Welcome to my blog on Objectivist Living!

As some of you already know, it has been my intent for over 40 years to propose and promote improvements to Objectivism, the philosophy developed by the Russian-American novelist, Ayn Rand, and her two chief spokesmen, Nathaniel Branden and Leonard Peikoff.

I have done so through numerous essays published in magazines and journals since 1970, and I continue to write material for forthcoming essays and at least two books, one on false alternatives in philosophy and one on meaning in music. People interested in reading my existing published and unpublished essays are welcome to peruse them at my personal web site, www.rogerbissell.com under the heading "Words and Music."

In this blog, I will first provide some background details on concerns I have over this project. Then I will occasionally be sharing some of my work in progress, including points about which I am puzzled or unclear. People are welcome to post comments here, but they are subject to approval, which will not be granted automatically. Enough said about that.
