I support Walker but I'm afraid he might neo-con us into inappropriate foreign adventurism. He needs to get educated about a foreign policy run now by the neo-cons respecting Russia and Ukraine. They are going nutso over Putin.

Sadly, I agree.

We need to use Europe as a buffer zone.

The Clintons are materially and spiritually venal.

What a perfect word choice.

Since I "hear" the word venal it triggers a Catholic meaning because of my upbringing exposure to Catholicism.

According to Roman Catholicism, a venial sin (meaning "forgivable" sin) is a lesser sin that does not result in a complete separation from God and eternal damnation in Hell as an unrepented mortal sin would.[1][2] A venial sin involves a "partial loss of grace" from God. They do not break ones friendship with God, but injure it.[3]

However, in the secular definition, which takes priority, your choice was perfectly precise.

Venality is a vice associated with being bribeable or of selling one's services or power, especially when one should act justly instead. In its most recognizable form, dishonesty, venality causes people to lie and steal for their personal advantage, and is related to bribery and nepotism, among other vices.

Perfect.

The rest of the Wiki is also quite instructive:

The Oxford English Dictionary[1] defines it as:

The quality or fact of being for sale.

The quality of being venal; readiness to give support or favour in return for profit or reward; prostitution of talents or principles for mercenary considerations.

Interesting observation:

By definition, committing "venal" acts does not indicate "stealing" or "lying", but rather suggests a consensual arrangement, perhaps without conscience or regard for consequences, but is not synonymous with stealing.

Another statement is worth noting:

For people to accept settlements and legislation, the acts of the government must be seen as just. This perception enhances the legitimacy of the government. Venality is a term often used with reference to pre-revolutionary France, where it describes the then-widespread practice of selling administrative positions within the government to the highest bidder, especially regarding the Nobles of the Robe.

Thus, for example, venality was a charge for which, in part, Danton and others were executed during the Terror.

Washington and Evita have raised venality to a low art.

Hillary is making moves to re-jig her digital campaign, as told by Politico:

The presumptive Democratic front-runner is building a New York-based campaign that senior party operatives say could ultimately be staffed with more than 1,000 data geeks, techies and digital gurus. Interviews for more tech-focused slots are happening “on the half hour for what will be dozens of early hires,” one longtime Clinton aide explained of the operation, which could see its technology fleet grow roughly three times larger than Obama’s 2012 reelection effort.

Such a heavy technology focus is a marked contrast for Clinton compared with 2008, when she surrounded herself with old-guard political advisers who were determined to protect what they saw as the preordained presidential nominee and who didn’t want to take chances or deploy the kinds of nimble and creative digital and data efforts that Obama ultimately used to great effect to beat her.

On the subject of first out of the gate Ted Cruz, here's what a Cruz-Clinton electoral showdown means to sampled voters, according to polling collected by RealClearPolitics. The put-your-nasty-word-here has been running between ten and twenty percent in advance of Cruz since last summer. I expect his formal entry into the race might change the trend, but at this point in the pre-pre-campaign, I would predict a Clinton win. I'd rather she didn't, but there is something inexorable about her will. I might rather say "One chance at the ring per couple" but she has other notions.

It doesn't do any good to castigate Clinton: she has ridden every scandal like a rodeo champion. I don't think there will be anything new thrown at her, and I also think her ugly/arrogant/confident face is well known to Americans. They more or less know what they will get. I'd be interested to read OLers laying out the odds as they see them now. Cruz may not of course gain the GOP nomination, a more probable Clinton-Crusher like Jeb Bush could well take it.

I was quite thrilled that Cruz staked out the evangelical base with his presentation at Jerry Falwell's Liberty University. I don't see anyone else trying to one up him there.

There is a long series of polls examining GOP names against Clinton. Bush, Walker and Paul come closer to Clinton-crushing than does Cruz ... Paul is today pointing to his numbers as indication he is the guy offering the best antidote to her poison. I'll tell you straight-up I am rooting for Cruz -- as the only Canadian in the race. He is also very educated and intelligent and politically-gifted, regardless of his lapdance on the fundies in Lynchburg.

I know nobody here would be happy with a Hillary Clinton as chief executive of the USA. But you might have to get used to it, if her leads hold. In the same way, I may have to get used to Stephen Harper's Conservatives maintaining their parliamentary majority this year (Harper is a master parliamentary tactician and a veteran politician who has managed to make his own Christian bent uninteresting to voters).

William:

March Presidential polls that appear in paper newspapers are great for covering the floors of bird cages.

