I found this talk on the brain and consciousness to be rather interesting. It is given by Baroness Susan Greenfield, a genuine member of the House of Lords (and Ladies) and also a PhD researcher into brain functioning. She has done work on Alzheimer's disease and other functions and dysfunctions of the brain. Here is the vid:

It is an hour long. Skip the first ten minutes which is introduction of the speaker etc. You get into the meat of the lecture around 20:00:00 or so.
