Run Hillary Run - Still an outside possibility

THANK YOU WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON!

So Evita did not lie when she told the families of the four (4) dead Americans that it was a video?

Really, and I guess that would be contingent on "what the meaning of lie is?"

It is a bit of goo:  Clinton-haters or Trump-haters are the more precise and meaningful phrases. Generic Haters also works, along with the cousins Gotcha and You People.  I have seem some presumably Republican-voting individuals state they will touch the screen for Hillary over Donald.

Is that a real cohort, do you think, Roger? Or teeny and insubstantial?  It is hard to believe that there is a hard core of Hate that will plunge the USA into a death-spiral of torment and decline beyond the failing hellhole that Mr Trump can see -- with the Hate Trump motive actually move fingers on that screen?

I tend to think that a GOP supporter who could contemplate another Clinton White House over a Trump White House might have already been half in the bag for Hillary Clinton

[....]

I mean, what is wrong with you, Reb. Someone from the Trump side of the GOP bed needs to tell you what the hell is wrong with you and the way you think.  The Hitler motif has been mirrored back onto you, you vile authoritarian-in-disguise, so I suggest dropping all those analogies. Since no one in their right mind has yet tried to psychologize your a-Trumpism as a mental defect, perhaps you in your empathetic wisdom could diagnose yourself through Their Eyes.   At least in imagination.

Be harsh. Fair but harsh. Harsh sells well in the Objectivish Universe.

What do you mean, "no one in their right mind has yet tried to psychologize your a-Trumpism as a mental defect"...? Why, MSK has done just that! Oh, wait, I get it: "no one in their right mind." You're a stealthy rascal, you are.

But gratuitous soothsaying aside, suppose I go with this (nonsensical) notion that whatever I fear the most is what I most want to achieve. You know, if I for some bizarre reason fear that Trump is going to become a totalitarian ruler, that must mean I harbor secret totalitarian urges. Well, by the same token, then, if I fear that Hillary would become a socialist dictator, that must mean I secretly want to become a socialist dictator.

So, I see your point that in being willing to "contemplate" Clinton over Trump indicates that I'm already "half in the bag for Hillary." Approximately 50%, it would seem.

So, I'll bear in mind next time I walk down a dark alley (as if!), and a shadowy figure steps into my path, my fear that he may assault and/or rob me indicates that I really, in my heart of hearts, want to assault and/or rob *him*. (OK, not to be sexist: him or her.)

This kind of fits the theory of *some* conservative and liberal types that "people are just no damned good." Not just the ones that *actually* do evil to others, but also those who have committed such things "in their hearts." (Thank you, Jimmy Carter.)

But now, here's the payoff: since (1) fearing x is really wanting to do x (MSK), and since (2) wanting to do x is just as evil as doing x (JC the POTUS and JC the SOG), therefore (3) fearing x is just as evil as doing x.

Wow, talk about unexpected consequences! Who'dathunk that simple logic, operating on such unquestionably sound premises, could take us to such an amazing conclusion!

And thank you, WSS, for nudging me into exploring this burning matter more deeply. You are truly a mid-wife of profound psychological insight.

Yeah, I think that Mexico is pretty much playing the role of Galt's Gulch these days. (The Chicago Oreo factory, auto manufacturers, who's next?)

I can just see a President Trump saying: we'll find those Striker guys and we'll build a force field to keep them out, and we'll make them pay for it by taxing them 35%. And then the Strikers reply: don't worry about it, we got it.

In today's NY Times editorial, we have a perfect example of monolithic marxist messaging.

The board of the Times has determined that it is going to be Trump vs. Evita and they began the take down immediately:

Quote

The strength of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in the Super Tuesday primary contests, evident before the first votes were cast, brings the 2016 presidential race to a point of reckoning. Not enough delegates were at stake to give either candidate a mathematical lock on a nomination, but voters can see the shape of the choice facing them in the general election.

The Republicans seem to be reeling, unable or unwilling to comprehend that a shady, bombastic liar is hardening the image of their party as a symbol of intolerance and division.

