  1. An interesting quote from “Imperium,” by Robert Harris: Cicero is speaking: “Sometimes, if you find yourself stuck in politics, the thing to do is start a fight – start a fight, even if you do not know how you are going to win it, because it is only when a fight is on, and everything is in motion, that you can hope to see your way through.” I like the Italian's name for Covid-19. The Black Death. "Put'em up. Put'em up," said The Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz.
  2. I had a heck of a time cutting and pasting from RCP. 270 electoral votes are required to win the Presidency. Peter Real Clear Politics Electoral College predictions as of today, October 5, 2020. 226 for Biden 187 tossups 125 for Trump Toss up states as of today Pennsylvania (20) Iowa (6) Florida (29) Nevada (6) Wisconsin (10) Arizona (11) Michigan (16) Texas (38) Ohio (18) Maine CD2 (1) North Carolina (15) Nebraska CD2 (1) Georgia (16)
  3. I hope you are right, That Guy. Follow the polls with skepticism but as Michael said? when there is a week to go . . . pay attention to the evidence. Peter From Bing. Reagan won the election by an electoral margin of 489-49 and captured almost 51 percent of the popular vote. At age 69, he was the oldest person elected to the U.S. presidency. Joe Biden’s Age: He Would Be the Oldest President . . . How old is Joe Biden? He was born on November 20, 1942. That makes him 76-years-old in April 2019. It also means that he would be 78-years-old on inauguration day if he were to win the pres
  4. Is it Halloween yet? What is a Grimm you ask? It’s a hero who fights the supernatural beasts of the world. Kayleigh McEnany the pretty blond spokes lady has tested positive, and President Trump nearly apologized for something . . . but what was it . . . saying he has learned a lot about Covid-19 in the last few days. It’s 29 days to the election on November 3, 2020 and things are looking “Grimm.” Up until recently several polls showed a near tie for the popular vote. But Biden was ‘awoke’ after the debate and winning the Electoral College easily. Now, dear viewers, we need to sharpen our epis
  5. The Italians, after a resurgence of the plague, are calling it The Black Death. edit. And the French are closing all bars. Now is not the time to become complacent or do risky things. Stay safe. Survive and hunker down a bit longer.
  6. I see there was a button to reveal hidden contents at the bottom of William’s letter. Ugh. That Romulan Kamala needs a cloaking device.
  7. I doubt it. TDS. Neo-Communism. Kamala, Cortes, Bernie. Biden. I doubt it.
  8. Multiply devotion times electoral votes. And I must add, I would cry if he died. When Reagan was President so many fans of Rand going back to my days at UVA . . . were so derisive about Ronald, it made my blood boil.
  9. I need some dark humor and the coronavirus may not be as bad as what happened to President Ronald Reagan. From Time. When President Ronald Reagan was shot on this day, March 30, in 1981, it was anything but funny. The assassination attempt by John W. Hinckley Jr. required the President to undergo surgery and seriously wounded three others. But Reagan knew it was also important to convey to the country that he was going to be OK. And — before he was told that others had been injured — he knew that humor could get that message across, perhaps better than any other official reassurance. Acco
  10. From Rasmussen. Friday, October 02, 2020. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday, sponsored by Whatfinger News shows that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) disapprove. That negative approval stat is not good, but wow, this thread is huge. I wrote this before scanning the last 20 hours of this thread so I may be saying what others have said. I saw some Senators and Kellyanne Conway have come down with it and contact tracing is going on but the more cases there are, the harder it is to trace, per Doc
  11. From Associated Press. The Latest: Source: Trump got oxygen Friday at White House Oct. 3, 2020 Updated: Oct. 3, 2020 10:07 a.m. MAY 14, 2020 Brian C. Kalt Professor of law at Michigan State University quote, from The Atlantic: The Very Real Problem of Both Trump and Pence Getting COVID-19 at the Same Time? If the president and the vice president become incapacitated simultaneously, the country could face a constitutional crisis. From Explore Health . . . . How long does it take to recover? The COVID-19 recovery period depends on the severity of the illness. If you have a mild case, y
  12. Fox is wondering if President Trump should “address the nation” about his and Melania’s (age 51, and lookin’ good) diagnoses. He already is informing us through the internet. I have no problem with that continuing. What if the first family starts to look ill? What if he coughs on camera? How does that help? Reportedly, some of his “aides” want to show the world and America, that government is still functioning at 100 percent . . . But the President has no intentions to do more at this time. And he is being transparent. We just can’t watch our President when he is feeling ill. Well, I have see
