What is it about progressives and potted plants?

It seems like they have the weirdest uses for them.

For example, remember the Harvey Weinstein case? At a party, he cornered a woman, but could not get her to agree to do whatever with him. So with the crowd swirling around, he masturbated right there in front of her and ejaculated into a potted plant.

Now we have this.

This article is by a dude who is on board with manmade climate change. But praying to plants seems to leave him confused. Not because these confessions by human beings of climate sins against the plants, requests for forgiveness from the plants, and other emotional prayer messages to the plants were made in group and spoken out loud. It's because they were praying to the plants for the wrong thing. They needed to pray for the right thing. To quote:

What the hell is wrong with progressives?

Just look at how they misunderstand the nature of potted plants. 

Progressives don't get potted plants at all.
