Deep State Unraveling

Well, well, well...

Things are getting real and real uncomfortable for the Deep State bullies.

From Breitbart (Joshua Caplan reporting):

Report: DOJ Review of Russia Probe Origins Is Now Criminal Investigation

Quote

The Department of Justice’s sweeping review into the origins of its Trump-Russia probe has evolved into a criminal investigation, according to the New York Times.

The launch of a criminal probe allows U.S. Attorney John Durham, the prosecutor tapped by Attorney General William Barr to lead the review, to subpoena witnesses for testimony and documents. The move also authorizes Durham to impanel a grand jury and file charges.

“If true, this shows Bill Barr is doing EXACTLY his job: following the facts Those who damaged America and broke the law to spread this hoax are about to face accountability,” Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) tweeted in response to the Times’ report.

The development comes after an NBC report revealed Barr recently expanded his agency’s review, noting that Durham has “found something significant and critics should be careful.”

Do you know why I led with Breitbart's report and not the NYT's?

Spin.

Look at the garbage NYT headline below trying to make the Justice Department look like it doesn't know what it is doing.

From the NYT via MSN (Katie Benner and Adam Goldman reporting):

Justice Dept. Is Said to Open Criminal Inquiry Into Its Own Russia Investigation

The article isn't much better in terms of spin. And there's this. Even though I'm happy about this news, the NYT sources continue to be drawn from their bottomless Anonymous Pool, in this case "two people familiar with the matter."

There are some hard facts about Durham moving his investigation to criminal status. But they are layered in between a mountain of garbage. Here are a few excerpts:

Quote

The opening of a criminal investigation is likely to raise alarms that Mr. Trump is using the Justice Department to go after his perceived enemies.

. . .

Mr. Trump has made clear that he sees the typically independent Justice Department as a tool to be wielded against his political enemies. That view factors into the impeachment investigation against him, as does his long obsession with the origins of the Russia inquiry.

. . .

The move also creates an unusual situation in which the Justice Department is conducting a criminal investigation into itself.

Mr. Barr’s reliance on Mr. Durham, a widely respected and veteran prosecutor who has investigated C.I.A. torture and broken up Mafia rings, could help insulate the attorney general from accusations that he is doing the president’s bidding and putting politics above justice.

It was not clear what potential crime Mr. Durham is investigating, nor when the criminal investigation was prompted.

. . .

Mr. Durham’s efforts have prompted criticism that he and Mr. Barr are trying to deliver the president a political victory...

But no amount of spin can blank the "criminal investigation" part out of existence.

For those who think like I do, here's some fun.

Look at the bullies below as they sputter and stutter in between a bit too zealous "grasping at straws" moments.

There's still a long road to travel, but this is one of those moments to stop and savor.

Comeuppance is coming for the bad guys and they are starting to sweat.

It's about time. Where is the real conspiracy? Clapper seemed the most discombobulated. "I only read about ME being one of those being investigated 20 minutes ago!" The investigation is valid. Who starts all these bogus investigations of President Trump? Is that a conspiracy of dunces? Hell yes. Are they trying to destroy a President's agenda and falsely win the next election? Hell yes. Have they committed crimes? I think so. Collusion, collusion, collusion. Maybe they can drag in weepy, worried Anderson Cooper too.  Peter

I must have missed that story. His brother committed hari kari? And they are from a rich, progressive household? What could go wrong? I was reading about Kirk Douglas's son in People Magazine. He was a big drug dealer selling coke and meth, and ended up serving seven years in jail, but it shows him hugging his Dad who says, "I thought I had lost him." We are Spartacus!

For those who like the weeds, let's see if this  causes another seismic shift in the Deep State's heartburn.

Sidney Powell Drops Bombshell Showing How The FBI Trapped Michael Flynn

In short, the FBI deceptively manipulated the records of Flynn's 2017 interview in order to unfairly convict him.

President Trump has weighed in.

... and this...

I bet Michael Flynn is going to become one rich man.

I am pretty sure the CNN video in the tweet is from October 7, but the rest of the tweet is priceless,

:)

Michael

EDIT: The reason I believe the video is from October 7 is the URL at CNN:

http s:// www. cnn.com/videos/politics/2019/10/07/james-clapper-intelligence-community-russia-nr-vpx.cnn

I put in a couple of spaces in the URL to keep the forum program from automatically inserting a hyperlink. But notice the date in the URL: /2019/10/07/

Because of Taibbi's tweet, though, and the fact that there is no date on the CNN page, lots of dorks are now tweeting and retweeting this video as if it were today.

This whole mess could end up being very beneficial to truth, justice,  and The American Way. It is a pain for President Trump but I think he may be grinning and chortling in front of the cameras and behind closed doors at the present time or the near future. "Those idiots! They've indicted themselves and I will press all the buttons I can to get those lawbreakers behind bars!?   Peter

This is about as ugly as it gets for the Deep State and the impeachment scam.

'Coup Has Started': Whistleblower's Attorney Vowed To 'Get Rid Of Trump' In 2017

President Trump had a field day with this in his Louisiana rally just now.

Man, are these Deep State traitors going to go down with a giant thud.

And they will take many establishment ruling class anti-Trumpers with them.

Will this unravel the deep state even more? Bloomberg (pronounced Bah-loon-burg) is going to step into the ring. Hmmm? Former Trump supporters who no longer like El Presidente will vote for him? Democrats who don’t like their socialist candidate will vote for him? Libertarians will vote for him? “I like Ike,” was an old slogan. What will his slogan be? Put on your Bloomers you pervert? Sound a-likes? Loom boom doom tomb room womb. Berg. Does anything rhyme with Berg? How about a StarTrek species called The Berg? Seven of Nine? Shake it for species 1234, The Berg.   Welcome Michael Bloomberg!

The left and crony ruling class elitists are serving up John Brennan as the fall guy for what's coming, but I believe it's too late. Still, it's interesting to see how they work.

Look at this recent article (Nov. 15) from Real Clear Investigations:

The Brennan Dossier: All About a Prime Mover of Russiagate

Now, Real Clear Investigations is known as a more-or-less objective place. But the article's author, Aaron Maté, is about as left and as insider as they come. He cut his teeth at places like Democracy Now, Vice, Al Jazeera (he's Jewish, but a big supporter of Palestine and hater of Israel), The Nation, etc.

The gist of the article, which is fairly well sourced, is that, yeah yeah yeah, some of Obama's folk, maybe even he himself, got a little overzealous about Trump, but when you dig, all roads lead back to Brennan. John Brennan did it. Crucify him!

I said the article was well-sourced. Actually, it rehashes a lot of material straight-no-chaser out of The Plot Against the President: The True Story of How Congressman Devin Nunes Uncovered the Biggest Political Scandal in U.S. History by Lee Smith. I know this because I just read that book (which, incidentally, is the best one out there on the Deep State/President Trump affair).

Granted, Maté mentioned this book in his article, but he did that in passing. He actually cribbed a crapload from it--except he slanted it to say Brennan and Brennan only was the bad guy (which is probably why he didn't reference it well).

This tells me the powers that be are going to turn John Brennan into a boi de piranha. That means a "piranha cow" in Brazil. Whenever cow rustlers drive cattle to a river up north (in Brazil) that is infested with piranhas, they take an old or sick steer, make it bleed (sometimes killing it, sometimes not) and get it into the river upstream. The piranhas have a feeding frenzy. All that blood and meat! Then the cow rustlers drive the herd across the river downstream. That way the scent of the herd does not reach the piranhas, who are all as busy as can be, as the cattle cross.

I think John Brennan knows what's coming to him, too. He's been getting real nasty these days.

With President Trump's law enforcement team, the boi de piranha ploy will not work at protecting the rest of the Deep State (they are all going down), but watching Brennan be devoured by his own wicked elitist crony machine will be entertaining.

Here is Bill Maher telling people, "Let's all get along this Thanksgiving."

However, here's the rub.

Maher emphasized that at Trump rallies, Trump supporters talk about locking up their political opponents.

That's misleading. MAGA people don't want to lock up political opponents in general. They do want to lock criminals up, especially criminals (like Hillary Clinton) who abused their power when in office by using top law enforcement as a secret police against their political enemies. And these criminals have manipulated the justice system to literally lock up political opponents they don't like on "process crimes" during investigations of crimes that never existed or crimes they themselves also did. The most recent is Roger Stone.

To see Maher all brotherly and shit right now tells me something. He's afraid. He knows what's coming. And he knows it ain't going to be pretty this time around for his side.

To me, this is a good sign.

When Maher's on the winning side, he's never brotherly. In fact, he likes it when his political opponents go to jail.

The term phony baloney keeps coming to mind...

I want to expand on this point. It's important because this is the bedrock on which the Deep State's existence is tolerated in public discourse, seeing that lefties and ruling class crony corporatism elitists own most of the fake news mainstream media.

Here is what the progressives really think of their political opponents in unvarnished terms, specifically Donna Brazile on Roger Stone.

The Breitbart article:

Donna Brazile Launches Expletive-Ridden Rant Against Roger Stone: ‘Go to F*cking Jail — Hope he Roasts in Hell’

You have to see it to feel it. Brazile means what she says and has no shame in her own wrongdoing.

To bring my point home, look here on SNL.

Go to 1:39. Michael Che is trying to be funny, but there's too much truth in what he is saying about the way the Dems think for it to be funny. I think he let down his guard a little too much for the comfort of his audience.

Quote

That impeachment hearing was crazy. I was watching it at home like we were supposed to and I was like, "Whaaaat?"

I didn't watch it, per se. I got the gist of it just now when you was talking about it.

Can I be honest?

I don't think I care if Donald Trump is actually guilty. I just want something to happen to him.

OK. Hypothetically, if you found out for a fact that Donald Trump was actually innocent, but they were sending him to jail anyway... Would you mind?

See? I wouldn't mind.

Is that fair?

I'll watch it next time.

Humor aside (since the humor was not there to negate Che's proposition), this is what Trump supporters are up against.

This is what people who support the Constitution as written are up against.

This is what anyone who is not a ruling class elitist is up against.

