A Reality-Based Approach

Imagine an Eastern European Jew, emigrating to the West sometime in the last century.

This person is a genius, a polymath and a powerful writer in his/her second language.

Imagine our genius is focused solely on reality, and life on earth. Imagine our genius has a profound respect for the evidence of the senses, the role of consciousness in observing the facts of reality and the importance of each individual's intelligence. Imagine that our genius rejects traditional mystic notions in formulating this philosophy. Imagine further that our friend labors largely in obscurity, but, starting in the 1950's, but starts, mainly through word of mouth, to become recognized for turning thousands of years of tradition on its head.

Finally, consider that the following has been said about this new philosophy: "We improve our well being when we learn to fully use ourselves. Our intelligence depends upon the opportunity we take to experience and learn on our own. This self learning leads to full, dynamic living."
