  1. I started thinking about Bill Gates and others who Do the Right Thing and then subvert what they just did. So I searched the letters “surviv” OPAR, PAGE 405: "As a rule, the defenders of capitalism have been worse - more openly irrational - than its attackers. The man who spread the notion that Capitalism means death for the weak was the system's leading 19th century champion, Herbert Spencer; Capitalism, he held, permits only the "survival of the fittest." This is the conclusion Spencer reached by attempting to deduce Capitalism from the intellectual fad of the period, Darwin's theory o
  2. Hotmail and other Gates inspired software have revolutionized the world. Think of all the celebrities you have admired who were goofy in other aspects of their lives. Carl Sagan for example was for a more socialistic, totalitarian form of government. How can they use science and rationality in much of their lives . . . and then depart reality?
  3. An internet story today said the covid vaccine should also cure the common cold. I watched some of the Bob Woodward episode on Sixty Minutes. His claim is that President Trump downplayed the virus to not cause a panic. Yet, in spite of the self isolation and mandatory wearing of masks, people in general have not panicked. But Bob wants to sell his derogatory book and keep Trump from being reelected, so his consciousness "forces" him to plug, plug, plug. Many restaurants around here are open with limited capacity but you must wear a mask up until you start eating. I went to get two fried
  4. A medical doctor said tonight January 2021 may be the month we may have a vaccine. Like Michael, I may sit it out and wait to see the outcomes. But four more months of quarantine? Caaaarap.
  5. Dg wrote, “The connections drawn within conspiracy theories may be wrong, but the existence of connections is not imagined. People, events and ideas throughout history are connected.” What is disheartening is people connecting the dots between portions of reality, but not in a scientific way. In a biased way their minds psychologically “prove” something that is untrue but agrees with a “feeling” or prejudice they have already established. Those hunches, like a slow moving storm in the Gulf of Mexico, gather momentum and become hurricanes of malice.
  6. Rasmussen. Friday, September 11, 2020. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove. The latest figures include 38% who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 45% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -7. From Real Clear Politics. USA Today / Suffolk Trump + 4. Rasmussen Trump +4. Emerson Trump +2. All the other polls show Biden leading. 7. Interesting. Rand Paul is not suffering from TDS! Glory-ana. Hallelujah! From Rand Paul to my email. Young Americans for liberty. Patriot, there is a secret political revolution taking place in our country that you may not have heard about… No, it’s not Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her band of radical socialists trying to overthrow our country and destroy the Constitution. This is a revolution in favor of free-market capitalism, civil liberties, the Second Amendment, limited government, and the ideas of our Founding Fathers… Young Americans for Liberty is restoring our Republic and
  8. TMJ. It’s a part of history. In Disney’s live action movie, “Song of the South,” "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" won an Oscar for Best Original song.
  9. Dg wrote: “And notice when this started to happen? About the time those kids who learned about black people from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air grew up (had money).” Well said. I think that portrayals that do not face, and mirror reality can be harmful to the culture and harmful to law enforcement.
  10. On his currently locked blog William Scherk asked, "What Happens if Biden Wins." I think he is about as political and liberal as Obama. There would just be a gradual leftist slant to ruling class power structures. He will be 78 if he is inaugurated and I don’t think he is very competent, though not incompetent, mentally. If he does become incapacitated Kamala Lala will become President and she is much more “California radical,” perhaps as much as Bernie Sanders. I think the American economy will decline and our standing and power out in the real world will lessen especially if she reigns.
  11. I saw CCR in California and I think in Salisbury, MD ten years ago. I mentioned before how some of the concert goers at Fillmore West were stoned and started chanting "Creedence Water, Creedence Water," instead of their complete name, and the group was not amused.
