  1. You should post this as a topic! We need discussion that doesn't pertain to Victor.

    Mitchell, people love soap operas.

Y'all want it removed, but y'all are looking at it too. Train wreck?
  4. Welcome, Tom! I would recommend every Rand book. Which Branden books would you recommend most?
  5. I'm glad somebody else got a great laugh at those rules! Very funny!
  6. Nah, the correct thing to say would've been: If you're dating me, you must value me (otherwise you don't value yourself), and if you value me and yourself, you will give me a blowjob. It's only rational. Kyrel, you're from Gotham City, eh? I'm jealous. You've got the protection of the amazing Batman. He's by far the greatest superhero of all time.

Oh shit! Steve Reed. I apologize. *blushes* *steps awkwardly out of thread* EDIT: *steps a bit less awkwardly back into thread* Michael, here's a li'l suttin' suttin' for ya.
  9. ^I'll never give a blow job the same way again.
  10. Ahhh, niiiiiice! I LOLed especially at the end. PS: Thanks for bringing some laughs to OL during this time of witch burning. I'd much rather laugh than go on a manhunt.
  11. I thought Al Gore was the best hope America has. "You guys don't take me therial!"
  12. This is so cool! Virtual Barber Shop...you MUST USE HEADPHONES for it to work. Here's an article about it, which contains the video: Sends Shivers Down My Spine And here's the direct link to the youtube vid: Trippy...

    I feel ya, Steve Reed.
  14. None of those fellows...it was ME. I say it on a daily basis. Sometimes I like to spice things up and throw an F bomb in there instead. Here are some good ones: "I'm afraid sometimes you'll play lonely games too, games you can't win because you'll play against you." - Dr. Seuss (Also, the other quotes in my sig) "He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying." - Nietzsche "...But when nothing happens you wince, and the impact makes you glad you exist, Sadness desists and you miss your family/friends. As you reexamine your presence, the apathy lifts, Knowing that in the face of death, you found passion to live. There's an equal amount of life within a last gasp and a first breath. No matter how hard it gets, no one truly prefers death, And if the hurt ends, you're sure blessed. Remember the determination of your first step And keep walking." - Tonedeff "...Amazing how pricks can miss your skin, yet pierce your soul." - Tonedeff
  15. Happy Birthday, dude! Hope you have many more clever postings on OL.
  16. Here's a video just so you can get some info on what this dealio is before you watch the parody (ya don't gotta watch it all to get a feel for what it is): Now for the parody: "Take that, Apple."
  17. WTF is Goth anyway?! I think, honestly, that it's a stupid label...nobody can really define what it is. Even if they could...ick to it all (the label, that is)! I've been called "Goth" before and I don't even know what that is. Based on my evaluation of the other people that I've heard called "Goth", I am nowhere near that! I guess being quiet when you're not talked to and wearing a black T-shirt from time to time qualifies one as "Goth"? I mean, I smile a lot...like...a LOT...but the second I'm just focusing on something and not grinning from ear to ear people are like, "What's wrong? What's wrong with you, you Goth freak?" WTF! Do I have to be smiling every second of the day? Gawd...give it a rest, wouldja? I am me. *ENDRANT*
  18. ^I agree with that to a degree, Judith. Certain age groups of children are learning similar things and should be grouped that way (not sure if 'grouped' is the wisest word here) sometimes, but they should also be given a chance to interact with people of all ages. I remember being a child and being in awe of all the 'grown-ups'. I had hardly any interaction with the other age groups. "When you're big you just miss how you lived and when you're a kid you just wish you were big." (I can see how "...children of their own age" could be implied in that statement, but it wasn't really that specific.)
  19. I'm impressed by the technology, but also think that it's really absurd. You wouldn't have to exercise your fingers on those dreadful buttons if you'd just turn off the TV. That only takes one click. Hey, what if you were thinking about changing the channel as soon as the commercials came on and it changed the channel prematurely? What a travesty that would be.
  20. ^I just crapped from laughing. All heil Jackson Pollock! Not to derail this thread or anything, but this is hilarious:
  21. Ah, I see. Fire-blown makes it even cooler...I mean...hotter. Don't get heat damage, Jonathan. It's hell.
  22. Ah...never saw that movie. LOL. I'm so used to people having their pics up on OL that I think of that avatar as you and, well, you've got beautiful windblown hair, Jonathan.
  23. Squirrelly Girl? I rather like that nickname. I am not disgusted either (not by a long shot). I'm not saying that somebody out there couldn't relate to it, but rather that many people will/do not relate to it. To me, Gjertson's work is just nothing new, ya know? It's like, "Okay, I've seen that before...what else ya got, eh?" EDIT: Jonathan, who is that in your avatar? I've been curious for a long time.
  24. You said it, brotha! This is exactly why I don't enjoy Gjertson's or Rockwell's kind of art. I can't really relate to having my daddy tuck me and my sis into bed whilst my mommy dearest watches with a concerned look on her face. I can, however relate to Jackson Pollock. My, oh my! If his stuff isn't a selective recreation of reality, then I just don't know what is.
