The Smithsonian Promotes Pure Toxic Racism

You have to see this to believe it. It's almost out of an Ayn Rand novel.

At least this boneheaded spiteful chapter in The Smithsonian is getting bashed by lots and lots of people.

Here's an article that gives an overview:

Byron York's Daily Memo: 'Whiteness' and the National Museum of African American History and Culture

Quote

The museum, located on Constitution Avenue in Washington, is the newest -- opened 2016 -- and one of the most successful in the Smithsonian system.

It has a lot of money -- $33 million in federal government funding in fiscal 2019. It receives tens of millions more from some of the biggest names in American business and philanthropy: the Lilly Endowment, the Oprah Winfrey Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, American Express, Bank of America, 3M, Boeing, Michael Jordan, Kaiser Permanente, the Rockefeller Foundation, Target, UnitedHealth, Walmart, and many more.

Some of the museum's most popular exhibits include the Emancipation Proclamation, a passenger railroad car from the segregation era, an Emmett Till memorial, show business artifacts like Chuck Berry's Cadillac and Oprah Winfrey's set, and much more.

It is perhaps less well known, but the Museum also seeks to educate the public on "whiteness." Its website features a long section on "whiteness," including a video by Robin DiAngelo, author of the bestseller White Fragility. It also features a chart, "Aspects & Assumptions of Whiteness & White Culture in the United States.”

The chart mentioned in the last paragraph is the cause of the storm.

Before I show it, The Smithsonian's site took it down. Here is the webpage where it used to be.

Whiteness

Quote

... we recently unveiled “Talking About Race,” an online portal providing research, studies, and other academic materials from the fields of history, education, psychology, and human development. Our goal in doing so was to contribute to a discussion on this vitally important subject that millions of Americans are grappling with.

Since yesterday, certain content in the “Talking About Race” portal has been the subject of questions that we have taken seriously. We have listened to public sentiment and have removed a chart that does not contribute to the productive discussion we had intended.

Now here is the chart they took down.

There is only one way to respond to trash like that. And Charlie Kirk did it, much to the surprise of Shannon Bream, who was trying to do her Trojan Horse gig of treating garbage as the equivalent of facts, but having a real hard time selling this particular pile of shit.

Charlie outright called Leslie Marshall a racist in a tone of deep anger for defending it.

Quote

Well look, Leslie. I have to be honest. I always considered [you] to be very reasonable. Not anymore after what you just said. I mean, for you to try to say that what is being presented here should be attributed to any sort of racial group is incredibly racist.

[crosstalk]

... if we even entertain this incredibly pernicious idea that hard work, the family, the scientific method, going to church, and doing the right thing is an attribute of a skin color, then you are the racist. Okay? You're the one that is trying to advance racial division.

I believe in the American ethos, E Pluribus Unum, out of many one. I don't think this is a white attribute or a black attribute. I think this is a human being success flourishing attribute. I cannot believe that someone would defend something like this.

Leslie, poor thing, is used to calling conservatives racist. She's not used to the racist label landing on her face like a pie. And it showed.

I think the bullshit was too much even for Shannon. She wanted to sell sell the party line in a way that advances the Overton Window like she is paid to do, but this was too much. So she did the best she could at pretending pure toxic racism was a reasonable argument that should be examined in a "fair and balanced" way. But her heart wasn't in it. She just wanted it to be over.

She allowed Leslie to bark back at Charlie, but Leslie sounded condescending and infantile and weirdly insecure. Shannon looked so relieved when it ended.

Shannon should take a lesson from Charlie. The way Charlie did it is the only way to do it.

Call evil evil.

That Smithsonian poster could have easily been part of the text of "Why Do You Think You Think?" in Atlas Shrugged.

Jules,

Good Lord!

First Janet, now this...

Here.

I might as well post this one to you. I was going to make a separate post, but I think you will appreciate this as much as anyone.

‘Sexist’ Body Parts Rejected by Doctors: Adam’s Apple and Achilles’ Tendon Deemed ‘Irrelevant and Misogynistic’

This is feminism only right now. These idiots are angry because body parts were named after men. But don't worry. They'll work white men into it eventually.

The "whiteness" and anti-White propaganda is everywhere.  Thousands of articles from the Washington Post, NYT, etc.  Almost twenty thousand "White" statues destroyed or taken down throughout US, too.  And if you disagree with any of it you are deemed racist and "White Supremacist".

We would be much worse by now had Trump not won the election in 2016.  Hillary had plans to open the floodgates of immigration to the US by 550%. Trump has nowhere near stopped it, but has slowed it down dramatically.

Racism us the tool of communists.  They do the same thing in the end of every country they take down.  First they come for the statues--then they come for us.

I wonder if Italy will get the PC virus and take down  all the statues of past emperors?

The Goths did that when they toppled Rome.  Then the Italians rose up again with their Catholic Church and their popery.  Now instead of worshipping a god-emperor they just worship the god.... and the mafia.  To hell with the emperor.  The statues of the emperors were are there now just for history and nostalgia, though the Islamic invaders have destroyed many statues, weddings, celebrations, and many other things Italian.  Lol.  Here they go again...

More food food for thought on the sordid matter...

And speak of the devil, the legendary BPS speaks out on #CancelWhitePeople culture and nails it beautifully.

From Proud American Traveler. These trying times have nudged many Americans to seek solace and refuge among nature – one of the only places you’re not harassed about wearing a mask. However, competing in the media right now is COVID-19 and the racial tensions since the death of George Floyd. But the media has taken it one step further by making everything a matter of race – in fact, even our national parks are racist.

That’s right.

Left-wing news outlet ABC is now promoting America’s national parks as being a product of systemic racism. How can an area of earth with no man-made constructs be a racist entity? Well, according to ABC News, the nation’s 419 national parks “remain overwhelmingly white” due to the number of white visitors compared to those of color. It seems that uninhabited land has the power to lure whichever race it prefers, causing an outrage among minorities who feel the parks are not “safe enough to experience it,” as mother Lauren Gay, who chronicles her experiences as a woman of color on her blog and podcast “Outdoorsy Diva,” claims. Bears may be a safety concern, but only because they don’t discriminate.

Joel Pannell, associate director of the Sierra Club, an organization hoping to encourage diversity in natural spaces, explained to ABC News, “The outdoors and public lands suffer from the same systemic racism that the rest of our society does.” David Vela, acting director of the National Park Service – and the first Latino to lead the agency – said in response to the data, “That tells me we’ve got a lot of work to do.” However, plenty of taxpayer money has gone into the attempts to diversify our national parks by marketing to non-white communities, training staff on racial sensitivity, and purposefully hiring rangers from non-white backgrounds, according to ABC News.

Still, these efforts have made only minimal improvements in bringing people of color into national parks. Could it be that national parks have nothing to do with systemic racism and more to do with interest and proximity? Fox News host Tucker Carlson couldn’t believe the leap ABC News and their liberal followers made. “ABC, we learn, doesn’t like the color of the people who live near national parks or who visit them. So wait, who is the racist here?”

Carlson also said the acting director of the National Park Service should be fired for believing that the “persistent whiteness” of national parks is an “existential crisis.” The media has now officially made everything about race, even when it is obvious there is no racism present. Parks are national treasures open to the public to enjoy God’s creation, unload some stress, and get a breath of fresh air – they are not places for politics!

If you want to find something to be upset about bad enough, you’ll find it whether it’s Bigfoot or systemic racism. But rest assured, you can check out Yellowstone, Redwood State Park, or Denali National Park without finding either.
