It behind the Twilight series and the three Obama books. I must add that it is one of the few books on the list that is over fifty years old.

Could it have something to do with the stock market and new administration?

Kat; You have friends you haven't

given it to. I must add that I agree with your explanation for the book's current success. I have a feeling that in a sense Obama may be very good for Rand and Objectivism. He may not be as good for the country.

A check today shows Atlas at 66 on the Amazon best seller list. It was reported by Stephan Hicks that the top 400 titles is 1 % of the books that Amazon sells. So being in the top one hundred means any book in the one hundred is in the top .25%.

Atlas is at 100 on Amazon best seller list. The book "How to Win Friends and Influence People" is higher and has been out longer but Atlas is the oldest novel.

It is worth noting that "The Forgotten Man" is also on the list. I wish Obama would read both books.

Adam; I must confess I haven't although I had heard of Alinsky before Obama came on the scene.

In at least one of my postings here I referred to Obama as Saul Ailinsky's spiritual grandson. The worst possible combination: The (old) Mayor Daley corruption and thuggery conjoined with Ailinsky's toxic left wing agenda. Vey ist mehr!

If you want to see how they do it in Springfield just look at the recent impeachment and removal of Blago. The boys in the Illinois legislature pushed him under a bus, Chicago Style.

Ba'al:

Yes you did and I read this asshole while we were in the bowels of Columbia holding our anarchist conferences in the early 70's.

Pure unadulterated evil.
