Some Trump haters such as the Washington Post, HuffPost, Steven Colbert and many others on Twitter gave flak to President Trump for not reciting the Apostle’s Creed at George H. W. Bush’s funeral along with the other attendees. Why didn’t he?

I speculate that he misunderstood what it was about. He thought they were going to cite Apollo Creed🙂 Why do that?

Speculating more, citing Apollo Creed rubbed him the wrong way. Analogous to Rocky fighting Apollo Creed in Rocky, he envisioned himself fighting Uncle Sam when he ran for President. But that didn’t quite fit. Rocky lost. Trump won. 🙂

Wow, even cum-guzzling whore Monica Lewinski is getting in on the mocking action!

She's a dedicated anti-bullying activist now, who took the opportunity to jump right in there and bully Trump!

Yup, sucking cock in the oval office is not something that one should be mocked for, but misspelling a word is.

Btw, did the world go this apeshit when Omama pronounced "corps" as "corpse," and "corpsman" as corpseman"? No!!! Did his errors prove that he was an idiot? Hell no!!!!!

People haven't learned yet that President Trump does these misspellings on purpose to hijack the media.

Whatever they were talking about before, they are not anymore. Now they are talking about President Trump and his spelling.

To use the well-worn analogy, all the air got sucked out of the room.

(The technical term for such a misspelling is "pattern interrupt.")

This is a trick as old as the hills, my little covfefe. It's been explained in the mainstream time and time again and it still works on those doofuses.

To be honest, when Trump unleashed covfefe I thought at first he was screwing with everyone, but still I can't be sure he didn't fat-finger "coverage".  Too many late-night cheeseburgers has plumped up those tiny digits  :P

Don't bother to examine a folly, ask yourself only what it accomplishes.

Only when President Trump does a folly, it is done by a good guy to befuddle the bad guys.

And boy do the bad guys examine it. They examine it and examine it and examine it and examine it and examine it and examine it and examine it and while they are examining it, they forget all about the issue he is doing someplace else until it is too late.

It's a possibility, not a certainty in my mind.

Not really.  But of course, it depends on who 'they' or 'people' are.

I suggest that alongside or in parallel to a wee eruption of bad jokes and mocking on Twitter and gossipy outlets, a grinding squealing media machinery still spits out material on the main and consequential Trump news of the day -- as well as still continuing to chew on topics that plague the administration every  week.  There is only so much fun to be had from a pair of misspellings.  This was a blip, in the greater scheme of things.  In my opinion, anyway.

Mueller.  They still talking.  The 'hijack' was unsuccessful.

Now they are talking about President Trump and his spelling.

To use the well-worn analogy, all the air got sucked out of the room.

But it didn't.  Lots of air left. The billowing churning storm atmosphere is raining down headlines, stories, analysis and varied whoopee and hoopla ... and looking at the "smocking gun" incident in terms of Trump's communicative intent, are you talking about the content of the paired tweets? So far, no, so. I mean, what was the point?  To get people to consider, accept and believe that Comey is a felon?

Nick Ayers. John Kelly. They still talking.

It didn't work at all. Perhaps more people think Trump is an illiterate idiot, but the 'pattern interrupt' seems to have worked to deflect thinking about Trump's greater problems only insofar as they are Trump cultists or QAnon fanatics.

The 'bad guys' are in the cohort of interpreters sampled above, maybe.  Pattern-seeking the old-fashioned way, with lashings of stupid.

William,

Just off the top of my head, the public has been advised the military will build the wall if funding doesn't come.

The Senate will now vote on prison reform... (Incidentally, I have something rather long I wrote to someone by email about this. I will post it later. Essentially, this prison reform will undo one of Bill Clinton's monkeyshines.)

There's a lot of other stuff I could find, but why? It's all getting done and the press doesn't want to talk about it.

Instead, the fakes news media only hollers about stuff that doesn't matter in the long run. Trump gives them even more and they talk about it feel good at being so superior.

So what doesn't work?

(yawn...)

Enjoy your gotchas...

They come compliment of President Trump. He wants you and the mainstream press to enjoy them...

That way, you're all out of his way...

:)

Exactly!  Mostly what I've been reading about is inteachment.

But to us bad guys, the "issue he is doing someplace else" is often more foolish than the previous folly,-- so tediously, like  the befuddled fools we are,  we continue to examine what facts are verifiable, and leave the obvious brilliant analyses to the good guys.

Carol,

I know. Things like getting ISIS to stop chopping off heads in public is so foolish. Or getting out of the endless war for profit business. (As opposed to the suddenly good Bush Senior for the left, the example of what a real war president looked like.) And so on.

In other words, fixing problems is so very foolish for those who thrive on the continuance of them.

Unfortunately, to the dismay of those who feed off the misery of the productive, the productive people eventually get fed up with problems and sometimes hire a fixer to fix them.

Enter President Trump.

And the problem lovers honk.

Oh, well...

We all have a wild goose we follow...

Mine, at least, isn't a busybody.

Live and let live, I say.

Honk and let honk...

Wile E. Coyote time again for the anti-Trumpers.

Boom!

California judge orders porn star to pay Trump legal fees

Out here in the rest of the world, the john pays the hooker.

With President Trump, it's the contrary, that is, if he was even a john (which I doubt).

And there's more.

On appeal, Stormy's going to get to pay even more.

She said Trump screwed her. Apparently she hasn't learned that Avenatti is the real john...

She got money from Trump. Wait until she sees what she gets from her ride with Avenatti. I hope she likes riding rough and tough...

fair do's.

Getting  ISIS to stop chopping off heads in public is a wonderful accomplishment, and getting out of the war for profit business is damn near miraculous.

Would it have been so hard therefore, for the wonder-worker to have got Saudis to at least apologize for torturing and murdering an American employee? Instead of toadying to them as if it was Arabia First?

Just asking.

I believe the Saudi’s said a dozen people were chastised so we need not send Teddy Roosevelt or Lawrence of Arabia to have a word with them. Carol sure seems intent on throwing around Canadian righteousness. Her favorite crossword clue may be: Clue: In the beaver state. Answer: eager. Thanks for arresting that Chinese “business woman” too. You guys are swell.

OMG, that's hilarious!!! It's the funniest and most persuasive thing that I've ever seen.

It never would have occurred to me that someone would portray Trump's opposing Nancy and Chuck as a tantrum. Wow. I've never seen seen that before. It's just so new and refreshing. Trail blazing originality. After watching this, Trump's supporters should be embarrassed that his opponents are calling his assertiveness a tantrum, and enough so to stop supporting him. I know that it's convinced me!

Man, comedy can be so powerful, can't it? Thanks for posting it, Billy, and fixing my mind!

Bring on the socialism, please!

If being Canadian just comes with righteousness, how can I help sharing the wealth?

Yeah, that is our Mounties , they always get their businesswoman, when asked nicely to get her.

Carol,

That's a hell of a way to describe Khashoggi.

That's like describing Hitler as a road works engineer and victim of suicide from depression.

Technically true, but a bit misleading.

Ooooookay.  But I maintain that if even Hitler was murdered while dolefully working for an American company on American roads, so to speak, the American president should not congratulate the murderers. Just ain't decent .
