I have had thing about the Unitarians for a long time. First of all it is where some Reform Jews go when they consider Reform Judaism a tad too religious for their liking but they have not the inclination to be atheists. The Unitarians are really Good Guys. They means well, they are tolerant to a fault and they are not given to religious extremes. I once did a survey of Unitarian congregations in Eastern Massachusetts. You can always spot the U-U (Unitarian Universalist) churches by their steeples. They all have question marks ("?") at the top. Also, after services they serve vanilla cookies and tea of medium strength.
I published a very thin book once entitled -Strong Opinions and Passionately Held Beliefs Among the Unitarians". Historically Unitarians once had a crusade to the Holy Land. They came in moderate numbers with collection cans to support UNICEF. This book did manage to anger some of the U-Us in town who came to my house and burned a question mark on my lawn.
