You seem to think the stock market is the fate of the world. The tail does not wag the dog. That was even true in October, 1929.

Buying and selling the stock market is not the same as finding a company's stock selling at a bargain and buying some. And once you do why would you sell it? For the joy of paying capital gains taxes? For the pleasure of giving your buyer a good deal?

When Armageddon arrives in 12 days and you're on top of the mountain in your ascension robes waiting for Jesus, will it make any difference if your money is in your pocket or in the bank or in a company's stock? The only reason to be scared of September 14 is you won't be able to do anything the next day. Why? You think things will be better thereafter. In fact they really won't be. The big grind-down dance with volatility has only just begun. It makes no difference what happens on September 14. Maybe the market horror will be November 14 or next March or five years from now.

The big problem is the world's central banks have the world by the economic balls. It's socialism plus politics plus stupidity and ignorance. Socialism has failed everywhere else and now it's going to fail money and credit. The more liquidity those banks pump into the system, the more the banks ironically squeeze those balls for it's doing them less and less good respecting measurable economic activity and it's getting harder and harder to even get money and credit into the world's economies. Think of a Thanksgiving feast. That was good. Yummy. Burp! The only problem is you're supposed to keep eating--for God's sake don't stop!--the whole productive world hangs on the turkey farmers raising and selling and moving turkeys around. EAT, DAMN IT! EAT!

Back to me. Substantially more dollars are printed or more importantly, trillions and trillions of dollars are floating around electronically. Is the current crowd headed by Janice Yellen, doing anything positive? The Obama administration jimmies the numbers for employment and subtracts key categories when considering inflation. The very visible hand of government cannot cut off the invisible hand of the market, unless property rights are abridged.

What can a new President do, if he doesn’t understand macro-economics? If he has a group of experts ready at the swearing-in of the oath of office, and they immediately move to get government out of the way, will that BY ITSELF precipitate a crisis? It is something Trump, Rand, Carson, Fiorina, or Cruz and several others might do. I think Jeb Bush, Kasich, and Christy would continue on with government meddling leading us into a disastrous future. Of course if a financial earthquake occurs on September 14, 2015 all bets are off. (said half jesting)

I snipped the following weapons article as a precaution. A 410 shotgun will do the job but not blow through one or two drywall or plywood walls with a high velocity to strike the innocent. And a 410 can be handled by a smaller, not as strong person like a woman.

Too specialized in my opinion. It seems to be for the civilian market. I'd prefer a three-burst auto but it's not legal. In Vietnam I had full auto but I only burst-fired my M-16 3-4 rounds. The three round burst is to conserve ammo in the US military version of this weapon.

(My A-Team was the first combat unit in Vietnam to get and use the 30 round magazine. A friend of a teammate shipped us a box from Ft. Ord where they were being evaluated. Everybody got one magazine. I loaded mine with 28 rounds on the supposition that 30 rounds would jam the gun on the initial two shots as it invariably did with the 20 rounds in a 20 round magazine. I was told when I got to Vietnam to limit the 20 to 18 rounds. If this problem was ever fixed, it was after my service.

(If the M-79 grenade launcher's 40mm rounds weren't so many duds, it would have been my favorite. The one time I needed it in close combat it wouldn't even fire. The guy next to me was already dead.)

The more the US helps Israel the weaker and more vulnerable Israel becomes. That's the ironic consequence of welfare on all levels. The less the US helps Israel the stronger it becomes to the point it's as strong as it can be. Unfortunately, the US is much, much stronger than Israel. The stronger Israel becomes the more Israel is the tail wags the American dog. Israel, with the insane Iran deal--courtesy of Obama--has been freed from US influence to the extent it will be able to go ahead and use nukes against Iran to stop Iran from getting the bomb. Conventional arms won't do the job. Precise targeting and size of the general blast and radiation spread from winds can greatly limit collateral damage from 10-15 explosions. The US, if not Israel, will then have to actively deal with a world where using nukes in war is accepted--a genie put into the bottle by the horror of the WWII atomic bombings. The world too will have to deal with possible ad hoc use of nukes as terror weapons such as a ship suicide mission into New York harbor or Norfolk, Virginia. (It should now, but really doesn't, so this is psychology.)