So when it's time for the elitist libtards who shat all over the country with their treasonous coup and abuse of power start going to jail from the law enforcement reports and investigations that will soon be released, I will feel no pity for them. Like Bill Maher above, they only get civil when they are the ones going down. Then it's all peace and love. When they are calling the shots and you go down, they are without mercy. What's more, they spit on you when you fall. Hell, they spit on you when you just go about living your life.

Their hatred of people like you and me is real. And they will act on it if and when they can.

Michael

I thought it was really funny when Donna Tweeted her belief back in January that their Trump/Pence assassination ploy was going to work and Nancy was going to return to the country from her trip (in Royal purple) as President. Oh, Donna. And now she is so very bitter because she knows she will be subjected to tribunal and hanged if she doesn’t kill herself soon.

It doesn’t look like Rand ever “softened” to Ronald Reagan, which I don’t get. Well anyway, I couldn’t find much she said, that was good about Reagan. When Reagan said he wanted to ban abortions he lost Ayn Rand.

And as I was I was thinking about Reagan vs Trump politically, I found these Reagan quotes.  All of the following quotes are from President Ronald Reagan.

“Life is one grand, sweet song, so start the music.” “I know it's hard when you're up to your armpits in alligators to remember you came here to drain the swamp. (February 10, 1982)” “These young Americans sent a message to terrorists everywhere. . . . You can run but you can't hide.”

“Some people wonder all their lives if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem.” “One way to make sure crime doesn't pay would be to let the government run it.” “Government always finds a need for whatever money it gets.” “I know in my heart that man is good. That what is right will always eventually triumph. And there's purpose and worth to each and every life.” “We don't have a trillion-dollar debt because we haven't taxed enough; we have a trillion-dollar debt because we spend too much” “The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.”

“Democracy is worth dying for, because it's the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man.” “Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.” “Today, if you invent a better mousetrap, the government comes along with a better mouse.”

“Man is not free unless government is limited.” “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction” “Heroes may not be braver than anyone else. They're just braver five minutes longer.” “They say hard work never hurt anybody, but I figure why take the chance?”

“Before I refuse to take your questions, I have an opening statement.” “We need you, we need your youth, your strength, and your idealism, to help us make right what is wrong.” “Each generation goes further than the generation preceding it because it stands on the shoulders of that generation. You will have opportunities beyond anything we've ever known.” “Let us be sure that those who come after will say of us in our time, that in our time we did everything that could be done. We finished the race; we kept them free; we kept the faith.” “Peace is not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means.” “When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat.” “To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last -- but eat you he will.” “There are no easy answers' but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right.”  “There are no such things as limits to growth, because there are no limits to the human capacity for intelligence, imagination, and wonder” “There are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human spirit, no barriers to our progress except those we ourselves erect.”

I was cogitating Rand’s lack of support for President Reagan.

Ayn Rand wrote: “Rights, do not pertain to a potential, only to an actual being. A child cannot acquire any rights until it is born.” end quote

And Leonard Peikoff wrote: “If anti-abortionists object that an embryo has the genetic equipment of a human being, remember: so does every cell in the human body . . . Abortions are private affairs and often involve painfully difficult decisions with life-long consequences. But, tragically, the lives of the parents are completely ignored by the anti-abortionists. Yet that is the essential issue. In any conflict it’s the actual, living persons who count, not the mere potential of the embryo. end quote

Yet Peikoff, in The Huffington Post article from 2013, was speaking ONLY about the first trimester. I wonder if he or Rand would change their minds about the baby after it begins thinking, around the 26th to 28th week of gestation? Science has known about the “thinking in the womb” for many years but Ayn Rand may not have known.  Would Leonard still call the young entity around the 28th week a “mere potential” or a baby? Doctors don’t trash them. They call it a baby. They put them into incubators. Is that wrong? Peter

Peter,

I don't like to play the game of "what Rand really meant," but in this case, I have a suspicion.

I think Rand saw whiffs of politicians like Herbert Hoover and Wendell Wilkie in Ronald Reagan and it creeped her out. These were not true free market folks, but instead Chamber of Commerce crony corporatists.

Rather than argue that, though, she tacked on that line about abortion, claimed Reagan was anti-freedom because he wanted to enslave pregnant women, and defined an embryo as not a human being, but instead a piece of human protoplasm.

I think she believed the crony charge against Reagan would not have made a difference to her followers, but labeling him as a slave-master might. When we look at O-Land fundies, if that was her idea, she had a point. At least she got them to think that way.

To me, this was not her finest hour. I don't mind her trashing Reagan (he had his defects), but that particular abortion reason was a stretch.

Talk about argument by non-essentials (which she framed as argument by essentials).

The essential is not protecting the freedom of the mother while destroying the life of the unborn, but instead the definition of a human being. And her definition does not include the embryonic stage, which is debatable. I never have been able to square that circle with her. To me, living beings have stages of life that are determined by biology, not by ideology.

She was worn out. She'd had enough of politics and current events. But she wasn't going to let a conservative bollix up her moral and intellectual life at the end of her life so Reagan got body slammed by her.