Let's take a look at Reuters from March 2007, shall we? Yes we shall...

In the Republican race, Giuliani widened his lead over Thompson to 14 points, 29 percent to 15 percent, compared to last month's 28 percent to 20 percent lead.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee jumped over former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney into third place. Huckabee had 11 percent, with Romney and Arizona Sen. John McCain at 9 percent.

And let's see what it looked like on the Democratic side...

"This race is just beginning, let alone all over," pollster John Zogby said.

Clinton led Obama 38 percent to 27 percent in the new poll, a 10-point fall from her 46 percent to 25 percent lead last month. The drop followed a month of attacks on the New York senator from her rivals and a heavily criticized performance in a late-October debate.

Former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina remained in third place, climbing four points to 13 percent. All other Democratic contenders scored in low single digits, including New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson at 4 percent.

About 14 percent of Democratic voters nationwide are still uncertain of their choice as the first contest approaches in Iowa, which kicks off the state-by-state battle to pick candidates for the November 4, 2008, presidential election.

The most interesting aspect of your post is the typical Clinton replication instinct taking over in terms of taking what beat them and using it.

Very smart team. The Clintons should never be underestimated and they can be beat.

Certain folks should be doing their best to get a radical left wing person, not Nader, however he will do and push them to run and promise funding. Bernie Sanders is stupid enough for that role as the truly Socialist alternative to the other two whoever they wind up being.

Additionally, this may be a race where the ticket will matter.

Hillary has slim viable VP options. The Democrats have a very weak "bench."

The Republican VP pick will make the difference if this next election is close.

Another one of Evita's energizer bunny organizations that will launder money to her Presidential campaign...remember, it is all about women and girls...

This is from her and Chelsea's noceilings.com and is called the Full Participation Campaign [can you hear the clicking of the gun being engaged and the soft angry voice saying "Or else!"

Twenty years later, equality for women and girls still remains a matter of human rights, justice, and fairness. It is also a strategic imperative. In an increasingly complex and interconnected world, we cannot afford to leave the talents of half of the world’s population on the table.

Of course, there

7. Promote women's roles in protecting and securing our environment
Environmental degradation is a significant threat to the stability and peacefulness of communities and nations around the world. Because of their central responsibility for producing food and collecting water, women and girls are particularly vulnerable to environmental challenges—including climate change—but have a critical role to play in developing effective responses.

Integrate women fully into negotiations and decision-making on environmental issues, including climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies and other climate policies.
Capitalize on women’s knowledge and role as stewards of natural resources to help protect, sustain, and manage the environment.
Expand equitable control over productive and natural resources and basic services, including sustainable energy, land, clean cookstoves, and clean water and sanitation.

The intro to the "plan" states:

Informed by the data in the Full Participation Report, No Ceilings has identified ten priorities for the 21st century to unlock the potential of women and girls, ensure their security, and create opportunity for them to compete and succeed. These priorities intersect. Education relates to the opportunity to get a decent job; violence affects health and has economic costs. These issues cannot be addressed in silos, but instead should be treated as linked—because discrimination or barriers in one area can limit opportunities in multiple ways and, likewise, eliminating those hurdles can have cascading positive impact in the lives of women and girls.

Hammer that phrase deep into the hard semantic wiring of the brain and mind.

The "Plan" has ten (10) priorities that are quite intriguing...

Unlock Potential
We need to ensure autonomy for women and girls in family and civic life; promote access to and completion of secondary education; guarantee sexual and reproductive health and rights; and end harmful practices like child marriage and female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C).
1. Ensure autonomy for women and girls in family and civic life
2. End child marriage and FGM/C
3. Ensure completion of a quality secondary education
4. Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health and rights
Ensure Security
To foster fair and effective governance and to ensure safety and security, we need to end gender-based violence; enable women’s participation in conflict prevention, resolution, and recovery; and promote women’s roles in protecting the environment.
5. End gender-based violence
6. Enable women's participation in conflict prevention, resolution, and recovery
7. Promote women's roles in protecting and securing our environment
Create Opportunity
To ensure that women and girls can participate fully in economic, political, and civic life, we need to eliminate obstacles to women’s economic participation; promote women’s leadership in both the public and private sectors; and improve opportunities to study science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and take full advantage of the power of technology.
8. Eliminate barriers to women’s economic participation
9. Increase women’s leadership
10. Close the gender gap in ICTs and STEM

So Hillary is going to declare open war on Islam in the name of women's rights? Lol sounds like all bark and no bite.

Actually, what is hilarious is Evita running the "infamous" [it is not, it is politics, most campaigns have them] "war room" where Evita engineered calling Monica a whore!!

I mean really Evita?

Speaking of Evita being much worse than what she had her operatives label Monica, Paula Jones, Catherine Willey, et. al.

After her representatives determined which emails were government-related and which were private, a setting on the account was changed to retain only emails sent in the previous 60 days, her lawyer, David Kendall, said. He said the setting was altered after she gave the records to the government.

“Thus, there are no hdr22@clintonemail.com emails from Secretary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state on the server for any review, even if such review were appropriate or legally authorized,” Mr. Kendall said in a letter to the House select committee investigating the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya.

Having remove any relevant felonious material, Evita is ready to declare her campaign for President, now that she has officially covered her electronic footprints.

Astounding!

The ranking Democrat on the committee, Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland, defended Mrs. Clinton’s disclosure.

“This confirms what we all knew — that Secretary Clinton already produced her official records to the State Department, that she did not keep her personal emails, and that the select committee has already obtained her emails relating to the attacks in Benghazi,” Mr. Cummings said.

In the letter, Mr. Kendall offered a defense for the process Mrs. Clinton had used to differentiate between personal messages and government records. He said that those procedures were consistent with guidelines from the National Archives and the State Department, which say that an individual can make the decision about what should be preserved as a federal record.
So, Mr. Kendall contended, the process Mrs. Clinton used was “not an ‘arrangement’ that is ‘unprecedented’ or ‘unique,’ but instead the normal procedure carried out by tens of thousands of agency officials and employees in the ordinary course.”

I recommend she indulge in a diet very high in free floating radicals.

They are already on Evita's secret spy organization...

This is a devastating article on Evita and how she is...

The second is that Hillary Clinton had an aide running a "secret spy network" that was, among other things, feeding her information on Benghazi, according to a report by Pro Publica and Gawker. Earlier this month, I noted the myriad ways that Clinton running her own private email server breathes new life into the Benghazi investigation, but this last revelation takes things to a whole new level.

Allegedly, the O'bama White House, aka, Valerie Jarret refused to have Blumenthal anywhere near any position anywhere in the regime. Evita wanted him In the State Department and was allegedly told NO in NO uncertain terms.

If Hillary Clinton's "secret spy network" involved the likes of Blumenthal, Drumhiller, and Shearer -- men whose past deeds suggest they may not be trustworthy -- this ought to because for serious alarm. At a minimum, it demands that Congressional overseers take a closer look at what these people were doing on behalf of Hillary Clinton. Bear in mind, this team wasn't just sending Hillary Clinton intelligence briefings. They had contracted out to a company, Osprey Global Solutions, run by a former General and Delta Force member, David L. Grange, to do fieldwork and intelligence gathering in Tunisia.

Benghazi connection discovered by hacker.

We only know about Clinton's spy ring because a hacker who goes by the moniker "Guccifer" hacked the email account of former Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal and posted his emails online. (Guccifer is now serving a prison sentence in his native Romania.) Guccifer's emails reveal Blumenthal was providing Clinton with detailed intelligence briefings on events in the Middle East and running the ad hoc spy ring. This arrangement is very curious, considering that the Obama White House made it clear that they didn't want Blumenthal working for the administration after Hillary Clinton previously tried to formally hire him to work at the State Department.

Key e-mails to Evita. Two in two days following Benghazi...

Insofar as Blumenthal's briefings relate to Benghazi, they do raise some questions about what Hillary Clinton said in the aftermath of the attacks:

One memo was sent on August 23, 2012, less than three weeks before Islamic militants stormed the diplomatic outpost in Benghazi. It cites “an extremely sensitive source” who highlighted a string of bombings and kidnappings of foreign diplomats and aid workers in Tripoli, Benghazi and Misrata, suggesting they were the work of people loyal to late Libyan Prime Minister Muammar Gaddafi.

While the memo doesn’t rise to the level of a warning about the safety of U.S. diplomats, it portrays a deteriorating security climate. Clinton noted a few days after the Benghazi attack, which left four dead and 10 people injured, that U.S. intelligence officials didn’t have advance knowledge of the threat.

On September 12, 2012, the day after the Benghazi attack, Blumenthal sent a memo that cited a “sensitive source” saying that the interim Libyan president, Mohammed Yussef el Magariaf, was told by a senior security officer that the assault was inspired by an anti-Muslim video made in the U.S., as well as by allegations from Magariaf’s political opponents that he had CIA ties.