  13. This may have been covered but here I go anyway. To be fair, there was ONE time I think President Trump recited something he memorized but that was it. Biden continually spouted memorized speech segments. Chris Wallace was tougher on Trump but our President was a bit rowdy. Yet, it was hypocritical of Chris Wallace to state he wanted to be invisible and then to defend Biden. What would his Dad Mike Wallace think of his performance and fairness? Other take-away’s from the first debate are that I think President Trump despises former Vice President Biden. President Trump has no respect fo
  14. From The New York Times Sunday Crossword Puzzle. Question. What do you call an unlicensed anesthesiologist? Seven letters. If I hadn’t gotten some of the letters from the answers going the other way I would never have gotten the answer. The answer was: Sandman. Peter
  15. I suggested using the web address below instead of my usual donation site, but I suggest sticking with contact@victory.donaldtrump.com The one below took my donation but it said it was recurring which it is not. It is a pain. And you can't get a hold of them. My donation was for 35 bucks so i hope he gets it. Peter From Microsoft. 16. If Biden was being "directed and assisted" during the debate who was doing it? My first guess would be a CIA type set up the sound system but Jill Biden could have been the voice on the wire.
  17. Biden kept looking straight into the camera and every time he did, he was reciting a prepared speech. When he used his hands for emphasis, he was reciting. He started looking straight at Chris Wallace and recited after someone told him to stop looking straight into the camera and look at Chris. I assumed someone in the audience cued him with “a sound” but it looks like he was wearing a wire too.
  18. I was joking that you, who seem very interested, would be voting in our election. Of course I have not heard you mention that you have that double citizenship. How would that happen? Born in Canada and moved here, born in the U.S. and move to Canada, born in Canada to American parents, etc.? edit. And you mentioned "high marks for managing Covid-19." What is the local government doing? We have to wear masks in stores, and on the OC boardwalk, dining "numbers" are restricted, etc. We just had an unsanctioned H2O car rally in Ocean City, Maryland and it was a mess, with a lot of arrests.
  19. Thanks for the info, William. Ever been to Queen Charlotte's Island in British Columbia? It looks interesting. I was showing my wife where Harry and Meghan were on Vancouver Island before they moved to LA, and I saw this other island a bit further north which also has a native Indian name now. I sent in an official request for a mail in ballot, which I have not received. If I don't get it, I will walk in and vote. They are going to have "strict protocols," . . . wearing a mask, only a few in the fire hall at any time, distancing, sanitizers, etc. I am still avoiding places with a lot of
  20. William? Who are you going to vote for? Since you are from Canada, I guess your vote will be a right-in. But, let’s not miss talking about yesterday’s debate. Transcript. Chris Wallace: According to the Washington Post, I plan on being very nearly invisible tonight, so let the debate being. Please introduce yourselves. President Trump: Everybody knows who I am. Good evening, America. Former Vice President Biden: HI. I’m Joe Biden. And I am the next President of these United States. President Trump: Joe, your zipper is down. Former Vice President Biden: No, it’s not.
  21. Nice climate. Most like the lower 48 American states. They speak plain English. If I moved to Canada I would live in BC.
  22. All crimes. Can you tell me how to getta way wit it?
  23. Luke Skywalker, my advice is to go south where it is warmer but stay away from places that get damaged by hurricanes, winter snow storms, or flooding. If you build on stilt pilings you would need to walk up and down stairs every day. I have to go down three steps and even that is an annoyance.
  24. I ordered a Trump sign off of Amazon and it was easy. I think it was around 14 bucks with free shipping. I tried to get a Trump / Maryland Representative Andy Harris sign and I could not order one, even though I have seen them on the road. Weird. I even called the local RNC in Ocean Pines, Maryland and that number is no longer in use. Maybe they all came down with the creepy Covid-19? I have not yet received my write in voting card in the mail, though I asked for one a couple of weeks ago. If I don't get one, I will vote in person. The first debate is Tuesday.
  25. Going to the dump in a predominantly black neighborhood in Berlin Maryland, for the first time in my life, I saw two Biden signs. In my rural area there are four Trump signs on the two roads I travel, including one just across the road from my house. I am thinking about getting one and I still may do that.
