I know that William Ayers is unlikely to be Obama's actual appointment to be Secretary of Education, but it is likely that he will appoint someone similar. Here is what I am worried about:

In general, I would like to encourage people to read, "Left Back, A Century of Failed School Reforms," by Dianne Ravitch. She is very thorough and fair minded.

If you have kids, consider the possibility of home-schooling them or sending them to a private school. I have done both.