The US committed ground troops to South Vietnam in 1965--that is, large conventional forces. North Vietnam countered. The First Gulf War came out of a feckless US foreign policy in which we implicitly sanctioned Iraq's invasion of Kuwait. So Iraq invaded. There was no strength to similarly counter so it was tried on a small scale with the first Trade Center bombing. This was followed by the greatest example of successful bear baiting of all time, the 9/11 fiasco which eviscerated the prior geo-political situation between Iraq and Iran to the latter's benefit and cost the US years more than a decade of war plus the cost exceeding a trillion dollars, all continuing. No need to talk about Afghanistan. The world is sleep-walking into general thermonuclear war through these continuing escalations of force. It's not likely to get that far. GTW is old hat big bombs. What's more likely is some major cities get blown up. One city = goodbye Israel. An EMP pulse over the upper mid-west and goodbye the United States of America. Computers won't work. The lights won't come on. Cars won't run. Water won't flow. The east and west coasts might survive.

One can come with many more possibilities. The really unintended consequence might be a better world. Not for the dead, of course. Humanity will collectively struggle on until that asteroid wipes it out.

Not sure about Armageddon because that's something else entirely. But technically this already "began" on 911 with America's forfeiture of its moral protection and economic providence by pronouncing the verdict upon itself.

So now by default America is under a sentence it passed upon itself. And just as with the catastrophes which have already happened, each successive event will be more and more severe until this nation is destroyed.

Just some odd coincidences concerning the Twin Towers. Keeping in mind that Shemitah years are 7th years and are reckoned from September to September on our calendar:

Twin Tower concept presented 1945
Twin Tower construction began 1966
Twin Tower inauguration dedication and ribbon cutting 1973
Twin Tower destruction 2001

Replacement One World Trade Center building opens 2015

ALL of those years were Shemitah years.

And the back story to America's loss of moral protection and economic providence:

If I woke up one morning and found myself steeped in your type of irrationality my head would explode. Too much, too soon. You need to start out small and build that universe brick by brick slowly adjusting to the non-real in your head's juxtaposition to the world out there by cherry-picking facts and ignoring all else.

The facts you latch onto are what you bump into. I'd call your philosophy the "Owe" philosophy except that's only half of it--the rational half. If it's anyone else's "owe" you abstract it into and out of existence insofar as it can be molded to fit your idea of what is-should-be-will-be. Out of your mouth comes glory and when the future might be described when it comes as something different than the prediction you so easily rendered, you'll find a way to keep pumping out more of the same albeit in sort of different clothes burying the past by denying the present without acknowledging the burying but sufficient to keep going with ever more glory predicted coming around the bend.

Using an absurdity in an attempt to invalidate the timing of events which have already happened reveals a certain desperation on your part, Brant.

There can be only ONE time when the Twin Towers are officially and publicly proposed, and only ONE time when construction begins, and only ONE time when they are completed and publicly dedicated...

...and surely only ONE time when they were totally destroyed.

As much as you'd like to... you cannot argue with the facts of when those events happened because they are objective realities.

It took absolutely no effort on my part to see a connection in timing that was already there. I didn't need to try to make the timing of those events fit, because they are already fixed in time and cannot be altered, even by you. I merely to noticed the timing that someone else noticed.

You have absolutely NO CONTROL over the objective reality that the two greatest stock market crashed in US history BOTH occurred on an Elul29 of a Shemitah year... only one day that comes every 7 years. Even a totally godless secular atheist scientist would note that's remarkable odds when the possibilities of occurring on all of the other days and other years are considered.

And while you are perfectly free to dismiss it as dumb stupid random chance, you cannot change it... just as you cannot change the fact that the next Elul29 of a Shemitah year arrives in a week.

And just another interesting event...

In a one-in-50 Jubliee year, 1967, Jerusalem was reclaimed by the Israelis in the 6 Day War. This was an historic event in that it was lost to the Romans in 70 a.d.

2016 will be a Jubliee year, so it will be interesting to watch Israel just to see what might happen. :smile:
