  1. All crimes. Can you tell me how to getta way wit it?
  2. Luke Skywalker, my advice is to go south where it is warmer but stay away from places that get damaged by hurricanes, winter snow storms, or flooding. If you build on stilt pilings you would need to walk up and down stairs every day. I have to go down three steps and even that is an annoyance.
  3. I ordered a Trump sign off of Amazon and it was easy. I think it was around 14 bucks with free shipping. I tried to get a Trump / Maryland Representative Andy Harris sign and I could not order one, even though I have seen them on the road. Weird. I even called the local RNC in Ocean Pines, Maryland and that number is no longer in use. Maybe they all came down with the creepy Covid-19? I have not yet received my write in voting card in the mail, though I asked for one a couple of weeks ago. If I don't get one, I will vote in person. The first debate is Tuesday.
  4. Going to the dump in a predominantly black neighborhood in Berlin Maryland, for the first time in my life, I saw two Biden signs. In my rural area there are four Trump signs on the two roads I travel, including one just across the road from my house. I am thinking about getting one and I still may do that.
  5. Ohio by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Tin soldiers and Nixon's coming We're finally on our own This summer I hear the drumming Four dead in Ohio Gotta get down to it Soldiers are cutting us down Should have been done long ago What if you knew her And found her dead on the ground? How can you run when you know? Gotta get down to it Soldiers are cutting us down Should have been done long ago What if you knew her And found her dead on the ground How can you run when you know? Tin soldiers and Nixon's coming We're finally on our own This summer
  6. How would OL’s esteemed contributors arrange the election? Is this a solution? If voters are sending in a mail-in ballot, it must be received, verified, and counted, by Friday, October 30, 2020, which is just about a month away. On the following Tuesday, November 3, 2020 it will be walk in voting day. Then the previously counted and verified mail-in ballots will be added to the walk in votes. That count will be verified by each state within two weeks, which is Tuesday November 17, 2020. The vote may be contested but by December 1, 2020 the Supreme Court will give their opinion and the candidat
  7. Rush Limbaugh was speculating that Joe Biden is a “sundowner.” From Web MD. When you are with someone who has Alzheimer's disease, you may notice big changes in how they act in the late afternoon or early evening. Doctors call it sundowning, or sundown syndrome. Fading light seems to be the trigger. The symptoms can get worse as the night goes on and usually get better by morning. Although you may not be able to stop it completely, you can take steps to help manage this challenging time of day so you both sleep better and are less tired during the day. Let your loved one’s doctor know wha
  8. Wait a minute. I think I read that paragraph in the Reader's Digest! Very funny Trans Mountain Journey!
  9. “Neil deGrasse Tyson hosts ‘Cosmos: Possible Worlds.’” It was a two hour show and I watched the first hour. It was very good. The second hour began with a discussion of the history of religion among the human species and that bored me. Persians – Zoroaster yadda yadda yadda and Neil droning on and on. A discussion of 10,000 gods simply means making crap up that many times and getting someone else to believe your BS. History is not so interesting if all you discuss is made up BS. I will watch the next installment.
  10. It's like taking the ferry to Cape May to work your way to Atlantic City on a windy, rocky day.
  11. I can imagine you singing, Soft kitty, Warm kitty . . . I think I have used that quote before. Let me quote another one. From “The Gorilla Experiment” (Season 3) Penny is upset because she feels she isn’t smart enough for Leonard. Sheldon: Why are you crying? Penny: Because I’m stupid! Sheldon: That’s no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.
  12. Oh come on. You know the Democratic logo is a jackass, not a monkey . . .
  13. Just how smart are you? "Fine mess" brings back Laurel and Hardy.
  14. Skullfully done Michalobe. One more post? Can anyone make a sentence or two out of these clashing, oxymoronic phrases? Fine mess. Terribly nice. Pretty ugly. Small crowd. Found missing. Bird dog. Accidentally on purpose. Bad sport. Jumbo shrimp. Paid volunteer. Plastic silverware. Preliminary conclusion. Tragic comedy. It was pretty ugly. A small crowd outside Senator Graham’s house, though terribly nice I am sure, was found missing with empty tranquilizer darts all over the ground.
  15. Senator Rand Paul: The constitution says the President nominates, and the Senate gives its advice and consent for the Supreme Court. That's exactly what President Trump says he's going to do, and I stand with him. We should not let a divided 4-4 court go into a very close election. We should not let the other side scream and holler and hold their breath. We should act expeditiously to fill this Supreme Court seat! Justice Dept. Brands NYC an ‘Anarchist Jurisdiction,’ Targets Federal Funds. “New York City was among three cities labeled ‘anarchist jurisdictions’ by the Justice Department on
  16. From Rasmussen – Tuesday, September 22, 2020. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday, sponsored by Whatfinger News – The largest Drudge Report alternative, shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove.
  17. Lindsey Graham: Yesterday morning, a mob of protesters screamed, blared horns, and pounded on the front door of my house in Washington because I dared to say that the Senate should do something that has been done many times before: appoint a Supreme Court Justice in an election year. Welcome to “Wild Cities” from PBS featuring the narration of George Page, Stu Irwin, Sigourney Weaver, and David Attenborough. If they can invent a way to knock out an elephant with a dart, why not knock out the Antifa types with darts? Tear gas shouldn’t be used if it will harm or bother an innocent bystand
  18. Both of the following two Supreme Court candidates appear to be “young” and nice looking. Barbara Lagoa could play the “ethnicity card” too. I see President Trump has already met with Judge Barret. Peter ABC News. President Donald Trump met Monday with Amy Coney Barrett, a conservative federal appeals court judge seen as the top contender to be his choice to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, ABC News has confirmed. From The BBC. Barbara Lagoa: A Cuban-American born in Miami, she was the first Hispanic judge on the Florida Supreme Court. If nominated and then confirmed by the Sena
  19. From Bing and other areas of the web. Republicans hold a 53-seat majority in the Senate. Democrats have 45. There are two independents -- Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Sen. Angus King of Maine . . . . Who are the Republican Senators who may not vote for Trump’s pick for Justice? Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, Mitt Romney of Utah, and Charles E. Grassley of Iowa . . . . If enough Republican senators refuse to vote to confirm a nominee so close to the election, McConnell will not be able to hold a confirmation vote. GOP senators in states with moderate voters may not wish
  20. This could really harm the election. Trump Declares Guns N’ Roses’ “November Rain” The Greatest Music Video Of All Time by Ryan Leas @ryanleas | September 14, 2020 - 8:17 pm I don’t get it. Therapist. What don’t you get Forrest? Well. The video starts out with that guy Axel taking drugs and drinking alcohol. Therapist. Uh huh. And then he gets married. Therapist. Go on. Then she dies. Therapist. Oh my, Forrest. . . . And they bury her. Therapist. That doesn’t sound good Forrest. And the guitar player is in a weird, wind storm and his
  21. Brant wrote: Don't these fools understand that when their usefulness has dissipated they will be dissipated? The law will crush them or the incoming rulers. end quote Incoming? Why wait. I think there is sufficient proof to call the “on and on and on” rioters terrorists. Burning houses or businesses down for political reasons turns arson into terrorism, and any deaths or injuries incurred add to the felonies. Peaceful protest is always allowed even with bullhorns and a lot of yelling. But I am sick of the terrorism. I want to see it stop, President Trump. Will it stop if Biden is elected
  22. How many Senators are there? 100. What would a majority be to pass a nominee? 51, THANKS TO THE DEMOCRATS! See the above. Peter Notes. From Todays, New York Times. How Mitch McConnell Can Quickly Push Through Trump’s Supreme Court Nominee. The rules and partisan breakdown of the Senate make it possible for Republicans to swiftly confirm President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee. Here’s how. WASHINGTON — Hours after the Supreme Court announced the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Friday, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader, vowed that the Senate would vote on a r
  23. I suppose you might meet someone at a fan-of-Rand meeting like on a campus but no where else. I remember dating and found most people could care less about Ayn Rand's philosophy, even if they had read a book or two of hers. Their eyes may not have glazed over but I found that I bored her. If you start with a shared interest in "a hobby" the relationship is not built on much. There are aspects of a relationship based on more substantial, personal things than things from a book or a philosophy. Of course I would not recommend socializing with a Marxist, but just because you met person who ment
  24. Maybe Biden is like Typhoid Mary and passing on the Virus to all the journalists he does a face to face interview with . . . so every interview is by phone camera. It is interesting how some phone / camera interviews and news stories are OK visually and some make you seasick.
  25. Here are some contradictory statements from former Vice President Joe Biden, just weeks apart. Which statement is a lie? From the Daily Wire: a reporter asked, “Some have speculated that you are subject to some degree of cognitive decline,” the reporter said. “I’m 65, I don’t have word recollection that I used to have, I forget my train of thought from time to time. You got 12 years on me, sir . . . . Have you been tested for some degree of cognitive decline?” the reporter asked. “I’ve been tested and I’m constantly tested,” Biden responded. “Look, all you got to do is watch me, and
