What doesn't makes sense to me is suggesting that you are deranged.

William,

One of the blessings of the English language is the richness of interpretation.

Hillary Derangement Syndrome could mean the person targeted is deranged, or it could mean Hillary is deranged.

Okay, I will provisionally add that gloss to my mental concept. If you accept the diagnosis of Clinton Derangement Syndrome, its not only that you are deranged at times in your anti-Clinton rhetoric, but also that the candidate herself is deranged. It makes a bit more sense now that you take that on.

btw - I'm confused about Adam's thing, too. I would peg you for a Hillary supporter over a Hillary critic.

Yep. He is still to explain that confusing thing. Here's a brief, unresearched hint of what I might post if he can.

I wish that Hillary Clinton had not entered the race. You will have missed that comment a few weeks back. MSK. I think she is too old and will be weighted by baggage in her term. I find the whole story of a spouse-of seeking the same office as the spouse to be a bit tainted, or at least the kind of unprincipled 'wife of' history already apparent in America -- Nellie Tayloe Ross, Ma Ferguson, Lurleen Wallace. I just don't think Clinton 'deserves' a run at the ring. She has amassed too many advantages that even if my Red-Hot Leftishism might get a warm glow at a Red in the White House, I would be more chagrined at the process. It will seem unfair at its root. (I have a similar reaction to Son-Of Justin Trudeau. I hate the name-advantage he holds, his coronation at the party election, his name advantage in our forthcoming federal election)

I think the USA election will not be won or lost by Clinton but by the Republicans. Can they unite the anti-Clinton vote around their nominee? Looking at the field my prediction has been that they will not top Romney numbers with any of the guys yet.

So to the prediction as I see it, a spousal Clinton returned to the Executive, I feel more disquiet than positive expectancy. I remain soothed a bit by Adam's sagacity a few years back in this thread, when he was wishful for a Clinton to outflank the clearly worse choice, Obama, when he would have been happier with her. Maybe it won't be as bad as the last eight years of disaster.

About the only non-forced advantage I might grant Clinton is her four years at State. She did her job. Its on her CV. Nothing of equal weight is on her Republican would-be challengers. She has dealt with the upper echelon already, and unless she is a complete and utter maniac, she has American interests at heart.

Thin gruel for those who loathe and fear the prospect of four more years of a Democratic commander, a nasty sort of Queen.

Adam, you have had plenty of opportunities to address me directly here. If you can't show good faith the world will lose a thoughtful essay ... Why Hillary Clinton Should Not Be President.

Brant, our apologies met and had a fun outing in the desert together, drinking in the fine sweet air of Reason until they annihilated each other in a great explosion of light. Thanks. Our regular 'Evita the Evul Ogress With Big Fat Ankles and A Shrieky Voice' programming will now resume, me, my ignorance of HRC and I will head back to the drydock.

I get that. Clinton is the embodiment of sleaze from your perspective.

Seriously?

Are you at all familiar about what Whitewater was actually about?

Essentially, Evita and her associates set up a land contract that was marketed to a certain "niche" of folks.

You got the land and you paid a mortgage. However, there was a clever little clause in the contract wherein, if you were late with one (1) payment [late being 30 days], the property automatically reverted to the land trust.

So, if you paid 59 payments on a 5 year note, and were 35 days late with the final payment, you lost everything. You never developed any equity.

If you're quoting Bill he may actually have CDS if only out of ignorance. CDS is inability to think straight about her whether you're for or against her.

but only a faux psychiatric disorder

Geez, thank God you got what I was doing Brant.

It's the Humor thread thingy. I kept going for the cheap laugh.

It's OK.

I am not known for my subtlety unless I am hired to be subtle and I avoid those like the plague, unless the mortgage is due lol.
