Existence,  brought to your front door  by Entropy. The reason why we have what we have  is because the Cosmos is falling apart.

They've got rocks like that in Virginia?

--rock on

[SB - That is Lovers Leap at Blowing Rock, NC. But yes, same chain of mountains (Blue Ridge) as here by us in Lynchburg, VA.]

so far

Cause for rejoicing.  I hope S.B. is in good health and in a feisty mood.

This sound a bit like a lament.  Have you lost someone near and dear?  If so, may your grief pass.  If  not,  good news.

[SB - It was 26 years ago. He was my first lover. We were together from 1968 to his death in 1990, when we were both 41. I spread his ashes at the lake near Belmont Harbor in Chicago that June at sunrise. I returned there for the next twenty years on his day, with peonies to float out towards the sun rising out of the lake. I met Walter in 1996. He went with me to Jerry's Day sunrise sometimes, and after we moved to Lynchburg, we soon planted a bed of peonies. Those in this photo were from our garden this year.]
