BaalChatzaf
Did he see his shadow?

If the sun was obstructed by clouds, it could not cast a shadow. 2. Did he come out of his hole and out in the open where the sun can shine on him? If not then he did not make a shadow. 3. Was he facing away from the sun? If he was facing toward the sun, his shadow was behind him and he did not see it. But it doesn't matter. Anyone who thinks whether the groundhog saw his shadow has any implication about how much longer winter will last is a scientific ignoramus. Was the question worth answering? Or asking? Within a climate regime there can be heavy winters and light winters. Here in New Jersey we are having a very light winter. We had only one snowfall over 4-5 inches and a few light dustings So far so good. I prefer mild winters to heavy winters.
