Louisiana, A Body Camera And A Dead Child...Something Really Reeks On This One...

I do not know whether this newspaper has a particular agenda or not...

At any rate, this is really troubling me.

Few’s fiancée, Megan Dixon, said Saturday the encounter happened shortly after she and Few left in separate vehicles following an argument while playing pool at a nearby bar.

Dixon said Few was stopped ahead of her at an intersection and got out and approached her. Dixon and a friend with her drove past Few’s small SUV and made a right turn at the light — an encounter that drew the attention of officers nearby.

Seconds later, as Few raced past them with deputy Ward 2 marshals in pursuit, Dixon said, she could see Few’s son, Jeremy David Mardis, through the side window. The chase ended less than 2 miles away at the gates of the now-closed Marksville State Historic Site, where deputy marshals blocked Few in a corner.

The two deputy marshals — Lt. Derrick Stafford, 32, of Mansura, and Norris Greenhouse Jr., 23, of Marksville — are being held at the Avoyelles Parish Jail on counts of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. The two men are accused of firing at least 18 rounds into the driver’s side of Few’s vehicle after penning it in at the end of the chase.

The autistic 6 year old was apparently shot some 5 or 6 times.

Apparently, there were two (2) additional uniformed police officers on scene and one had a body camera.

Apparently, what was on the body camera led directly to the arrest of the two (2) who allegedly discharged their weapons.

So, do autistic white kid's lives matter?

OK, so the two Marshals were black...that does not make this a hate crime...oh good...

Yep, Mom was 16ish, yep, apparently a rape? Nah, just dating...

His young mother, now 22, had several run-ins with the law, including arrests for alleged disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and forgery. After moving to Marksville, Jeremy was enrolled at Lafargue Elementary School.

They must be cloning Huey Long...

Marksville is a poor town in a rural area where farmers plant sugar cane, corn and soybeans and raise crawfish. It is best known as the hometown of Edwin Edwards, the swashbuckling Cajun who was elected governor of Louisiana a record four times and then spent nearly 10 years in federal prison on corruption charges.

Mike Edmonson, a WHITE man, who only got his position because of his WHITE privilege, and who:

...heads the Louisiana State Police, ordered the marshals' arrest after reviewing forensic evidence, a 911 recording, accounts from some of those involved and images from a body camera worn by one of two city police officers who joined the pursuit behind Stafford and Greenhouse.

The footage "was one of the most disturbing videos I've ever seen under these circumstances," Edmonson said Saturday. "It troubled me as a police officer and as a father. There's no reason that boy deserved to die like that."

I was wondering why this dropped off the radar...

Gag order

A gag order was issued by Judge William Bennett, who also presided over the bail hearing. The order forbade involved parties from discussing the case with the press, including police, victims, and witnesses.[11] Media outlets requested the Louisiana State Police to release public records for information about the case, but these requests were denied.[5]

The body camera appears to be what is going to hang these two...

MARKSVILLE, La. (AP) — A police body camera recorded the father of a 6-year-old autistic boy with his hands up and posing no threat as police fired into his car, severely wounding the motorist and killing his son, the man's lawyer said Monday.

"This was not a threatening situation for the police," said Mark Jeansonne, an attorney for Chris Few, who remained hospitalized and could not attend Monday's funeral of his son, Jeremy Mardis.

Derrick Stafford, 32, of Mansura, and Norris Greenhouse Jr., 23, of Marksville, were ordered held on $1 million bonds Monday on second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder charges, Jeansonne said.
