summit nearly one year ago
.
Since then, every idea has been put on the table.

Every argument has been made. Everything there is to say about health care has been said and just about everyone has said it
. So
now is the time to make a decision
about how
to finally reform health care so that it works
, not just for the insurance companies, but for America’s families and businesses.

Where both sides say they agree is that the status quo is not working for the American people. Health insurance is becoming more expensive by the day.
Families can’t afford it
. Businesses can’t afford it.
The federal government can’t afford it
. Smaller businesses and individuals who don’t get coverage at work are squeezed especially hard. And
insurance companies freely ration health care based on who’s sick and who’s healthy; who can pay and who can’t.

Democrats and Republicans agree that this is a serious problem for America.

And we agree that if we do nothing – if we throw up our hands and walk away –
it’s a problem that will only grow worse
. More Americans will lose their family’s health insurance if they switch jobs or lose their job. More small businesses will be forced to choose between health care and hiring. More insurance companies will deny people coverage who have preexisting conditions, or drop people’s coverage when they get sick and need it most. And the rising cost of Medicare and Medicaid will sink our government deeper and deeper into debt.
On all of this we agree
.

So the question is, what do we do about it?"

The rest is even worse! Lot's more green.

It is hard to understand politically since pushing this thing has already produced a reaction (in Mass.) that has clearly indicates that has used his political capital to the breaking point on health care. Of course the elephant in the room is that the more medicare and medicaid spending goes up the higher health care costs goes up, and of course insurance. Touching those programs is regarded as a 'third rail'...touch it and your dead (politically). Very strange...you can't spend more without producing a reaction like the election of a republican in the seat Kennedy occupied..and you can't make cuts or eliminate the program. Obviously something has to give.

David:

You keep, like many, thinking that the goal here is to achieve health care reform. Or that the goal of these elected marxists are to stay in power.

The dirty little secret is that if they get this, it will be virtually impossible to reverse. There will be virtually no way to override obiwan the diminished's veto of any rescission legislation.

By the time 2012 rolls around, there will be more regulations in the health care industry. It will make the EPA, IRS and Dept. of Education look like libertarian strongholds of freedom.

Clearly, this is what President Obama and his top allies are after.

Otherwise, why the final push to enact legislation that a significant majority of the public obviously wants nothing to do with?

They are going for all the marbles, but I think that for quite some time now they've been mostly spreading FUD. That's because I still don't know where they think they're going to get the votes in the House of Representatives for their current scheme. All it takes to sink the thing are enough Democrats who are either disgusted with some aspect of it or aren't interested in walking the plank and getting voted out of office in November.

It's not as though every last Democrat in Congress shares the Obama-Reid-Pelosi agenda.

Public option: redistribution of productive citizens' taxes. Ergo, immoral because it infringes on the right to privately initiated production.

Iraq war in 2003=distribution of soldiers to overthrow theocracy that was [<]x1,000,000 threatening to us than Iran=unnecessary death of American soldiers. Ergo, immoral because it infringes on the right to exist as a breathing organism.

Iraq war in 2003-2010: redistribution of egoistic military strategy from using full resources to decimate Hussein's army and the later insurgents, the latter being less a threat than Iran (but a threat nonetheless) in favor of protecting non-combatant Iraqi's=planned death of American soldiers. See: Altruism. Euphemism: Compassionate Conservatism in the international arena. Ergo, immoral because it infringes on the right to exist as a breathing organism.

I wonder who came up with THAT idea. . . <_<<_<

I guess the same person who taught you non sequiturs?

But the prices of peaches in Tangiers would bear on all of this stuff we were discussing.

Obama Now Selling Judgeships for Health Care Votes?

Obama names brother of undecided House Dem to Appeals Court.

BY John McCormack

March 3, 2010 6:15 PM Tonight, Barack Obama will host ten House Democrats who voted against the health care bill in November at the White House; he's obviously trying to persuade them to switch their votes to yes. One of the ten is Jim Matheson of Utah. The White House just sent out a press release announcing that today President Obama nominated Matheson's brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Adam,

The President and his cronies are trying, all right. This is like the offer they dangled in front of Joe Sestak, if he'd agree not to run against Snarlin' Arlen in the primary.

But Bart Stupak sounded pretty emphatic on Fox News about his unwillingness to vote for the Senate bill.

It's going to get completely crazy before it's all over.

It can be reversed for the program, save for the taxes, isn't implemented for several years. The voters will feel real pain before the supposed benefits kick in. In fact if this is jammed through Congress the Dems will fare even worse in November than if they just let it die.
