Apparently not, though. Not when Trump went to RMS and can pay his bills and you went to SSHS and cannot pay yours. It would appear that you went to the possibly superior school and yet “didn’t learn much there.”

Where do you work that they value your contribution so little?

What do they say when you point out that you are worth much more?

Have you told them where you went to school?

Here’s where I went to school, Carol ...

Go. Fuck. Your. Self.

Again, just slightly inaccurate. Over and over (twice) I did ask you out of curiosity about your education (not over and over and over, thrice). Twice you have indicated that this is a sore subject with you, so I can take hint/ Formal education is no big deal anyway. The Longshoreman Philosopher is my hero, actually.

My union decided I was worth $44.76 per hour.  They knew where I went to school (University of Toronto).  I think the wage is fair for my work.

How about you? I hope your employers value you for what you are worth. Do they take your education into consideration? It was a condition of employment for my job.

“Out of curiousity” my ass. They were snide put-downs, just like above. We were talking about Trump and you did it again. Curiousity. Do you really think anyone is fooled by such cheap dissemblance? Then you are stupid, and it makes you think we all are, too. Why not have a spine and adhere to the put downs? You are the cheapest little shit I have ever encountered.

I have never indicated it is a sore subject, I loved all my schools.

I had a formal education, Carol. And I haven’t stopped. It’s just that I react badly to put-downs coming from loud, poorly educated, poor, spineless losers.

As of now, I would think President Trump will AT LEAST be on a par in history with President Harry Truman. Some awful presidents are touted as heroes like deep state elitist FDR who won four elections but was a rotten socialist President. And that inspired term limits. And look at other lefties who are touted as so great but weren't - like Kennedy. Though Kennedy might have been as conservative as today's capital R Republicans.

I think we might need to go back a hundred or more years to find a better President than Donald Trump. The truth is out there.

I see bit coin bit the dust.

And now, Laura Loomer awaits Presidential intervention ...

Oh, I think Twitter, now Facebook in Laura's case (and soon the others) should keep banning people they disagree with rather than rebut them or let users debate them.

The market will not forgive this.

Users who want different points of view will not respond like the fringe and attack back. They will simply go elsewhere.

Great for alt platforms. Bad for establishment tech giants.

btw - I read somewhere Facebook just hired a law firm specialized in anti-trust legislation. I wonder what that's all about, hmmmmm?

:)

I find it funny that the Facebook people think the idea of busting them up comes from President Trump. I wonder how shocked they would be if they knew it came from the very establishment elitists they suck up to. Actually, they probably already know it, but still want to suck up to the wrong people. So they will not fight that end. They keep fighting their users instead.

Meanwhile, in parallel, the market is speaking. They can cook their user number books for the general public and the fake news mainstream press, but it's harder to do for shareholders. Thus, from two days ago...

The highest-flying consumer tech stocks have lost $1 trillion

May they continue to shit on their users...

Re-posting this fun Unite the Right attempt by the young miss.

Here's a thought off the top of my head about the mainstream fake news media--and the deep state for that matter.

The big news of the day is that Manafort met (no I mean allegedly met, no I mean supposedly met, no I mean according to sources met, no I mean, er... well... uhm...) with Assange to get Podesta's emails or something or other. Then Wikileaks put a million dollar bounty--a bet, actually--on the head of the Guardian's editor Katharine Viner to prove that Manafort met with Assange and the story went bye-bye.

But from the surge it caused in the press, along with the news that Manafort had lied (no I mean allegedly lied, no I mean supposedly lied, no I mean according to sources lied, no I mean, er... well... uhm...) to Meuller so Mueller was cancelling his agreement, this time they were really going to get Trump.

Now that story is dead in the mainstream, also.

Now, Corsi is in the news again and all over the headlines. He is claiming that his story and Roger Stone's story are slightly different re Podesta's emails, but that they were both lying at the time to play dirty tricks on the Clinton side during the presidential campaign, which is kinda what they do (sort of like Clinton and the deep state hiring intellectual goons for millions of dollars to fabricate a fake document, a dossier that rivals the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, for fakery and lack of plain old common sense, claiming Trump hired hookers to piss in front of him on a bed the Obamas slept in). Underneath it all, we have two propagandists telling slightly different versions of the misinformation campaign they did. Just this time, their misinformation ended up being real because Podesta used "password" as his email password and got fished.

But the news is all over this as if it is going to take down Trump like piranhas in a river going nuts over a side of beef.

Now here's my thought. This nonstop crap has me irritated in a manner I couldn't put my finger on. Then it hit me.

Remember when Carter was President Carter and hostages (mostly Americans) were being held at gun point in the embassy in Iran? That thing dragged on for 444 days. It seemed like it would never end.

The daily fake propaganda campaigns against President Trump--one after another--of the Mainstream Fake News Media and the Deep State are giving me that same sense of irritation. It's stupid what they are doing, hell their stories are blowing up in the same goddam day they go out, but they keep doing it. This is starting to wear away any and all patience I have with them.

I believe I'm not the only one feeling this.

They (meaning the Mainstream Fake News Media and the Deep State) are actually fooling some people with their nonstop bullshit, but they are not fooling everybody. In fact, I contend they are not fooling the majority, but irritating them instead. I would not want to be them when the real boom hits. There is going to be more than justice dealt. There is going to be widely approved revenge. They are pissing people off for real and letting the pressure build over months.

Michael, I have read this post twice and I cannot see the connection here. I remember the relentless coverage of Iran, certainly initiated by the MSM as they counted off the days to the 443rd day of captivity of the hostages in Iran., and that was certainly pounding Carter every day that he did not get them free, but what was fake about the story? Were the Americans not really being held hostage? Please explain the analogy here.

