Sorry Mike. I thought I was clear. When I clicked on Days of Rage, the site you posted, my site advisor immediately warned me it was an unsafe site and blocked the most suspicious ads and links. When I scrolled to the picture-stories at the bottom one was about beautiful breasts, one was about large but voluptuous booties, and one was about Maryland's great Olympian, and champion chug-a-lugger, Michael Phelps. When I started to read the story the word allegedly prominently appeared. It was a damn smear and a lie, like you see on the cover of the National Enquirer.

Okay. Strange. That's the zerohedge website, I go there all the time and have never had a problem. I don't see any weird ads. You must have been redirected. Do you already have a virus?

Please don't take it personally, Peter.

Zerohedge is one of my favorite sites and I access it daily without any problems whatsoever. I use Internet Explorer, just a regular antivirus program, and no ad blockers.

You have something else going on in your computer that's causing a problem. Try restarting while pressing the F8 key to get into repair and restore your computer to an earlier point in time. That should do the trick.

The site itself is fine.

Delete your cookies.

Go to Control Panel and look for any program you want to delete that you think might be causing you problems. Be careful what you delete. Look at the install date. If in doubt don't.)

Restore your computer to an earlier time. (Make sure you suspend the operation of any anti-virus add on program first or you'll go through the whole procedure only to be told it was a no go.) Don't use the furthest date back if an earlier date might work.

AVG has a very good anti-virus program. Download the free part. Be careful not to download the pay a fee parts. They're not needed but hard to avoid clicking on.

Are you using a Mac and Safari? The site does have some glitchy/intrusive stuff that could mess with certain Mac/Safari setups.

U.S. says to spend $300 million to fight HIV in Africa, 8 hours ago.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Obama administration said on Saturday it was allotting an additional $300 million to the effort to reduce HIV infection among girls and young women in 10 sub-Saharan African countries. The sum would help the main U.S. program for fighting AIDS in Africa to meet goals including providing antiretroviral treatment to 12.9 million people by the end of 2017, said Susan Rice, President Barack Obama's national security adviser. "No greater action is needed right now than empowering adolescent girls and young women to defeat HIV/AIDS. Every year, 380,000 adolescent girls and young women are infected with HIV," she said in a statement.

You can’t fight stupidity, promiscuity, and casual rape by spending my money, or to speak more correctly, by stupidly spending money we don’t have, on ignorant, thuggish, stupid people, until we are worse than bankrupt. Stop doing that Obama. Remember Darwin’s law. Nature, through natural selection, and pressures like disease, environmental shifts and changes in predation, can direct the role of selective breeding in humans. In the southwest they call them thar’ women, honkytonk angels.

Does anyone seriously suggest that the notion of infection and disease from sexual intercourse is so far above Africans that we have to help them use contraceptives or to abstain, or be true to one, uninfected person?

Soooo we should not have destroyed small pox world wide or polio? How about Ebola? Should we do nothing? How bout Bubonic plague were we silly to combat that? (Yes it is still around).

What happens if HIV ever mutated to become airborne because we did nothing? Sometimes you are really fucking stupid.

Some cranky words were written about, er, "ignorant, thuggish, stupid people" deserving to take painful punishment by means of AIDS. I don't like to needlessly personalize discussion, but I think the phrase "ignorant, thuggish, stupid" can be applied to an argument.

Big-Budget USA Foreign Aid can definitely be target for de-funding, de-legislating, and eventual reduction to zero. Picking over the dark continent as being especially undeserving of present illicit aid outlays -- as a whole class of beings? That kind of marks out an opinion as based on racialist, collectivist assumptions. How objective-ist is that?

Howzabout more reason and less prejudice?

Jules, by airborne do you me though a cough or sneeze or do you mean contagion through flies and mosquitos, or both? I won’t say it cannot be weaponized but for it to go from hard to catch - to easy to catch is possible but not probable. You are correct in never wanting that to happen but what makes you think our hundreds of millions of dollars will do anything other than line the pockets of the Sub Saharan chieftains and the cronies of Obama?

The cure for HIV is well known to Africans. The infected male with “slim disease” needs to rape a young female virgin to become cured. That usually results in the loss of her ability to urinate in an efficient manner until the raped female is operated upon. And there are herbs and a witch doctor’s incantations that can be used for a cure. Mr. Troy, you sound as if you think you are dealing with civilized people, but they are barbarous stupid, unlearned, thugs. And you call me fucking stupid.

William asked me, “Howzabout more reason and less prejudice?”

