davidngo
Hello fellow Objectivists!I've long been a fan of Objectivism and Ayn Rand. Recently, I noticed there isn't a lot of good apparel or relatively inexpensive posters for Objectivists. Being a designer by trade, I decided to start creating some of my own.I make them mostly for me, but if you guys also like them, I'd appreciate the financial support. Mostly I just want to bring a more modern aesthetic to Objectivism, so we can all look good while sporting our philosophy and appreciate inspiring Objectivist artwork, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.Enjoy!http://www.zazzle.com/davidngo4415John Galt's Oath t-shirt: http://tinyurl.com/coj5ysInspirational Objectivist poster: http://tinyurl.com/de8kx2

Chris Grieb
The poster looks good! The "oath" t-shirts are hard to read.
syrakusos
The poster looks good! The "oath" t-shirts are hard to read.I think an Aesop's Fable applies here because I found the "Oath" t-shirts clever and well-designed, but I do not undertand the poster. Is he twirling the sun or painting it on the sky? I prefer 100% cotton, even though it shrinks. We all wear our clothes loose and large these days, so a little shrinkage is not a problem. The artist offered a product; and you can buy it or not. Money talks. Edited April 10, 2009 by Michael E. Selene
davidngo:Nice job on both. The oath is eye catching, but unless the individual gets engaged at close range for probably 5 minutes, they will not "connect the dots". However, it would also allow you room to weave it into your conversation with the person. So since attention MUST be obtained before you can teach, persuade, motivate, etc. - A+.The difficulty I have with the image of the oath coming from a linear linguistic learning path is to sequentially follow the words - and I know it by heart! lolNow that may be because I a seasoned citizen, but have you attempted to keep the same textural arrangement and angle the words better or stretch it as a rectangle or triangle which might work well.Good job though. I really like the poster.Adam
Reidy
I think of it as a niche product, not addressed to anyone who sees the wearer as most such designs are, but to those who will stop, take a look and converse. On a man, that is. I'll never forget Bette Midler's demonstration of what happend to the smile when she put on her Mona Lisa t-shirt.
Selene
Agreed.I just would like to keep your black white geometry and put it "in" a different geometry. Just a random thought.Adam
SherryTX
I like the shirts, but err, being a lady, I am thinking they would be very hard to read. Are you going to design one with that on the back of the shirt as an option?Lots of times I see a cool t-shirt that I don't buy because given the placement of the design, it is hard to read, or people end up kinda staring trying to read it...staring for the wrong reason hahah.
