A Small Wonder by V. A. Parisi

Recommended Posts

Take a grain of sand in hand

Look upon a beach

Close your eyes and throw the grain

As far as you can reach.

Look upon the beach again

Search beneath your feet

Try to see that grain again

Which makes the beach complete.

Think of what a beach would be

With but one grain of sand

To wash away with just a wave

A beach you held in hand.

William Wordsworth: "She dwelt among the untrodden ways"

SHE dwelt among the untrodden ways

Beside the springs of Dove,

A Maid whom there were none to praise

And very few to love:

A violet by a mossy stone

Half hidden from the eye!

--Fair as a star, when only one

Is shining in the sky.

She lived unknown, and few could know

When Lucy ceased to be; 10

But she is in her grave, and, oh,

The difference to me!
