Milo is now Ex-Gay There are very few people in the culture who can move the Overton Window in a short amount of time. Milo Yiannopoulos is one of them. Love him or hate him, you can't ignore him. at least not forever. What's his formula? He feeds on the outrage buttons of the control freaks in our society. He finds a position on a topic that causes the most outrage in a woke control freak, thus generates the most power for said control freak, then skewers it by not only agreeing with the forbidden position, but adds to it by including angles nobody thought of yet. Then he creatively and ruthlessly mocks the control freak. The result is that the control freak goes way over the top in outrage and becomes ridiculous, becomes a caricature. And that makes people no longer afraid to discuss the forbidden topic. They see the barking dog has no teeth. Then the Overton Window shifts toward more freedom of speech. There's another thing about Milo. Due to a massive cancel campaign, he has faded from the mainstream. As a trickster archetype, that is a lonely place to be. So it's reasonable to assume he wants back in front of mainstream taboo-busting, especially targeting leftwing control freaks. Well, he found a doozy of a way to do that. Read this article. It says it all. Activist Milo Yiannopoulos is now ‘Ex-Gay,’ consecrating his life to St. Joseph The article is an interview. Below are a few excerpts from only Milo's part. That'll do 'er... Here's another article showing Milo's technique (albeit, the author doesn't frame it that way). Milo comes out as straight, chaste and Catholic So there it is. I think Milo will be coming back into the mainstream with this. Not 100% sure, but it would surprise me if he doesn't. And what am I going to do? Discuss the merits and substance of conversion therapy and that kind of stuff? Hell no. I've got no dog in that fight other than backing freedom of speech. I admit, I favor the upcoming shift in the Overton Window toward more freedom. As to the rest, it's irrelevant to my life. But I am going to enjoy the show. With gusto. I love seeing sanctimonious control freaks and melodramatic victimization barfs get turned into cartoon pretzels of outrage. Besides, as the lady who wrote the article said, Milo is funny. Michael