I don’t think I am prejudiced at all. What I am, is scientific. What I am is disgusted with wasted money, that we print or borrow, which will not be used to educate or change some truly horrible individuals that make up much of African society, and that definitely includes those parts of Africa that brazenly practice promiscuity, rape, and the deliberate disregard for facts.

Brant writes:

Peter, when it comes to heterosexual AIDS in Africa you don't know enough for the discussion.

I know one fact...

Heterosexual AIDS is the result of the homosexual practice of anal intercourse which is completely imbedded into African culture. Anal tissue is not designed for intercourse and abrades so that the virus spreads as easily in heterosexual African females as with homosexual males. And that's how people destroy themselves. It's completely self inflicted.

This solely concerns males and females... and, obviously, is completely irrelevant to men and women.

Heck, Peter... it's so far above Americans!

Brant insists there are several methods to spread HIV. Yet, sex and the exchange of bodily fluids, are the main culprits. I also remember lab technicians being infected from testing and handling samples, but that horrible method of transmission has been nearly stopped. And there was a dentist who spread it among his patients but I have not heard of another case.

So we are back to sex. 60 minutes has done several shows on the spread of aids in Africa. I have read some stories about South Africa's problem in major news magazines. South Africa is called the rape capital of the world. One story was about an African truck driver who had several *wives* that I would call prostitutes along his route. It was necessary that he re-infect them on each leg of his journey. If normal is stupid in your society stop being normal.

A few years ago there was a story that homosexual American males had reverted to promiscuous, unprotected behavior under some notion of *it is fated.* It is not fated. I am not morally shaking a finger at any class, race, group, or continent. What I am saying is that the contraction of aids is volitional if force is not involved. A human consents to engage in risky behavior. When I see a person smoking, in this day and age, I think, "How Stupid!" Risky behavior is stupid be it sky diving, speeding, or sex.

I just finished re-reading Patrick O'Brian's first novel, "Master and Commander." The doctor in the book gives patients physicks, and routinely bleeds patients. A society and medicine can be primitive, even in 1700's England, so gross stupidity is not found just in one race or class. But now it is the information age. Electronic books, satellite TV, super phones, and the internet are all available though less so, in primitive areas of the globe. What I feel is exasperation.

AIDS is the most heavily politically protected disease in the world by leftists, because it is primarily associated with one of the three Holy Sacraments of their secular religion... perversion. And secondarily associated with another of their Holy Sacraments... dope.

Bleeding the patient likely killed George Washington.

Greg was obviously thinking homosexual anal intercourse. In Africa, however, it's mostly heterosexual, likely due to not just promiscuity, but the guy wanting "dry" sex resulting in vaginal tearing. We can say that type of intercourse is perverse as any other not natural. There are all types of perversions. The most common and benign seems to be oral copulation. The use of any birth control is, of course, a perversion of God's will. That makes Him hardly all powerful.

I don't think I can say much more about AIDS in Africa. As for foreign aid? That will be good for the people who get to spend it.

Individual responsibility is required. It is that simple. I would not automatically quarantine a continent even if aids is rampant there, though ebola can be spread on a plane by a sneeze or a cough, so perhaps I would quarantine for diseases like ebola.

Some of the questions I get when I give blood is have I traveled to Africa, have I had homosexual sex, have I paid for sex, and have I had a blood transfusion, since I last gave blood? NO, I have not. In fact, my blood has something in it that the local hospital wants for new born babies who are having problems. I am not kidding. When I give blood, I tell the screener. She calls the hospital and they always show up to collect my blood. I know this because when I used to give blood in the hospital (down about four floors below the ground. You could smell the cafeteria food cooking) a technician told me about my blood as I was giving blood. There were several babies in distress so it was considered an emergency. She wanted to be sure my untested blood would be OK to safely use NOW. I told the technician to take more than a pint and she did, though not another whole pint. I felt like a superhero until I stood up slightly woozy. Any way, bragging aside, that is how I know. The downside to super blood is I have too many red blood cells, need to avoid iron in my food, and I occasionally have rosy cheeks especially in cold weather. Ho, ho, ho.

edit. I remember somebody chiding me for a bogus claim. I never did find out what made my blood special, or if it was just a story a scamming phlebotomist used to get people to come back to donate. I do know I tell the same story every time I give blood and they look something up on their computer and say, oh yeah, but don't talk about it. I have always assumed it was to do with my high hemoglobin count. I have been advised to give blood once or twice a year to keep the count lower. When I was told the story originally a different nurse came downstairs and thanked me, saying the transfusion had nearly immediate results, and the baby became much more responsive.
