jordanz
Yes, but you can't "see" a photon itself, you use it to manufacture images in your cortex. The photon is an inferred entity. You are stealing the concept of sight. The image in your cortext is what it means to see.

tjohnson
The image in your cortext is what it means to see.I agree, and you can't form an image (see) of a photon in your cortex except by imagining it maybe.
BaalChatzaf
When was the last time you saw directly, with your own eyes and without instrumental mediation infra red or ultravioletI didn't say our sense are perfect nor did I imply that our sense can perceive everything. But, what they do sense, they sense directly. And what do we see where we use instruments? Images on a screen or dials or oscilloscope wiggles or print-outs. All of which are cues and clues to what is happening Out There. Think of a radar operator detecting incoming airplanes. Does he see airplanes? He does not. He sees green dots on a screen which he interprets as airplanes inbound. With ECM one cannot be 100 percent sure that the dots even correspond to inbound planes and missiles. And with Stealth one cannot necessary even get a radar blip of an inbound plane. Ba'al Chatzaf
