Summer Seminar May 14th Early Registration Deadline Approaching
The May 14th early registration deadline for The Atlas Society's 2007 Summer Seminar on the theory and practice of Objectivism is fast approaching. If you haven't signed up yet, you can save money--always a good thing!--by securing your place at what will be an intellectually stimulating and spiritually renewing week.
The Seminar will be held at Towson University in Towson, Maryland during the week of July 8th through the 15th. The Summer Seminar is an event where people from around the country and overseas gather to celebrate ideas, friendships, and Objectivist philosophy. This year we hope to have the most successful Seminar yet with over 30 speakers and 50 sessions representing a wide variety fields ranging from art to history to politics.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the publication of Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand's classic that was the fount of a new philosophy and an inspiration for millions of readers. The Summer Seminar offers the perfect opportunity to reflect upon the achievements of that philosophy and advance your knowledge of it in theory and practice.
Please note this year's schedule is different from previous years' in order to make it easier for West Coast participants to attend. This year's Seminar sessions will be held Monday, July 9th through Saturday, the 14th. Full-week check-in and registration will be held on Sunday, July 8th, along with our traditional opening cookout. Final check-out and good- byes will be Sunday, July 15.
Towson is located just outside Baltimore and its Inner Harbor, where there are numerous restaurants, shops, and attractions to visit. Towson University is also just an hour's drive from Washington DC where you can visit the National Mall, the Smithsonian, and all the other attractions the city has to offer.
Register by May 14 to receive a 17% discount over the regular full-week registration fee. Daily rates are also available. Students and recent graduates (2006 or later) can register at a special, exceptionally discounted rate.
