  1. 'Least you're not vomiting up some fettuccine alfredo. Happy St. Pats day after, folksies.
  2. LOL, I used to joke with my friends about doing that.
  3. The link up there is not working for me. That episode of Friends is hilarious. We were just discussing it in my Ethics class not too long ago, actually. One of my faves, by far. It's hilarious when Phoebe is saying how she tried to sneak up to an old man's doorstep and rake the leaves or whatever and he "practically forcefed me milk and cookies!" Hahaha. Or when she lets a bee sting her so that it can look tough in front of its bee friends, and Chandler says, "You know the bee probably died, right?" LOL! And then finally when she donates the money to PBS and it gets Joey some camera time and she says, "Oh, my donation is what helped Joey get on camera...Oh, I feel so good! Oh no!!" Anyhow, people in my ethics class were hard pressed to find an unselfish act. I don't understand why they's like, "Oh no! I wouldn't want to be considered selfish, that's baa-a-a-ad!" Heehee.
  4. I was re-reading A Raisin in the Sun tonight and I came across this gem on page 39. BENEATHA: "Mama, you don't understand. It's all a matter of ideas, and God is just one idea I don't accept. It's not important. I am not going out and be immoral or commit crimes because I don't believe in God. I don't even think about it. It's just that I get tired of Him getting credit for all the things the human race achieves through its own stubborn effort. There simply is no blasted God--there is only man and it is he who makes miracles!" A new version of A Raisin in the Sun will be airing tomorrow night on ABC.
  5. Michael, Good for robbing banks, perhaps, but ninjas rock a lot harder than robbers. *Respect the Wu-Tang!*
  6. Not to quibble, could you remind me what those good things are? Thanks, W. *coughs* *points to herself* *points at Objectivist Living* *points at New England Patriots* *points at Texas* Oh, and not to mention:
  7. As I said before... *RAISES THE ROOF FOR AYN RAND* Maybe I can have a mixture of an Ayn Rand/Super Bowl party tomorrow. Let's all eat pizza! I'm buyin'!
  8. Aww, ya beat me to it. Happy Birthday, William! You do rock, indeed.
  9. Monty Python-The Philosopher Song The authors of Aristotle and an Aardvark also wrote "Plato and a Platypus", which I just bought but haven't read yet. Didn't know about those other books. Thanks, Chris!
  10. Or just somebody I really wanna meet! Camels are so cool!
  11. Thanks for these, Michael. I'm going to be starting school again soon and am hoping to straighten myself up this semester. I really need to start some good habits so that I can do well. Reading it upside down is an interesting method, but I think I can read just about as fast a normal even when it's upside down. Having someone else read it is definitely a good idea, because of course everything in your paper makes sense to wrote it! Also, I've found that you really need to write papers in advance so that you can put them down for a while and reread them later. If you get it out of your mind for a while and then reread you will see a lot of errors you missed. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten this one down just yet. I'm the all-nighter queen.
  12. Ange, that's some crazy You'd definitely think they'd remember the day. Then again, I can barely remember what I ate yesterday. Shit, this month alone I've missed almost all of my guitar lessons and almost another appointment. Agh, anyhow, glad your day was good and I hope you ate the mini burgers at Denny's. YUMMMMM!
  13. Happy Birthday, you wench! I didn't forget it this year and I'm glad I got to be the one to make the thread. I hope you have an awesome day and that for every shitty thing that happens, 100 more good things happen. You rock, homeskillet. (I would make all kinds of smilies in this thread, but I'm at work and for some reason they don't work here.)
  14. Glad there's no blood on the floor, or my shoes would be ruined! Happy Holidays, everyone (even you, Mr. Scrooge)! I don't know about y'all, but I'm celebrating the end of the semester. Woot! Thanks, Kat and Michael. You rock. B)
  15. Awwwwwesome. LOL. I love Chuck Norris. Here are some facts about him: On my ballot, I'm just gonna write 'Chuck Norris'.
  16. You godda be a complete 'tard to fall for this junk. Bots are so, don't be givin' out your digits...for god's sake, man. I love those chat bots, personally. They're uber charming and they really know how to rev a gal up. *bowchiccawowwow*
  17. Oh, I believe you guys are mistaken about How the Grinch Stole Christmas. <--- The 1966 version is where it's much as I love Jim Carrey. I feel like renting this one again. I just might. Another one I watch every year is The Nightmare Before Christmas. One of my favorites ever. I'm not big on Christmas movies, so those really are about the only ones I've seen. Unless Home Alone counts? I love that movie too. I need to go to Blockbuster. Oh, and don't forget Arnold's Christmas classic...JINGLE ALL ZE VAY!!!!!
  18. 101 years, thank you very much! Happy Birthday, Kat!
  19. Haha, I know! That's the only reason I like that song, because it reminds me of that scene. It's called "Still" by the Geto Boys, just in case you wanna download it and blast it in your workplace.
  20. Hah, those are pretty funny...I can totally empathize. I'm a receptionist/office biotch and have therefore had my share of frustrations with the equipment. Gah! Reminds me of my favorite scene from the movie Office Space where they destroy the Copier.
  21. Congrats, dude! Good luck on the MBE. I enjoy my sanity too much to keep studying. Heeheehee.
