Imagine that.Ba'al ChatzafEvery child born in that country faces a kind of indoctrination, as does virtually every child born anywhere. Fortunate are those children who are not indoctrinated but are encouraged to think for themselves. Still they must be careful in cultures where such independence of belief is seen as heretical. By referring to "the Iranians who are the latter day successors to the Persians" one should be careful not to lump them all together. Imagine the nightmare of living there and not subscribing to the dogma which prevails. At least in this country a child who comes to think for himself or herself may end up angering his or her parents and siblings but is ultimately free to live his or her own life.I have met an Iranian who told me that he would go out into the street to hold up his fist with everyone else and chant until the domonstration was over, and then go on about his business. I just checked on the Campaign For Liberty site and there are actually two members who live in Tehran. See.There are five in Mexico and seven in France! One in Bolivia and two in Columbia! Twenty four in Netherlands and one in Venezuela. 49 in Germany and five in Russia including one from Ayn Rand's hometown of St. Petersburg, four in Israel and 8 in New Zealand. All over the world. Gotta start somewhere!www.campaignforliberty.com 2Mar 10AM 105349, noon 105370,gulch Edited March 2, 2009 by galtgulch
Chris Grieb
I think a message telling the Iranians that they can commit an unnatural act would be appropriate.

When Obama promised that he would have a different administration marked by transparency and then proceeded to ram through an enormously expensive spending bill without allowing time for it to be reviewed or discussed and demanding that it be voted on the next morning, he essentially succeeded in simultaneously screwing 300 million people while we were not looking, which certainly qualifies as being anatomically difficult. One hopes that the consequence will be that those who voted for this charlatan will wonder now that their eyes have been opened.www.campaignforliberty.com 2Mar 2PM 105389, 4PM 105407; 3Mar 10PM 105606gulch Edited March 4, 2009 by galtgulch
Barbara Branden
I think the words of that great philosopher Woody Allen are an appropriate answer to the Iranians. Explaining that he had had a very angry argument with someone, Woody concluded. "And I said to him, 'Go forth and multiply'. . . but not in those words."Barbara
Selene
Barbara:Now that would be really "anatomically difficult"!Actually, I have been doing some scenario planning with my political folks and friends, many current military/intelligence and a lot of ex mil/intel.We are rapidly coming to a consensus that nothing would solidify power better than a "Reichstag moment".However, this would have to be foreign terrorist based, with operational assets that are American Muslim [mercenaries]. We believe it would have to be big and bloody.Americans would be more than willing to get on board a strong central American State that would guarantee them safety, security and sacrifice for the good of all.I believe it was Marx who stated that socialism was an interim state and the beginning of the transformation to the communists state.Yes, I believe there are folks that surround him or that he himself is capable of just that goal.Paranoid - possibly, but did anyone even postulate that he would be moving this fast?Adam