Blumenthal followed up the next day with an email titled “Re: More Magariaf private reax.” It said Libyan security officials believed an Islamist radical group called the Ansa al Sharia brigade had prepared the attack a month in advance and “took advantage of the cover” provided by the demonstrations against the video.

So Clinton knew the security situation in Libya was deteriorating before Benghazi, and she was told it was a premeditated terror attack two days afterward. Nevertheless, the Obama administration continued to insist it was not a terror attack and was merely the result of a spontaneous uprising in reaction to a blasphemous YouTube video.

Devastating dissection of Evita's and the President's non-policy in the Afro-Eurasian theater with the Middle East as the fatal linchpin:

In a stunning interview on “Fox News Sunday” in which he spoke bluntly and pulled not a single punch, the former head of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency was sharply critical of President Obama ‘s Middle East policies, especially the emerging nuclear deal with Iran.

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn used two words to characterize the administration’s approach to “almost a complete breakdown of order in the Middle East” — those two words: “willful ignorance.”

Flynn told Fox News’ Chris Wallace that Iran is “clearly on the march” and will undoubtedly exert increasing influence in growing sectarian wars now spreading across a number of countries — an influence that could be made even more threatening if they finalize the developing nuclear arms deal with the Obama administration.

The video in this link is powerful.

The small erosions begin...

Clinton’s favorability rating is down in each state, but she still does better than Republican contenders, except for Jeb Bush and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio in Florida.

Clinton is not honest and trustworthy, Florida voters say 50 – 41 percent and Pennsylvania voters say 49 – 44 percent.

Ohio voters are divided as 47 percent say yes and 46 percent say no.

Matchups between Clinton and her closest Republican opponent in each state show:

Florida:

Bush at 45 percent to Clinton’s 42 percent

Ohio:

Clinton over Paul 46 – 41 percent;

Pennsylvania:

Paul at 45 percent to 44 percent for Clinton

These kind of negatives are seriously hard to turn around.

Damn, the anti-Evita forces are even dragging two- time loser Gary Hart, who happens to be a progressive that you can have an intelligent conversation with.

Gary Hart has serious reservations about a Hillary Clinton candidacy.

The prospect of a billion-dollar Clinton campaign “ought to frighten every American,” he said in an interview with POLITICO, and Democrats would be better served by a competitive primary that forced her to speak in more depth about the issues.

Hart, a two-time Democratic presidential candidate, offered his opinions in a phone interview Wednesday where he also expressed admiration of Elizabeth Warren and gave advice to prospective challenger Martin O’Malley, a former Hart campaign staffer.

I think Adam hit the bulls eye when he said:

"Could this be a Presidential campaign that is so insulated and arrogant that it may have her rarely appear. Make it all about messaging, media and mayhem on election day"

-J

It's beginning to look like I may be on the right scent of Evita's stench...oops did I say that in my out loud mind?

In an article entitled: "Clinton to start 2016 bid with focus on voter interaction."

The strategy is also aimed at playing to what Clinton allies see as her strengths. Friends and advisers have long said she is more at ease in small group settings and one-on-one conversations where she can display her policy expertise, as well as personal warmth that she sometimes struggles to convey in front of larger crowds.

Remember, it's all about "women" and "girls."

So this is an early gambit.

These "feminized," just us "girls" talk sessions, where we can all "let our hair down," will be extremely effectively marketed and can be multi-generational.

The goal, according to two people close to the Clinton organization, is to make Clinton's second run for the White House more about voters and less about herself.

It is a reasonably smart move by Evita's campaign because:

1) it keeps her out of the "public eye," to a major and controlled degree;

2) these touchy feely groups can be intimate, private, packaged and released as internet "embeds" by "reporters;" and

3) strategically, it prevents mistakes, although the writer does not share my opinion about that, and is expandable, or, changed if it is not working.

Clinton may make the official announcement with an online video or social media post, though those plans are still being finalized. She is expected to quickly hit the campaign trail, with stops in Iowa and New Hampshire.

It's unclear whether Clinton's husband, former president Bill Clinton, and her daughter, Chelsea, will hold solo events in the campaign's early stages.

This may be the Queen Bee Campaign. The last part is, frankly, brilliant because Bill could dissuade a serial killer to skip him.

Chelsea, as unattractive as she is, has the energy and training to campaign vigorously.

Finally, my "sense" and "instincts" tell me that her health is not good and her energy levels are weak. I won't extend the Evita comparison on that one, there are rules.