Last summer, as Mr. Trump began to rise in the polls, party leaders took umbrage at the idea that they’d have to do something to keep the nomination from the likes of him. They stood aside and said, let voters decide. Now voters are deciding. They are leaning, in unbelievable numbers, toward a man whose quest for the presidency revolves around targeting religious and racial minorities and people with disabilities, who flirts with white supremacists and the Ku Klux Klan, who ridicules and slanders those who disagree with him.

His opponents, meanwhile, have rushed to adopt his anger-filled message. It’s small wonder that Republican leaders don’t seem to know quite what to say.

“If a person wants to be the nominee of the Republican Party, there can be no evasion and no games,” House Speaker Paul Ryan said on Tuesday, after months of such games. He sounded naively unaware of the darker elements within the Republican Party, present for decades, and now holding sway: “This party does not prey on people’s prejudices. We appeal to their highest ideals. This is the party of Lincoln.”

The Republican Party is taking a big step toward becoming the party of Trump. Those who could challenge Mr. Trump — Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio — are not only to the right of Mr. Trump on many issues, but are embracing the same game of exclusion, bigotry and character assassination. That Mr. Rubio would make double entendres about the size of Mr. Trump’s hands and talk about Mr. Trump wetting his pants shows how much his influence has permeated this race and how willingly his rivals are copying his tactics.

There were opportunities to stop this, early on. Possessed of a crack team of researchers, the Republican Party did not turn its resources on investigating this man’s record of falsehoods and business failures. When struggling families worry that their children’s American dream will be obscured behind a mountain of college debt, even a passing reference to the scam that is Trump University would surely have resonated many months ago. It may now be too late to alter the course Mr. Trump has set, but Republican leaders would be derelict not to try.

On the Democratic side, Mrs. Clinton, who is pulling away in the contest with Bernie Sanders, should stick to the high ground. Say what one will about Mr. Sanders’s bid, he has run a campaign admirable in its restraint and positive ideals, no easy feat this year. Mrs. Clinton should continue to campaign on who she is and what she can do for middle-class Americans seeking leadership that reflects the best, not the worst, of political impulses.

Mr. Trump’s foul statements and shallow ideas can and should be exposed through detailed, dispassionate analysis and smart debate, approaches that would lift his opponent as they diminish him. Republicans are reaping the whirlwind right now, and Democrats should seize the chance to show Americans an alternative to Mr. Trump’s politics of rage, and an image of themselves to be proud of, not shrink from.

This is the semantic.

It is false.

However, it will be pounded through every communication platform in America.

Mark this day - Evita just lost a key rust belt state and the internal analysis of where she lost it shows how absolutely vulnerable she is in the general.

Trump will destroy her.

Her campaign actually said that they, or she, had misunderstood the electorate!  Or, words to that effect.

The DNC shill, Donna Brazil Nut, said something that stunned me.

The official black female shill explained that Northern African American voters, vote differently than Southern African American voters.  She was trying to explain why Evita won Mississippi with an immense landslide powered by 80% of the black vote and lost Michigan because she did not get it and the turnout of that black Michigan vote did not appear.

So Brazil Nut said, "You can't pander to Northern black voters!"

That is a Trump ad to run all over the South in the general election.

Real bad night for Evita.

Wonder whether her aphasia will erupt tonight when she "debates" the Socialist.

If she gets nasty and shrieky the collapse will continue.

I saw the ad this article refers to on tv last night. She makes me want to puke. The alleged victim, too.

The ad is nothing more than an appeal to ignorance and raw emotion. Inconvenient facts be damned!

Evading such facts is dishonest. But I don't expect BS will pounce on Bobblehead's dishonesty in a counter-ad.

It's a remark to highlight all over the place.  It's so revealing of the patronizing attitude of the "protectors."

"The Protectors" would be a good title for an exposé, or a novel exploring the mentality.

One thing I'm grateful to Hillary for... we've all been mercifully spared the fainting (think Barry's early stump speeches) by members of her audience, you know, those in utter ecstasy of being in the Messiah's presence. Phew. Couldn't bear to watch that dog and pony show again. -J

Evita's "Negro" problem...

The number of African-Americans who voted in Tuesday’s primaries plummeted by an estimated 40 percent in Ohio, 38 percent in Florida and 34 percent in North Carolina compared with the 2008 Democratic primary when Barack Obama was on the ballot, reported the advocacy group Black Votes Matter.
