A fresh re-assessment which puts Roark in a contemporary light. Excellent! Thanks, jts.

Okay. A very good think piece, but the author's referenced world is the world of The Fountainhead. It contains a lot of fiction, mostly by omission. Rand's villains died off in the 1960s with Toohey & Co. replaced by pure, anti-intellectual scum wanna be fascists to the max.

Not very good. And the author states Roark and Galt are "artists." Oh, boy!

I was wondering about that. Roark was an artist if architecture is an art. But Galt?

I looked up  < artist definition > to see if there is a weird definition. One of the definitions is:

artist:  a person whose work exhibits exceptional skill