Carol,

Ineptitude of the friggin' elitist Democrats re Iran and elitists in general for everything else--all for being so out of touch with reality.

That's the connection. The inability to demonstrate competence when facing reality in large dangerous issues.

Carter couldn't deal with Iran correctly and the elitist fake news media couldn't and still can't report it--or anything else--correctly. (Oddly enough, Carter was not an elitist, but boy did he surround himself with them.)

Whenever these jerks get power, they always pull one over on the public, either through ineptitude or sheer evil, usually both. And the way they set it up, their crap goes on forever.

It's irritating when these self-inflicted evils engulf the entire country, drag on and on and never get better, and the solutions are so goddam quick and easy.

Don't think Republican elitists are immune, either. I remember a few recent poorly resolved wars that turned into unending black hole quagmires through this same kind of ineptitude (but always with core top elitists making gobs and gobs of unearned money while lesser scale elitists go posturing around as if they were innately superior to the rest of humanity).

Friggin' parasites, every one of them.

Without insider clubs that work like a tautology, these assholes are nobody.

I think I can understand now, of what is "from the top of your head" and in your heart too, better than I did before.  The annoyance and anger at ineptitude and elitism goes back a long time, and you see real hope of a remedy now.  I think your hope is misplaced, but believe me if ineptitude and elitism are vanquished by Trump, I will be glad to say I was wrong to say so. I see how real your convictions are.  I hope your chosen leader proves worthy to carry them out.

Of course you are used to my usual modes of expression, so I assume you know, this is from my heart also.

Carol,

They will never be vanquished, but they can be thrown out of power for the most part during a time. That is all one man can hope to do. This problem is as old as humanity.

And should you ever accept President Trump doing that, then own up to being wrong as you see it unfold, I will love seeing manifest the grace I know is within you.

From today:

The Weekly Standard, a conservative magazine critical of Trump, to shutter after 23 years

Does anyone see a problem here?

The media loves to say President Trump's rhetoric incites violence. When that becomes the talking point of the day, the fake news media can become insufferable.

And there's this. The St. Thomas Law Review (on Dec. 10) and the Sixth United States Circuit Court of Appeals (in September) vehemently disagrees (and disagree) with them.

Sixth United States Circuit Court of Appeals Upholds First Amendment by its Ruling on President Trump’s Alleged Incitement of a Riot

From the article:

Quote

The Sixth U.S. Circuit Court ofAppeals, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, ruled on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 that President of the United States of America Donald J. Trump’s public statements as a presidential candidate at a March 1, 2016 rally in Louisville, Kentucky during the Republican primaries did not rise to the level of inciting a riot.

. . .

Judge McKeague, applying the Brandenburg test, did not find President Trump’s statements outside the protection for the First Amendment because “not a single word encouraged violence or lawlessness explicitly or implicitly.” Judge McKeaguereasoned that for incitement speech to lose constitutional protection, it must “specifically advocate” for listeners to take imminent unlawful action, which was not the case with President Trump’s statements.

. . .

Judge McKeague’s legal analysis in his opinion is sound, and the Sixth Circuit’s unanimous ruling is reassuring.  The First Amendment in the United States of America provides broad protection of the content of speech subject to a limited and narrow class of exceptions.

In compensation, we get the following from the fake news media:

Tsk tsk tsk...

What do you think? Are the fake news media people dorks or boneheads?

Choices choices choices...

This is absolutely hilarious.

LOL...

Whoever did that video needs to be studied. There's a lot to learn there.

As Jimmy Dore said after he showed the video, that is the definition of awesome.

(And, just to be clear, I hold the opposite of Jimmy's politics. But I like the way he tries to keep it real about the folks on his side.)

I haven’t seen any tv news for about three years. I heard that’s what they were saying and I’ve seen the occasional clip, but that’s all. So that video really hits me like a ton of bricks. I feel embarrassed for people still consuming that garbage - what on earth are they thinking? There must be some sort of analogy to co-dependency, the woman who never leaves him no matter that he lies, insults, demeans and abuses her incessantly. I mean really, could they please wake the fuck up?

Anyway, the claims:  in the first story, some purportedly objective-ish findings. And spin; with added emphases:

Quote

Cracks have emerged in Donald Trump's hold on his core constituency of white working class voters, new data from the 2018 election reveal.

Though Republican candidates almost everywhere registered large margins among white voters without a college degree, Democrats ran much more competitively among the roughly half of that group who are not evangelical Christians, according to previously unpublished results from the 2018 exit poll conducted by Edison Research for the National Election Pool, a consortium of media organizations including CNN.

Democrats, the analysis found, ran particularly well this year among white working-class women who are not evangelicals, a group that also displayed substantial disenchantment in the exit poll with Trump's performance. Those women could be a key constituency for Democrats in 2020 in pivotal Rust Belt states such as Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, where relatively fewer blue-collar whites are also evangelical Christians.

Nationwide, nearly three-fifths of blue-collar white women who are not evangelicals voted Democratic in last month's House races, while an equal number said they disapproved of Trump's performance in office, the analysis of exit poll results found. That was well over double the Democratic share of the vote among non-college white women who are evangelical Christians. And while Republicans last month still carried a majority among working-class white men who are not evangelicals, Democrats attracted about twice as much support from them as they did among the equivalent men who are evangelicals.

The death of the Standard is no problem for Trump 2020.  The scope of its contributors and readers is pretty much Anti-Trump or Never-Trump or some alternative fact realm of "Principled Conservatives," whatever the heck that is.

The 'pool' of talented and resourceful "Never Trumpers" who retain their GOP party membership is not confined within the masthead of the dead Standard.

Eg, Rick Wilson, whose best-selling book is titled Everything Trump Touches Dies.