  12. Dg wrote, “The event and the sport are not what I'm talking about, it's how the (white) public views black people.” Another interesting aspect of racism and “discrimination” is how police officers of all races view the “on the job” differences in races. They know that per capita, blacks are four times more likely to commit crimes than whites. Per capita, black incarceration rates are much greater and it may be more difficult for a police officer to peacefully arrest a black person. “Beat officers” know this from daily contacts with citizens of all races. So . . . should police offic
  13. The usual place I donate is at: contact@victory.donaldtrump.com However, there is another site that also accepts donations, MAY more directly go to the President, and they sell Trump clothing, hats, signs, etc., and that site is: https://www.donaldjtrump.com/ NOTES. Trump campaign warns supporters about scam groups, says to donate to these four organizations May 7, 2019 | Zachary Leeman. The Trump campaign also gave supporters four approved groups to donate to when supporting the president: the RNC, the Trump Make America Great Again Committee, Trump Victory and Am
  14. "Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the boisterous sea of liberty." -- Thomas Jefferson Just one more compilation? I went looking for quotes from Objectivists and fans of Rand that mention Thomas Jefferson. Peter Excerpt from Objectivism and Rage by Barbara Branden, A lecture presented at the TAS 2006 Summer Seminar, July 4, 2006, Chapman University, Orange, CA. One cannot avoid recognizing that we live in a very angry age. At one time, people spoke to “My worthy opponent” when addressing someone who disagreed with their views. That attitude of respecting differences has long
  15. After praising the British mid-18th Century politics depicted on “Victoria,” I looked for some historically oriented letters about American politics and I found a few by Ghs and one by Gregory Wharton about pre-Victorian but post- Revolutionary War America. I get a kick out of the shouting and finger pointing in the British House of Commons and The House of Lords but I bet our Legislature and Senate at that time were about the same in spirit. TMJ wrote: “We could use a little FDR, "all we have to fear is fear itself", it seems risk aversion is the plague de jure.” My parents thought FDR was wonderful, and from history, he did have his shining moments. I just think his socialistic actions were misguided and prolonged The Great Depression. Peter
  17. As reported by Fauci, I see one major vaccine trial has ceased because of side affects. It sounded like he said Astra Zeneca but I am not sure of the spelling.
  18. In Pennsylvania the race is tied with Biden and Trump each at 46. And I read that a double digit (15 percent?) of “strong” Trump supports will not advertise that fact. In my neck of the woods for miles around, there are a lot of Trump 2020 yard signs, but NOT ONE Biden sign. Once again local talk radio is very pissed about the Biden family’s monetary ties to Communist China and "Why can’t people see the Biden’s are traitorous?" 19. Tony wrote: I cannot believe how close is America for ideological takeover, in large part because of the good will and sympathy of Americans. Who else knows that benevolence and self-sacrifice are mutually exclusive, outside of Objectivism? And even there... end quote I don’t think so. Not even if Biden and “Kamalamala ding dong” are elected and Joe dies and she becomes President, America has a solid Constitution. I would even say our leftist party of Progressives called the Democrats contains a high percentage of patriots and decent union members and would not swallow the tripe of sendi
  20. To get rid of the prejudice in pro basketball we need to have racial quotas with more short, Asian guys given their rightful spots on the teams.
  21. ThatGuy wrote, “(My accusation has legs, because it IS plausible, in my opinion...)” Propaganda must sound plausible to be first accepted but remember how that first twist of a thought builds and morphs into a larger, corrupted version of the truth, as with the Hollywood left and Communism. To this day, how many generations of “stars” think socialism or communism is the best system for social justice? And, of course, they will be the elite in charge and get to keep their loot and fame along with Kamala and Chicken Joe. Peter A quote from “The Problem of Induction” by Carl Popper: W
  22. Was President Trump griping or tired William, and Fox News lady? I think I have understood a few new clues. The fake news story about President Trump calling America’s war dead “losers” is a combination of what he did say about John McCain and things Alec Baldwin portraying President Trump. says on Saturday Night Live. “Losers!” Their propaganda won’t work now or ever. 23. Beebe, a local hospital has reported zero new cases in the last 24 hours. The staff was overwhelmed but now they can go home and relax and not work horribly long shifts.
  24. Wonderful. I kept looking for a boom box that supplied the music but I did not see one.
