Hudgins to Speak at Objectivist Meeting in San Francisco

Edward Hudgins, the executive director of The Objectivist Center and The Atlas Society, will be speaking at a meeting of Silicon Valley and San Francisco area Objectivists. If you're in the area on May 4th you're welcomed to attend. Here are the details:

Hudgins' topic: "Living by Principle in an Unprincipled World"

Host: Steve Nahm, sxn@ieee.org (for info or RSVP)

Location: Schroeder's Cafe, 240 Front St, San Francisco, CA.

When: Thursday, May 4, 7:00pm, phone: (415) 421-4778.

In her 1962 essay in response to a reader's question, Ayn Rand stated that "An irrational society is a society of moral cowards--of men paralyzed by the loss of moral standards, principles and goals." Does this describe our world today? Does this describe the people you deal with every day? Objectivists strive to live by principle, but this can be difficult when we are confronted by pragmatists and compromisers. How are we to stay true to our values when dodging such as these?

Please join us on Thursday, May 4th to spend an evening with the Executive Director of The Objectivist Center, Edward L. Hudgins. We will enjoy dinner at Schroeder's Cafe, located next to Embarcadero Center in San Francisco, and then enjoy a talk by Edward Hudgins on "Living by Principle in an Unprincipled World".

Guests may arrive at 7pm, and we expect to begin dinner at 7:30pm. The talk will start no later than 8:30pm.
