I have not looked up a list of Glenn's recent topics, but here are a few of Rush's.

Preaching to the choir. Do you imagine that liberals listen to this and change their minds?

Same with Glenn Beck and Oprah Winfrey, and Jay Leno and Rosie O'Donnell on The View and Survivor and Lost and Miley Cyrus on the Disney Channel to say nothing of Frazier, Home Improvement and The Jeffersons...

It is all entertainment for people who know what to expect. In Japan, they have a mode called Noh Theater, where the live audience reaction is as canned as the plays. That is what we have here: Politics as Noh Theater.

Yes, let's stay isolated and let's find fault with everyone except a "REAL" Objectivist or a "REAL" Libertarian.

Let us purify everyone in our furnace of freedom. Only those who ...

Well, the question was what is the appeal of Glenn Beck to Objectivists. We can be narrow. It's OK.

I think that equivalent questions might be asked about Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens on atheism, for example.

We have these discussions about the movie Avatar and about our favorite TV shows and books and plays and music and of course canvas paintings.

We, who are people of the mind, too often expect that everyone is "like us" on the inside, and that is not the case. Not all featherless bipeds are rational animals.

You know, during the Renaissance, it wasn't like everyone went around spouting humanism. Age of Reason... Enlightenment... Information Age,,, the people who make it are specialists -- and are specially attributed.

I read about a performer (sorry, don't remember) who got their start playing in lesbian coffeehouses. And I thought, how many of those can there be in America? ... Anyway, I'm not much for socializing, but if I had to spend an hour with a crowd, I'd rather be in a lesbian coffeeehouse than among Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck listeners.
