These are two movies that the climax in the gunfight at OK Corral.

Both of these movies came out about the same year and they both are being shown on cable.

Wyatt Earp is the life story of Earp who became the most famous Western sheriff. Earp lived long enough to survive into 20ths so he was able to create his own biography. He also was what today would be called a technical advisor to some early movies.

The story is primarily about Earp and Doc Holliday. Doc Holliday is the more interesting character in both movies. Dr. Holliday killed a great many people in a gunfights.

In the movies the better Doc Holliday is Dennis Quaid in Wyatt Earp. Doc Holliday is the more interesting character in the movies.

In Tombstone one of the most interesting characters is Josie Marks who was Earp's last wife. She lived until 1948. Dana Delaney is wonderful in Tombstone. She is liberated woman well before it was fashionable. The last scene in Tombstone with her and Kurt Russell.
