Thermodynamics

"Thermodynamics is a physical science that studies the effects on material bodies, and on radiation in regions of space, of transfer of heat and of work done on or by the bodies or radiation. It interrelates macroscopic variables, such as temperature, volume and pressure, which describe physical properties of material bodies and radiation, which in this science are called thermodynamic systems."

And it just keeps getting funnier!

Thermodynamics is interesting and important, but it is surely not funny.

Am I missing something?

Ask "Selene." I was just trying to get into the spirit of his sense of "humor."

Is this a "closed" system joke?

Welcome to OL.

Not at all, this is just JR pointing out that my selection of humor for the Redford article was ...well ...stupid on my part. And, he was correct. JR will, with acerbic satire, constructively criticize an error like I made.

Have you read much of Rand?

Brant:

I thought it was funny also, but I just stuck it in humor without really giving any reason and just quickly said read it, it gets funnier which was a cheap shortcut.
